Not able to access lotus notes web mail through safari on my ipad 2
I am using ipad 2 on 6.1. As a newbie I tried to connect to my lotus notes account through safari and chrome, but couldnt. Plz help.

Perhaps related, ever since upgrading to 4.0.1 I can't even log in to google mail. I've cleared cookies, cache, history, and power cycled the phone, but no matter what cookie setting I choose in the settings menu, Gmail fails to accept my login, telling me that my browser isn't accepting cookies. Anyone found a workaround?

Recently I have not been able to sign into my yahoo email through safari on my iPad. I have a 3rd generation iPad. I have tried clearing history, cookies and data and rebooted my iPad, but none of these worked. After entering yahoo, I go straight to "sign in" it then brings me to the page where I can sign in. After entering my details, I press the "sign in button" but nothing happens. The "sign in"button/icon isn't like what it used to be. By this I mean.. Before when im signing the icon is more of an opaque colour, but recently it will be like something is covering the word "sign in" so the colour is more faint. This is actually probably why I can't sign in. Can anyone help me fix this problem? Much help will be appreciated!
By the way, the safari setting is: private browsing off and accept cookies from visited. Much help is appreciated!

I have checked the server, checked connections, still cannot send mail.

Other members of my family are able to access my ".me" e-mail account. How do I set my account so that only I am able to access that account?
Are you sharing the same iCloud account with your family members and they all have access to the password?
If so, that's why. iCloud accounts are not designed to be shared if you want to keep your email, contacts, calendars etc. seperate. -
If I create separate Apple IDs for my children, will they still be able to access content I have purchased on their iPhones and iPads?
I happened to stop at the Apple store yesterday for a separate issue and had a discussion about iCloud. Seems like this is how iCloud works (also, there's another thread on this forum that explains it well).
Each member of the family can have their own iCloud ID, which will be used for Mail, Calendar, Contacts, Apps, Bookmarks, Media, Photos, etc. and having this content synced automatically with a Mac (computer). The iCloud IDs work in tandem with the associated Apple ID — so while you cannot have multiple Apple IDs, you can certainly have multiple iCloud IDs tagged with a certain Apple ID.
While all this makes sense from the iOS device standpoint, I'm unclear on how things will sync with a Mac computer, especially if the family uses a single iMac with multiple login IDs for various members. For instance, I currently have an iMac and iTunes content resides in my Public folder, which my wife can still access when she logs in with her login ID. I'm guessing that I'll be able to set up her iCloud ID using her login, set up my iCloud ID using my login, while both our iMac logins will retain the same Apple ID. This would take care of syncing Photos, Contacts, Calendars, etc.
Another (not sure if unique) problem I face is our Address Book — right now, we have one GIANT address book with different groups set up. Certain groups sync to her iPhone, while others to mine. Some contacts are common between both of us. I'm hoping that if she/I updates a common contact, then the change will be reflected in both our groups of contacts. I hope this makes sense — for instance, I update a contact named Joe, and he's on my group of contacts in my iPhone. Hope iCloud updates the master contact card for Joe on the iMac, which would then automatically trigger the update on my wife's group of contacts—that Joe also belongs to— leading to an update on her iOS device as well.

I used to able to access and listen to my itunes library on my ipad using the remote app but this no longer works. I am connected but sound thru ipad- just controls my library on iMac. Is this because of they want us to use itunes match
That has nothing to do with iTunes match. The Remote app on iPad can control the computer's iTunes but not play content from iTunes on your iPad.
To play for example iTunes imusic on iPad
You need to have Home Sharing On.
Check Settings > Music > Home Sharing (key in your Apple ID & password here, must be the same on computer's iTunes)
Start iPad's Music app, tap the ... More (bottom right), tap Shared.
Choose your iTunes' library and have fun. -

Problems with printing MS Office docs from web-mail in Safari

I have some problems when I try to print MS Office documents which are the attachments in my web-mail in Safari. I open the attachment online without saving it on my computer. Safari shows a blank page in Print Preview and the printer prints a blank page too. We tried to repeat it with another printer and with another iMac. The result is the same. PDF files have no problem with previewing and printing. Does anybody know how to resolve this problem? Thank you!Hi, thank you for your comment. I am having trouble authorizing my computer to allow me to access songs I have purchased through itunes from my ipad. The directions say to select "authorize this computer" from the menu in itunes but I cannot find that anywhere. Either I'm not finding the correct menu or it's somewhere else. Any ideas? Getting errors regarding database in eventviewer.Also, if you reset the "sa" password in Microsoft SQL Server, you will want to reset it in MeetingPlace. Do this by going to the desktop of the Web Server(s), then double click on the orange door on the bottom right, click on the Web Conferencing tab, and re-entering the "sa" password for both the Database Connection and the Slave Database Connection if both are showing.
Then you may need to restart the "Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Web Conferencing" service.
If this still does not work, you can open a SQL Server tool such as Enterprise Manager or Query Analyzer and try to connect to the SQL server using the "sa" credentials.

Database mail is not sending mail through SMTP TLS

I have strange issue with SQL 2012 and Database mail. For some reason server refusing to send email over SMTP TLS. The only error reported to log is below which is completely useless (shame on you Microsoft for that).
I verified that there
1. No networking issues between server and SMTP relay host (Installed Windows Mail and sent mail through it)
2. That account and password is right (verification same as above)
3. That mail engine itself is working (verified through plain SMTP relay through local box itself)
I made a network capture of the process as well and it showing SQL server making initial TLS connection successfully to SMTP relay box and then never sending any data over established TCP connection and eventually timinig out after 60s with no data being
sent).
Any ideas?

The mail could not be sent to the recipients because of the mail server failure. (Sending Mail using Account 2 (2015-01-04T02:03:33). Exception Message: Cannot send mails to mail server. (Failure sending mail.).I looked at both locations mentioned and there is nothing there to tell exactly what is the problem. Again I see on network capture that connection IS established, just no data is being sent.
Relay is done through AWS relay server so there is not an issue on their side. Again I tested this scenario via Windows Mail client installed directly on SQL server, so any issues on the other side (like connectivity, timeouts, AV interferences are ruled
out since Windows Mail works).
Email error log supposed to have details about failure in last brackets, the one which in my case contains fuzzy "Failure to send mail". It supposed to say "unable to establish connection", "timeout expired" etc if there were
any issues on the other side. I have found a lot of reports of those issues on this forum where issue is explicitly stated in error message. In my case there is ZERO information about the issue. Mark Russinovich has excellent presentations where he talks about
useless error messages and this is certainly one of them.

I am out of town a lot and I do a lot of photoshop/scrapbooking. I would like to have my pictures and supplies on one hard drive that I'm able to access whether I'm at home or way. Do you know if this is doable with the Time Capsule? I know I can use the iCloud option but I'd rather not if I don't have to.

There are several possible ways to directly access TC.. using AFP only.. ie you must use a Mac.
The TC has to be setup correctly to allow remote access or the router you are using does.
But more importantly what IP is the ISP going to give you.. have you purchased a static public IP?? If not your IP is constantly changing and you need to use a dyndns service to provide a connection to the TC.. this is what icloud and btmm do.. but they hide it to make it useless to any other service.
TC does not have a dyndns client that is available for use by enduser.. so you need a decent router that does allow access and dyndns and you can bridge the TC behind it. All a lot of work to avoid icloud.

Do I have to use computer based mail app to send mail through Safari?
Can't believe I am confused on this...but....if I click on an email link in a web page that I am looking at in Safari, does sending email require opening and sending through a separate computer based mail app? My email accounts are through AOL, but doesn't seem that even if I sign in at AOL's website, that I can access a web page through them, and in turn have mail links link to my online AOL email page. That means that I have to use a mail app that people who access my computer and open and look into?
