Not able to view any report in BI Publisher 11g

Hello All
I have installed BI Publisher 11g in Intel Solaris 10. I started of from the scratch, created a Data Model, then created a Report. but now I am not able to view the report. Upon clicking the report name or Open it logs me out.
I am logged in as user, weblogic the default user created while installation.

Hi Rony,
You may have created the report initially with Web Layout only - therefore there will no paper layout.
To 'get' the paper layout back, select your Report module name from the Builder and then select Tools-->Report Wizard. Select 'Create both web and Paper Layout' and then go through the various wizard steps.

Not able to view any data in ESS 6.0 on EP7.0

Hi I have installed my ESS 6.0 business package SP 11 on SAP Netweaver portal 7.0 sp 11,ECC6.0.
For the Configuration of ESS,I used the pdf Configuring the Business Package for ESS-mySAPERP 2004 by sidhartha jain.
But now when I am clicking on any icon under ESS on portal,After initial screens,I am not able to get any further screen to enter the data.
For eg:-Employee Slef Service->Employee Search->Change own data.I dont get any screen at this stage.
I have checked all the steps thoroughly.My JCo connections are working fine.
Everything is right except this problem.
Can anybody please help me on this?

You are right.I have installed the ESS6.0 SP11.But in this stack,some of the components deployed with warning.
one component tc/sl.ut.content.erp.xss'/'sap.com'/'MAIN_ERP05PAT_C'/'2432982'/'0 has given the error at the time of deployement.

I checked the webdynpro's,it is visible now.I am able to see /ess~wiw deployed contents.
On portal,some clicks are still showing the blank pages and some finished with errors.

Not able to view crystal reports on SAP BI Platform 4.0

Clearly its a communication issue. You can check below things:
1. Check if firewall is blocking require ports on the server.
2. Also check if antivirus program is blocking any ports.
3. Check if you are able to access http://Servername:8080
4. Using telnet you can check port access.
Go to Start >> Run >> cmd and type telnet ServerName 8080
4. Add your URL in browser's Local Intranet settings and also in Trusted sites.
[Tools>>Internet Options >> Security]
After above changes, if you face the issue, please get in touch with your local IT Support/Network team.

Not able to view EBS report in EXCEL format

I have a requirement to create a report to be output in EXCEL directly. We are currently using EBS 11.5.10.2 , BIP 10.1.3.4.
I did the following
(1) Defined a Report using 6i Report Builder, a simple "Select * from X" report. Added it to an EBS resp and ran the report and got XML output.
(2) With the output in XML format, created a RTF template and also previewed in EXCEL
(3) Defined a Template and Data Definition using "XML Publisher Admin" resp.
(4) Per some web posts, added a Viewer Option "XML, application.vnd-excel, Miscrosoft Excel" thru System Administrator.
(5) Now when I submit the report with default option to EXCEL, I get a "no data found" error. PDF option works fine.

Firstly I don't think (4) is needed, as you're output when you choose Format = EXCEL will not be XML, but .xls.
Secondly, where are you seeing "no data found" ?? If is in your report, then is it being executed under the same Responsibility as in (1).

In BIP, For Teradata JDBC connection got established and now while i am trying to build a datamodel then its throwing me the error
Error 500--Internal Server Error

The server encountered an unexpected condition which prevented it from fulfilling the request.
If i am trying to click on any other thing like report i am getting error(just error with out any message)

Not able to edit the report created on different data source.....

I have a query regarding Report in OBIEE - reports developed from BI Publisher are specific to data source on which they have been created ??
i have a sample report that was created on different data source, i have the corresponding RPD also. I changed the data source according to my DB and when i try to update/edit the report,
on Analytics for adding a new column, it is generating a seperate new Query from QueryBuilder for that additional cloumn rather than adding up the new query with the previous one(existing report query). Is it because of mismatch of data source on which report had been created and on which it is being update ?? if it is the case, where do i need to make changes related to JDBC connection or others ??
when i try to create a new sample data set and try to update it, it adds up the extra edited things to original query and works perfectly fine. can ny 1 help me for the same ??

Normally,what we do is once we provide access to webi users group for each user from BO supervisor module, user(s) will able to refresh/edit the existing report from Full client BO.His colleagues have had no problem editing all his reports from their machines but he is not able to edit any report from his machine and BO is getting freeze.
He also reinstalled BO and cleaned out everything on his Computer and re-built it but the issue is not yet resolved
Can you please tell me how to resolve this issue

Not able to view catalogs in CCM after clicking on "edit catalog"

Hi all,
I am not able to view a single catalog (supplier, procurement or master) in CCM after clicking on edit catalog.
After clicking on "start" pushbutton, it is giving warning message "Error while editing Master catalog"
Could anybody tell me, what would be the problem ??

Thanks for reply and solution.....
but this problem is only for my user ID and not for all other user ID.
when we tried with other user IDs, all the catalogs are in green state and working fine. For my ID I am not able to view any catalog into edit catalog screen. When I am trying to search any catalog it is giving me warning message "Error in master catalog". When checked in SLG1 I got error as "catalog (catalog name) not found".
Is it related to any user setting or like that... as this is the issue with my individual ID.
Please suggest.

Not able to edit the report from BO 5.1

Hi,
User has Business Objects 5.1 version on his machine and he is able to login to Business Objects 5.1.2 and can also open the BO reports from the required path
When he edit the report, the BO is gettng hung and following errors occured one by one when he clicks ok button
error1: "you must close this universe(name of universe) before importing it"
when he clicks OK button on this error, second error is received
error2: "Some obsolete objects have been removed from the query. (QP0027)"
When he clicks OK button on this error, third error is received
error3:"A connection required to refresh this document is unavailable(DA0004)"
I am not understanding why these three errors are receiving one by one.Please tell me how to resolve above errors and edit the report

Not able to view reports by users under top org unit- Interactive Reports

HI,
We are using CRM interactive reports.
In my project the client is having 3 Sales Org with two sales office and two sales group for each office respectively.
When the document is created by the sales Executiv, he and his manager is able to see it in the reports but the top person of that org unit is not able to see the report.
Some say the report can be viewed by only employee responsible and his manager. In my project the core team is sitting in the top ORG unit. They want to see the reports of all the sales org units.

I am not able to see that navigation icons within an org chart box - The org unit that is displayed on clicking the orgchart does have branches in SAP but i am not able to see these navigation icons that lead me to these branches.
Is there any specific step that needs to be done to see these branches.
By the way what is the log file you are refering to is it the "PresentationResources.xml " or is it any other log file.

Java/jre upgraded to 1.7.0.45 and JAR files regenerated(without force option). Able to opne forms without any issues.

I am running Crystal Enterprise 8 with SP1 installed. After viewing 1 report and then closing ie - i am then unable to go back into ie and run another report. I then try to stop the pageserver but it does not stop, so i kill it and then restart it and i am able to view my report again. I then exit ie and i have to do the same thing again. Anyone got any ideas?

I started using CC a while back and have done most of the work on this project in CC. I believe i may be able to finish it in premiere pro cc. At the moment i have the project queued up and rendering.. Its taking a while, but i think it will work. Knowing the issue brings me a lot of relief! I was worried that it was just a problem with premiere. Thank you for you help! That issue is solved!

Becz of some requirement, i have customized SQR to store PDF output files into custom directory located in UNIX,
psreports/htst2/my_fodler.
When i try to access them using ViewContentURL or manually writing the follolwing URL into my browser while im being
in environment as syntaxed below
http://<webserver>/psreports/htst2/my_folder/my_pdf.pdf
the system kicks out of the system with the error "you are not authorized to view the report(s)" for all the users.
By default if i ran any report as distribution node setup all the PDF's are getting saved into...
/psreports/htst2/YYYYMMDD/CONTENT_ID/my_pdf.pdf
Those files im able to access like below
http://<webserver>/psreports/htst2/CONTENT_ID/my_pdf.pdf
Can anyone helpme out what is the difference and any workaround for this?

Fortunately, it is not allowed to go through all the path directories you want onto the server. If you want your report in a specific folder, then rewrite your code to create the output file where you want, after the admin give you the proper grant against that folder.
