Nokia XL speed dial settings: no possibility to se...

If I set a number on the speed dial settings it is obvious that I will call the contact always using a specific sim.
why not have the possibility to set the sim to use.

Hi, navio1973. This can be done. You can select which SIM card to use whenever you call or send text messages. To enable this, go to Settings > Phone > Dual SIM > Calls and messages > Always ask. If you prefer to use your SIM 2, you can also set it by selecting SIM 2. Hope this helps.

  • SRP547W Voice User# Speed Dial Settings - Access?

How is the Voice>User>Speed Dial Settings number accessed from a phone keyboard?
Is the field in the settings page a dial plan string?
Unlike the Selective Call Forward Settings entires, this field seems to only accept a phone number or URL.
As such, I'm not sure how to access it from the phone keyboard.

    Hi Gary,
Once configured, you should just have to press n then # - where n is the speed dial index (2 - 9).
    Regards,
    Andy

  • Nokia 6230i Speed-Dials

I have a Nokia 6230i and wish to set speed dials as I had on my previous phone, a Nokia 8210.
On the 8210 I could set the speed dial on all numbers 1 - 9, including the No. 1 button. By pressing the key pad No. (e.g. number 1 button) and then pressing the hash button (bottom right) the display would change and the telephone number of speed dial for button No 1 would be displayed (e.g. 0121 123 4567) prior to making the call.
I could do this with all buttons 1 - 9 and show the 'phone number for each button.
The instruction book did not show how to do this, but somehow I managed it: I've since forgotten how I did it!
I would like to have the same function on my 6230i but I cannot replicate the same conditions as my 8210. On the 6230i I can put speed dials in buttons 2 - 9 (but not in button No 1 as it defaults to 901 each time - which I don't want) but I cannot find the facility for showing the number on screen for all the 1 - 9 buttons prior to dialing. Can anybody help please?

    Try this:
    Go into the following Menus:
Messages >> Voice Messages >> Voice Mailbox
Change voice mailbox number (available by ringing your operator) or whatever you want to change it to.

  • I want to use the speed dial extension when I start firefox. I have the option checked in speed dial settings but firefox does not open to the speed dial. How do I get this to work?

I want firefox to open up to the speed dial add-on so I can use it as my start page. In the speed dial options I have checked the option to start firefox in the speed dial but when I open firefox it doesn't open the speed dial.

Sorry, I don't use that add-on, and I don't see a SpeedDial support forum listed on the download page. <br />

  • Nokia E61/Speed Dial - Invalid number error

I have synchronized with my outlook to pull my contacts into the phone. I can dial out of the contacts just fine but when I try to assign one to a speed dial button I get an "invalid number" error. If I create a new contact, it works when I assign it but not when I used one pulled in from my Outlook contacts. Any ideas?

I just noticed something similar to this problem on my E65.
If I assign a number to my SpeedDial (eg. +61-3-9999-9999) it will work if I use the hard key button to invoke the speed dial.
But if I start the Speed Dial application and use that interface on the GUI to call the interface the E65 complains "Invalid Phone Number".
It is strange the the hard-key speed-dial will work, yet the application interface doesn't.
    Any suggestions?

  • Nokia 6300 speed dial issue?

Many times when I key in a number (for speed dial), it actually calls the last dialed number. For instance, I've my home number at No. 2, I press 2 and then press call, it calls the last dialed number! I try it again, it works and calls home.
But the first time is always the last dialed no. and not the speed dial number!
    Anybody else face this problem?

Tried that too, since thats the legit speed dial method explained in the manual. Same problem - goes to the last called number and not to the assigned number! Waiting for the firmware update in the hope that this may be rectified in that!

  • I have recently needed to reimage my computer. As a result I needed to reload Firefoix. I backed up the "Mozilla Firefox" and "Profile" folders but don't know how to recover my speed dial settings. Can anyone help?

I have downloaded the speed dial add-on and placed the previously mentioned folders in the proper directory.

See Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device, there are useful links in there even if you don't have a device.

Food for thought:  There is actually information released by the NTSB that even using "hands free" devices while driving have been proven to  distract drivers.
As for the Bluetooth commands: I've never used "speed dial" I usually say "Call Nicole Mobile" and it will connect still with no problems.
I just tried to use the voice command "call speed dial 1" and it did not recognize it.  It appears you must use the name now.

  • N8 Speed Dial

Any body encountered a problem with the Nokia N8 speed Dial? when I keep pressing a number assigned to a contact, the phone freezes and reboots...
    Any help?

Yes I have the same issue, although I have'nt worked out what causes it to do this there is definately a problem.
Some are saying it might be the use of various characters like these " [ { ( ) } ] ' etc, but I dont use these in my contacts as I found out a long time ago some mobiles just dont like them.
Although it does not happen all the time, the frequency I found was about 3 out of 10, when it starts doing it it will continue to do it for 2 or 3 times in a row.
Currently I just dont use speed dial, which is a massive pain in the but.
I had created a post here which I will leave open for now and see what the outcome is.  I have searched and its clear others are having the same problem.
Come on Mr. Nokia ... time to have a look at this as I have had x3 N8's replaced because of this, and in 1 instance I was fortunate enough to show the team @ Vodafone, do I now have to show the Optus team the same issue's.
    Thanks.

  • Speed Dials on 1100

I can't edit the speed dials on my 1100. When I try, it accepts the edit and claims to save the replacement but when I key the number, I get the old speed-dial name and number. I can't even delete! It just keeps coming back!! Any ideas?Message Edited by dbcsan on 29-Nov-2005

    Hi,
On your 1100, go to Menu>Contacts and select Speedials. On any selected Speedial, you should have Options. In this menu you should have "Change to call" which allows you to change the speedial to be assigned to another Contact, or you have Delete which should delete the speedial altogether. If this doesnt work, you could also possible try a factory reset by selecting Menu>Settings>Restore factory settings. For this however you will need your security code which by default should be 12345.
If everything else fails to work, my suggestion would be to pop in and see a Nokia engineer as it must be a fault on the handset.
    I hope this helps.
    Cheers
    Bluelou

  • 5800 - cannot speed dial and dial from handsfree c...

I verified the following behaviour of the new 5800 which seems to me to be a bug, because it works on other nokia series 60 phones:
Because I synchronize my phonebook with MS Outlook, phone numbers have the syntax "+43 (1) 9876543". These phonebook entries can be dialed without problems when I call using the phonebook.
But if I use the speed dialing feature (press and hold e.g. key "2" ), I get the message "Nicht gestattet" (German, means "not allowed" ), and the number is not dialed. If I delete the spaces and the brackets, dialing is possible without problems.
The same behaviour can be seen if I try to dial from my built in handsfree set in my car with numbers as described above.
Before the 5800 I used a E65 and a 6120c, there the syntax described above worked without problems.
    Software: v11.0.008.red.01
    Any clues?
    Best regards,
    Thomas

Sorry, this is no fix, this is a workaround. It is clear, that this will avoid the problems. But PIMs like MS Outlook create phone numbers in this format; after synchronization with my phone, there are spaces in all of the phone numbers. Therefore I suggest, Nokia implements this like for all other S60v3 phones. This would be the only fix. Regards, Thomas.
