Not Able to logon to CMC

Hi ,
I am unable to log on to CMC, Designer, Desktop Intelligence .
Error: Sever vandana:6400 not found or server may be down (FWM 01003) null
I don't understand where exactly is the problem because when i open CCM i found Apache , Oracle Db server and SIA are in running state. Server name is correct.After Installation of BO XI 3 , i was able to access everything but not after restart of system.
iam using Window XP SP2, Oracle 9i database with two user account in it BOUSER, BOAUDIT and default Tomcat Apache server. but prior to it i installed oracle 9i database .
while installing BO , i have to make changes to the port no as it was being used by oracle. All are installed in my home laptop having free 6 gb harddisk after the installation on C drive
At the time of installation , i choose the option of creating the BO user once the installation is done. is something wrong with it or default user account " Administrator" gets locked after first login to BO server.
Also is there a need to create a 2 SYSTEM DSN one for bo CMC and other for bo AUDIT after installing BO XI 3.1 because i haven't done this after the installation. If it needs to be done then when will i create the DSN before installation of BO or post installation. i guess issue is in non creation of DSN. Can you also tell me why DSN needs to be created.
Please help me how i can attach any document so that i will give the snapshots of the issue.

Hi Srinivas,
1. BO XI 3.1 is not supported on Windows XP. I.e. it requires a server os.
--- i completely understand your point and would have followed supported platform pdf if it was some real development project but i am only using it for learning purpose.
2. Are you able to connect to Oracle ?
yes oracle services under services .msc are runing and iam even able to logon to oracle db and access even BO repository
Anyways iam able to logon to CMS .have to stop and restart my oracle db services , apache tomcat server services and SIA servies after logon . after this i have to open CCM and click refresh and connect to manage servers to enable the other servers.
The order of stoping of services are Apache Tomcat , SIA , Oracle DB services &
The order of restarting these services are Oracle DB service , SIA , and then Apache Tomcat services.
The drawback being i have to stop and again restart these services after starting my laptop.

Win7 PC w/ new Active Directory user not able to logon to Win 2K Domain

Hello Friends,
I'm having an issue where our Windows 2000 domain controller does not seem to be on speaking terms with a newly created user on a Windows 7 pro machine.
Here's what I know:
User & Computer are both in AD and work! I've logged in with the new user (Donna) on several machines and other users can log into the computer.
DNS appears to be configured properly on the Win7 workstation (pointed to DC)
DNS is running on the DC and doesn't appear to have any issues.
DCDIAG looks good, all passes except BASC, that failed.
Locally, I've added the domain account to the machine in the users control panel
Removing the account and the computer from the domain didn't work (I've also renamed the computer)
I thought about just renaming the current account that is working to the new user, however, I've always had issues after doing so.
Any thoughts?

Not able to logon into repository Explorer in CR 2011

Hi experts,
I have CR 2011 installed on a native machine and this machine is connected to the server where CR server 2011 is installed.
But when I try to login into the Repository Explorer from the native machine it is not allowing me to do so.
But in the server everything is running fine.

What is the error message that you are getting?
Do you use the same user account from the client machine and the one used on the server? (if not try with the same account, it might be a rigths issue)

Not able to access Universe Designer

Hi,
I am facing an issue -
I am able to connect to CMC but when i try to logon to universe designer i get this error -
[repo_proxy 13] SessionFacade::openSessionLogon with user info has failed(Unable to log on: Could not connect to server 10.191.100.199:6400. Please check that the server name is correct, and that the server is running.
(hr=#0x80042a01).
Its sure that server is running , and i am able to logon into CMC. But not in designer ?
What could be a possible cause ?

I have checked in CMC , all the services are running and all the server are up , with the Valid lisence keys.
From the error messgae pasted above - it says that

As CMC is working fine it means that server is running ....still its showing the same messgae.

Not able to see all the SAP tables from CR 2008

Hi All,
1)I am not able to see all the SAP database tables(DEV server) from Database expert menu in CR 2008. Only tables those start with alphabet letters upto A & B are visible. I checked the database connection>right click>options> found no filters as well.
We are using the CR 2008 trial version with SAP ECC.
2) When i am trying with Production Server of SAP ECC, I am not able to logon to the SAP from CR 2008. It is giving error message
as : LOGON FAILED : User USER1 has no RFC AUTHORIZATION for function group SYST

Not able to connect DAC client after first time

Hi ,
I am installing OBI apps 7.9.6.2 . While configuring DAC , I was able to login to DAC client
with Administrator/Administrator ( given by oracle) for the first time and started exporting the metadata .
Unfortunately my machine got shut off in between the process .
Now after re-starting my machine , I am not able to logon to DAC with the same UserID / password .
Error : "Can't Authenticate user"
Since I can not logon , I can not create any other user too ,
I have tried creating a new authentication file too .
Please let me know if I am missing anything .

I restarted infa services , DAC server is still not started ( I am following steps as in install guide)
and tried to re-log and configure .
No luck .
client is able to connect to database , since test connection with DAC repository schema is working ,
but it is not finding the user in repository database .
I am thinking droping the repository schema and re-create so that during configuration of DAC repository is created again .
please let me know your suggestion .

Not able to Log on to Central Management Console

Hello All
My Application was down, so I shutdown the servers and web Servlet container(tomcat).
Then i restarted the servers and web Servlet container.
I am still not able to log into CMC.
I am getting the login page, but when I try to login it says :
"The system servername can be contacted, but there is no Central Management Server running at port 6400."
When I ran the script for server start up,I got the message
Failed to register with name server. Reason: a server of this name already exists.
Please check for name duplication and validness of the server: ConnectionServer

I hope you are working on a Unix server. If yes here is ur solution.
Check if under bobj/serverpids folder any listing is there. If yes then probably the BO are not stopped properly.
In that case u can kill the processes which are not stopped by using Kill -9 <pid>.
make sure that all processes that is BO services, tomcat services are stopped or the process are killed.
Once that is done restart the services and everything will be working fine.

Not able to see SAP Authontication in CMC

We have installed SAP BO XI3.1 SP3 linux version. We have been successfully installed business objects XI 3.1 SP3 on linux X64bit version. We have installed SAP integration also on same server we have installed it sucessfully. I was able to see SAP credentials at logon screen of CMC and Infoview. We login using adminsitrator we are not able to see SAP underr CMC authontication tab.
Can any one have faced same issue and how it was resolved can you please step by step instructions.
If any one have document that related to sap integration kit installation on linux please provide.

pls see below procedure to set classpath

In folder PORTAL-INF, there should be this file but its not there. what could be the reason.?

Not able to view the uploaded PAR file in the portal archive selection.

I have modified com.sap.portal.runtime.logon.par and have renamed it to some other name.
Now I have uploaded the par file.
The problem is that when choose new from PAR option (to create iview from a par file),I am not able to see the par file in the Portal Archive selection.
I also want to know that if I am able to call the par file in the iview, can I use this iview to have a portal login.
Our requirement is that we want to give login page for the portal in the portal home page.The portal home page will be for the anonymous users.

Crystal report not able to see a SQL view in Business One

Hi all
I am trying to create a report using views I have created in the Business One database.
I can run the report fine when using the Crystal Designer, but when I try to Preview the external Crystal report file from within Business One, it comes up with an error 'The table 'xxxx' can not be found'.
I have tried to make the connect an SAP Business One connection, and also tried it with the OLEDB connection. Neither worked.
(I can however preview other 'table' reports fine)
I am running SAP B1 8.8 SP 0 pl 15 and SQL2005.
As views are allowable in B1 databases I would hope that we can use them in our Crystal reports. Can we use views?
Or is it my setup/Crystal setup that is causing me issues.

Thank you both for your replies.
Gordon - great idea to use the Command mechanism. I had not thought of that but will give that a try.
Kevin - pleased to hear views are allowed as I often use them in my reports.
I think I have a more basic issue with my setup of Crystal & B1 on the system - and perhaps this is causing my inability to use views.
My current approach is to install Crystal Designer on the server. I know that it is preferable to put the designer elsewhere but I am not able to connect using SAP Business One connection at all from the client machines. Frustration! (Keeps saying Logon failed and I KNOW I have the correct logon details)
Will update this thread once I have set up the designer on the server and hopefully succeeded in including a view (or command) in a report.

Not able to create Distribution Model nor Import using IDX2

Hello,
I have created an RFC destination, and i'm able to connect successfully also remote logon is working with error, i have also created Port associated in RFC destination.
But when i try to added a message type in distribution model, i get an error rfc destination not maintained.
Same goes with Import of metadata, i not able to maintain an Port in IDX1, hence not able to import metadata.
If i import an Idoc or create an external defination will it help.

I am trying to configure the BI 7.0 system in EP 7.0. My systems are running on Windows 2003 32 bit edition. SP level is SPS11 & SP10
I have configured the UME where datasource is ABAP system. After using the supportdesk tool I am getting the below three erros in the system.
