Non-free apps in the iOS Free-Topcharts

Hey,
since a couple of days I often see apps in the iOS Appstore's topcharts "free"-section, which are not free?!
Today there is a 4,49€ at the 1.place of the "free-charts". See screenshot...
How could that be?
If I decide to download one of these apps, what will happen? Will I have to pay the price, or is it free as the section says?
If one has to pay for an app, which is advertised to be for free, that would be a scam in my opinion...

"free app" and "free download" are the same thing when it comes to the iTunes Store. In either case, you are not charged for obtaining and using the app with the features available at the time of download. Some developers offer a "light" version of their app with fewer features as a trial version since the iTunes Store does not offer time-limited versions. The developer then may either allow you to buy additional features as an in-app purchase, or require you buy a different version of the app to get the full feature set.
I don't know what else anyone can tell you. And being rude to those who have tried to give you the information you're seeking will not be a winning strategy for getting assistance here.

Sorry for the delay in replying.
The IOS simulator appears to respect the DPI information for displays, even going as far as to switch the scaling setting for retina-enabled virtual IOS devices when you move the simulator from a high-DPI display to a regular display. As I have both, I'd get a reasonable facsimile.
Unfortunately there's no way to make IPAs run in the simulator -- as I've now discovered, it's not emulating the ARM environment and apps have to be compiled for the simulator to use it for testing.
I'll have to go shopping...

No Airdrop for iPhone 4S. And the Camera should be the same place it was before. Did you try searching Spotlight for it?

I think you did not understand my problem. I don't want to create a new folio and publish it, I want to add some new content to the app that is already in the iOS market. I have created some new articles that I want to add to the already existing folio and so a new update with some new content will appear on the iOS Market.

Is there a way to configure Mavericks Mail app like the iOS Mail so that mail messages are not automatically downloaded, and they will only download when you click on the titles on the list of messages on the left?

The steps below will disable the automatic checking of new email for your email account: Please note that even though the article title is for Mountain Lion, the same applies to Mavericks.
You can set Mail so that it doesn’t automatically retrieve messages from an account—for example, if you have an account you use only occasionally or you don’t want to check a personal account while you’re at work.
Choose Mail > Preferences, and then click Accounts.
Select an account, and then click Advanced.
Deselect the “Include when automatically checking for new messages” checkbox.
When you exclude an account from automatic checking, you must manually check the account for new messages. To do so, click the Get Mail icon in the Mail toolbar.
Internet Message Access Protocol (IMAP) accounts are automatically synced with the mail server (and so automatically check for new messages). To keep an IMAP account from being synced, take it offline.

Just installing non compatible apps frys the computer?

I have been using leopard since day one and it has worked just about trouble free. I installed lots of apps I knew where compatible during this time period. I decided to move all the apps I had on a drive with tiger to my leopard drive and ended up being stuck at the stalled blue screen on start up.
My question is did the non compatible apps cause this? I thought a non leopard compatible app would just not work when you tried to launch it. I didn't think just the mere presence on Leopard would goof things up.

When I migrated my old apps to Leopard i simply got a "note" that some would not work, Virex being one of them.
I have since tried to run it - it runs and stalls.
I have also tried to run Sherlock - it gives me a message - "Sorry, Charlie but ...."
There may be some 3rd party apps, though, that initialize on boot and may cause a blue screen.
Most apps only run when you start them, but not all of them. Some Epson printer and scanner apps for example install a program that runs on boot and looks for activity.
I suggest you look in your startup programs first and then check your logs to see what's going on.
A "Safe" boot might get you through the bluemeanies.

My purchased audiobooks not showing in my music app on the ios 6

I am having a small problem, I recently installed the new ios 6 and last night I sync my iphone 4s and when I unplugged it i noticed my audiobook wasn't there. I went to the imusic app at the bottom of the phone and I can['t find the audiobook tab. I tried searching for the audiobook and couldn't find it within my music list. I plugged the iphone again, and the audiobook shows that it is sync to the phone. So for some reason it's not appearing in my imusic app. Please help!

Media was moved via external hard disk, and I think I moved the iTunes Media folder after consolidating it.

After I had download the ios 8 operating system my stock weather app has been very laggy (the animation where you tap on the city and it will give you a detail info on the weather)

I get better 3G signal after the last update and in some areas where I used to get 1 or 2 bars maximum, now I get 3 and it is not dropping like before.

I have deployed iOS app in the Cloud using intune
I have registered my iOS divece in cloud
I have installed "company portal" on device
I was able to install the deployed iOS app in the device(iPad)
By mistakenly i have deleted the installed app in the device.
How do i re-install the iOS app in the device which is avaliable in cloud?

If this application was packaged with an IPA file (iPhone App) then you will not see the application in the Company Portal, you'll need to use m.manage.microsoft.com from Safari to see and install the application.
If this app was one you created from the iPhone App Store, that application should be visible and you can initiate a reinstallation from the Company Portal.

ITunes app rejected: app uses the iOS Advertising Identifier but does not include ad functionality

my latest app version just got rejected for referencing
class: ASIdentifierManager
selector: advertisingIdentifier
framework: AdSupport.framework
without showing any advertisements. From my understanding they are referenced by the Facebook SDK to "Attribute this app installation to a previously served advertisement", which I checked when submitting the app version to iTunes. I do not serve ads inside the application and have no plans to do so. Anyone with similar experiences? Because the only solution seems to remove Facebook SDK which is no option.

Well, I lodged the appeal - Apple checked and this is the message we got. We are now getting desperate to chief the launch date - Either Apple or Adobe are wrong - which one is it? Desperate.
