The volume control buttons on my iphone 4 no longer appear to work, has anyone had this problem?
My phone no longer rings when someone is calling, it just vibrates. The alarm will still produce sound & I get the sound notification for email. I have reset it, messed around with the settings, and switched the side mute button on & off. I have an iPad 3, iPad Mini and iPhone 5S and they are all sluggish on capitalisation using shift keys. I hope that Apple will solve the problem because it is driving me crazy.
I find using a Microsoft Surface and Windows 8 phone, which I also have, work as well as all the ios devices before the ios 7 upgrade.
It has something to do with the length of time that you need to hold the shift key down. The shift key needs to be held longer than the letter key for the capitalisation to work. For some reason, this is a major change in the way we have learnt to touch type on computers. I am having to relearn how to type!

Yep, and it still didn't work.
But I figured what I did wrong: I was selecting both the text and the heart, and then I was doing the whole Object>Wrap Text>Make thing, as opposed to just selecting the heart and doing it. Once I did it, I moved the heart around on top of the text, and it "made room" for the pic, wrapping itself around the heart.

I need help. My itunes cd diagnostic test says everything is fine. However when I put in a cd no tracks appear. I am at a loss as what to do. I running the lastest version of itunes and have Vista. I never have had this problem before....thanks in advance for any help.

I have AVI files that I need to convert to MOV files so that I can edit them in Final Cut Pro. I am going to use Quick Time Pro for this....When I have the files open in QT Pro do I have to 'export' it or can I just 'save as', or is there even a difference? Thanks in advance for your help!
I strongly recommend you use compressor to do the conversion (if it will open the files - since quicktime will open them, it will more than likely do it.
Compressor allows you to customize presets and save them and apply them to multiple files. Although the interface may seem daunting, it's actually pretty simple.
Even if you can edit the avi in fcp, it's not a good idea. Liable to cause problems down the road. -
I have to get a new ipad. When i backed up my ipad to icloud, are my pics, apps, and music(not from itunes) backed up as well? If not, how do i back them up to transfer them all to my my new ipad? Thanks in advance for your help!

thanks in advance for any help! I am having difficulty syncing music from my iphone. this new music was uploaded to my iphone from my parents computer. I have an itunes library on their computer.
You can only sync to 1 computer at a time.
To put the music on it from the other computer, you switched the sync computer to that one.
If the music was purchased from iTunes and is under the same ID as your home computer, why don't you go into iTunes, open the store, click on the purchased link and download it from there? -
New to iTunes. Have large library entirely from legit CDs purchased. Only about a third of my libabry downloads into i tunes and even new, common CDs dont seem to load up ( example, Real Live Roadrunning- Mark Knopfler and Emmy Lou Harris) when I try to transfer in tunes from my CD. Is there some trick to this? Thanks in advance for the advice.
Both, but that helped. After different tries at one point it prompted a reformat from wma and that did the trick. Deleted the iTunes library and rebuilt from scratch reformated. The cd import had dropped it into a file in neither Zune, nor iTunes, nor "music". I stumbled acorss it hours later..have to figure out how to do that better. Thanks.

How come although iPads are getting more powerful, the iOS apps from apple are so mediocre and just not that great? We spend all this money for the latest ipad and all we get is these $5 video and music apps from apple. Why create the iOS platform and only offer so so apps like IMovie and GarageBand ? While other developers are offering much better apps like pinnacle studio for video, Cubasis and Auria for music production, apple has not showed much growth in terms of innovation. While there's nothing wrong with making an app like GarageBand where "anyone " can make a song, how about something for real musicians or an app not so basic as it get for video editing? After spending 0ver $700 on an ipad I'd be willing to spend more than $5 for a better video or audio app.
First, try a system reset although I can't give you any confidence. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. It could take well over an hour! Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here. -
have an Adobe PRO 11 user converting a word Document to PDF using PDFMAKER and all of the numbering is disappearing from left column,. Has anyone had this happen and if so what is the fix?

Related errors: 2, 4, 6, 9, 1000, 1611, 9006, 9807, or 9844. Sometimes as a result of this issue, a device might stop responding during the restore process.
Check your security software and settings, which can block ports and prevent connection to Apple servers during update and restore.
