Not enough memory message when opening excel and powerpoint
I am running Mac OS X version 10.5.8. I installed Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac about a year ago and was running it without any trouble until about 3 months ago. I can still open Word, but receive a 'not enough memory' message when I try to open Excel or Powerpoint. Has anyone else encountered this problem and does anyone know how to fix it? Thanks
Yes I have and I think that's when the problem occurred. I've just read another post from someone who was having the same problem. Apparently the solution is just to keep hitting the escape button every time the error message pops up and eventually the application opens! Not very high tech, but I'll give it a go and let you know how I get on.

I have windows 7 SP1 64 bit machine with 8 GB of RAM. and have office 365 pro plus installed on it. I use windows explorer preview pane a lot and suddenly it has stopped working. Whenever I click on any excel, power-point, word file with the preview pane
enabled it gives me the error as below:
for Excel: Not enough memory to run Microsoft Excel. Please close other applications and try again.
For Power point: there is not enough memory or system resources to start power point.
However the file opens fine when I double click it. I have tried the following"
1. Repaired, re-installed office 365 pro plus.
2. Disabled, enabled and changed virtual memory page file size. It did not make any difference.
3. Have verified folder and search options and they are fine for the preview pane.
Is there anything we can do about it?Since we were unable to reproduce in my test machine, we were unable to determine the root cause of the problem. This seems to be happening when Windows is trying instantiate the Office application for the preview in the Preview pane, if the repair
Office still doesn't work, we might turn our mind onto Windows OS level.
Here is my suggestion:
1. Disable all of security programs or Anti-virus on that machine.
2. Disable DEP.
3. If you installed any video or graphic codec programs, please temporary to remove them to check the result.

I've summary the Symptom as following:
When trying to open files from a file share using Microsoft Office 2013 via Windows Explorer, we're see the following messages in the respective Office apps (see below). However, after clicking OK in the respective dialog, the Office files open from

There's not enough memory or system resources to start Microsoft PowerPoint.
The issue does not happen if we navigate to the same file via the File > Open dialog.

Photoshop CS6 unusable -interface freezes and not enough memory message - on a specific hardware
I usually speak french but I'll try to be as clear as possible.
I work as a technician in a school and we're experiencing a major issue with Photoshop CS6.
We have 3 differents computer's hardware. Photoshop CS6 works fine on 2 of them.
On the other though, Photoshop CS6 is unusable. With this specific hardware, Photoshop has the same weird behavior on each machine (around 50), so it's not related to an hardware malfunction (like bad ram) I suppose.
Our problem is this: Once Photoshop is opened and you minimize it in the task bar, as soon as you maximise it to use it again, the interface doesn't respond well at all, the interface is all messed up, some windows are missing and most of the time Photoshop freezes. And after that, whatever we try to do, like selecting whatever option, we have the ''not enough memory'' message. So we can't do nothing with the program after that, from selecting another tool to saving a file.
Even when no file is opened and we have plenty of RAM that can be used, the problem is there.
The same problem occurs if we open a window above Photoshop (internet, word, everything). As soon as we go back to work in Photoshop, the interface freezes and windows are missing, and we get the same not enough memory message every time.
We already tried to change/desactivate each performance settings in Photoshop, we already installed the latest Photoshop CS6 update.
We've updated BIOS, processor driver, graphic card driver, etc.
We have this problem with Photoshop CS6 64 bits and 32 bits.
We dont have this problem with any other program in the CS6 suite.
We dont have this problem with Photoshop CS5.
We have the same graphic card and driver on the others computers where Photoshop CS6 works perfectly well.
What's bugging us is everything else in the production suite works fine!
Please, do you think of anything else we can try?
We're hopeless!

I am getting a 42404 error message when opening itunes and itunes will not let me connect my iphone to it trying to get me to restore. I need help? I am not that technically inclined and really simple terms are appreciated.
Try downloading the songs from a different device. If you are doing it from your iOS device, try form your computer.

Not enough memory error when disconnecting device on a virtual com port
I maintain a large application that collects data from many data source channels (using coustom hardware read thru a conventional COM port) and I am adding a GPS data source on a USB port using a virtual COM port driver. The application runs 24/7/365 and works well including the GPS data, if undisturbed. However, the application needs to tolerate a physical disconnect and reconnect of the GPS device without user intervention. When I disconnect the GPS, the application becomes unresponsive most of the time (the mouse responds and other programs that are open on the desktop work fine). I abstracted the serial code and made a separate vi (below) for testing. When I disconnect the GPS from the COM port, I get a "Not enough memory to complete this operation" message 9 out of 10 times and the vi is unresponsive until I clear the error message (the tenth time it continues working). I built the vi this way to collect data continuously. I suspect that this is the problem with the full app but I don't see the Not enough memory message there and therefore the full app does not respond and must be terminated via Task Manager. The full app runs full screen mode.
The LV app runs on Windows XP and LabView 7.0 (the client doesn't want to upgrade).
I have tried probing the error message lines at all points in the vi but they don't show anything when the 'Not enough memory' message occurs (they show the expected device not found error after clearing the error message).
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated,

First, there likley WAS human intervention that caused the GPS device to be removed. That wont happen when you lock the device inside a cabinet with the rest of the test system. Physical access control first! If someone goes and mucks with your experiment setup while its running, that's a "poor Labratory procedure" not a "new software requirement"
I think he was meaning to say without user intervention on the software side.
I have seen odd behavior if you disconnect from a com port whilst LV still has the port open. There are a couple things I myself woud try, being the experimenting type that I am. Perhaps setting up a com port check to see if it has a valid connection before polling for data. If not then a blank case or some other generic code.
The issue with this would be if it became disconnected while LV was polling data. Hard to get around this condition. Is there a way that the cause of the of the connect/disconnect (whether human or otherwise) could be set up so that a signal can be sent to the controlling system (pre-disconnect and post-connect) to trigger an event to handle the software side? A simple signal switch or something. Just thinking out loud. Withoug knowing all the particulars, it's hard to make detailed recommendations.

I had to reinstall CS4 and now have error messages when opening bridge and photoshop
The error message is "The specified module could not be found. C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Adobe Version Cue CS4\Client\4.0.1\Version Cue.DLL
I tried what you suggested and it did not help. whenever I try to open either photoshop or bridge, I get a message saying that there was a problem loading scripts the last time that Bridge was open and do I want to try loading them again? If I click yes, I get that same error message that I reported in my original question and photoshop/bridge will immediately close. If I click no, photoshop and bridge will open but it will not let me open a raw format document. It seems like Adobe Camera Raw is not being recognized. One of the updates I downloaded was an update to Adobe Camera Raw so the functionality is there, it just can't be accessed. do you think I should try to uninstall and re-install Photoshop again?

"There is not enough memory" message won't let me save
After running photoshop cs6 for an hour or two, I could not complete the save command because "there is not enough memory" message comes and my file won't save
sounds like you have some corruption going on, or perhaps a permissions issue (though I think that's less likely). Here are some things I'd try.
Create a new sequence with the proper settings for your footage. Copy all the clips in your old sequence and paste into the new sequence.
Create a new project with a new sequence. Copy and paste the clips of old sequence into the new sequence of the new project. Save As and give it a new file name.
Check the pathway to your Render folder and your Save folder. Make sure that permissions allow for READ AND WRITE all the way down. In other words, if your render folder is in:

Then make sure all three have READ WRITE permissions applied. Do this by selecting them one by one and hitting CMD+I for info. Then look at the permissions.

P800 "Not Enough Memory" error when trying to use Contacts
Now even after I reset my P800 from iSync I get this 'Not enough memory' error when I try to use my contact list.
This is getting really frustrating! I want to downgrade...I suspect it's the feed as I've just tried it and the latest episode fails. Try contacting the Podcast's producer/publisher to let them know, since they may not. From your linked page, click on their name and follow that to their website, where you should find contact details.
By the way, even if the problem is with iTunes, it's still down to the producer/publisher to rectify it, which is why I suggest you contact them

I just upgraded to Yosemite. Now when I try to open one particular document in Excel, I get a message that there's not enough memory. I can open other documents. The document I can't get to is the spreadsheet of my passwords. Go figure. When I check the storage under "about this Mac" it says I have 150 GB of 249 GB. I have a MacBook Air. Help please. "not enough memory" message in bridge
Bridge will not show any previews, just thumbnails. I keep getting the message "there is not enough memory" I've never seen this before. I'm using Bridge CS3 on my mac...10.4.11 software. My hard drive currently has 123 GB available. Any suggestions?

However, there's a setting to
Export Cache to Folders When Possible, and you should definitely have that checked. Otherwise you have to export the cache manually every time you move a file. That would be insane.
Psting your email publicly where the spambots can harvest it automatically is a very bad idea. Now watch your spam increase. :/

Not Enough Memory error when updating a podcast??
I am having difficulties with the Radio GoDaddy podcast. Last week when I subscribed, I entered the URL and iTunes downloaded the latest episode, no problem. They release a new episode every Wednesday. So this morning I clicked the Update button and I was presented with an error message in iTunes:
“There was a problem downloading http://radiogodaddy.com/feed. There is not enough memory available. Please check that the URL is correct and the connection to the network is active and try again.”
I’ve got 1.5 GB physical RAM and over 75 GB of free space on my HDD. The other two podcasts I subscribe to, both are from NPR, seem to work just fine. This would lead me to believe that it was an issue with the GoDaddy podcast. Has anyone else had this problem?Marking this question as answered. The problem has since resolved itself. Problem with the podcast feed.

"not enough memory" error when attempting to get some podcast episodes
I subscribe to several podcasts. All but one seem to be working perfectly. Here's the url of the one I'm having trouble with:

Here's the problem:
All episodes appear as they should. However, some of the episides WILL download when I select "Get" and some WILL NOT. Those that will not yield the following error message:
"There is a problem dowloading {episode name}. There is not enough memory available. Please check that the URL is correct and the connection to the network is active and try again."
Any ideas how to resolve this? I've tried:
1. Deleting old files.
2. Deleting and re-subscribing to the feed.

Why "not enough memory" error when saving edited files?
I've been editing photos from one folder and saving them to another, hundreds of them. Suddenly when I tried to open Photoshop Elements 9 from the raw editor I got an error that says "could not complete the command because there is not enough memory." I have noticed that when I go back and open a photo from the first file that I've already edited, the changes are applied to that file, even though I saved the edited file into the second folder. What can I do? I don't really want the photos in the first folder edited, just the ones in the second, and I don't need to store all my changes in memory. I still have hundreds to edit.
Is there a simple way to get back to my original RAW files in folder 1, without the edits that have been made applied to them?
The simplest way is to change your mindset, and say ... hey, no problem, that's the way the PSE RAW editor works, I will leave things as they are.
What could be simpler, you basically have to do nothing?
(And by the way, I say again that your original RAWs have NOT been changed in any way).
