I've got a similar problem. iTunes v10.2 worked fine, but when I tried to update it to 10.5 I got a 'Bonjour' error. I eventually solved that but I still couldn't upgrade to 10.5, so I deleted every single Apple, Quicktime, iTunes, etc file on my PC using Revo Unistaller (because the normal Windows Add/Delete programs wouldn't work) but now, when I install the latest iTunes version from scratch (on XP SP3), it says: "the installer encountered errors before it could be configured.... your system has not been modified"
Any ideas?

Have you tried signing out of your iTunes & App Store on your device and then back in again - Settings>iTunes & App Store, click on Apple ID, then on Sign Out. Then sign in again and see if it accepts the password.
If that doesn't resolve the issue, try resetting your device (nothing will be lost): Hold down the Home and Power buttons at the same time and continue to hold them down until the Apple appears (up to 30 seconds). Once the reset is complete, the Slide to Unlock screen will display. See if the problem is resolved.

I bought my iphone from carephone warehouse, sim free and with no contract. 5 months down the line I had a problem with the phone and I booked a genius appointment, they swapped my phone and gave me a new phone but they locked my phone to tmobile!!! I now do not use tmobile and I have an iphone which is locked to tmobile!!! I bought an unlocked phone and apple have locked it!!! what can i do?
In response to this, Carphone Warehouse (and Phones4U) sell what is commonly referred to as "sim free" handsets - these are not the same as unlocked. Sim free handsets will automatically lock to the first network sim card that the phone is activated with, and that will be permanently. The only way to unlock the handset would be to go through the network (T-Mobile I understand) and request they unlock it for you. More than likely, there will be a charge as you are no longer a T-Mobile customer.
If you ever want to purchase a new unlocked iPhone, the only place you can buy one is from Apple directly. Any other place will most likely sell sim free handsets. -

Have you got notifications muted ? Only notifications (including games) get muted, so the iPod/Music and Videos apps, and headphones, still get sound.
Depending on what you've got Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to (mute or rotation lock), then you can mute notifications by the switch on the right hand side of the iPad, or via the taskbar : double-click the home button; slide from the left; and it's the icon far left; press home again to exit the taskbar. Recently while on vacation I tried to use my IPad Mini to watch a movie down loaded from ITunes and could not. Initially I get flashing white lights across the TV monitor I was using so a group of us could watch the movie, Wreck It Ralph. A few minutes later I was informed that the TV was not an acceptable viewing device. Why? How do I avoid this going forward?

And now its saying my ipod is corrupt. None of my stuff was erased from itunes it was only erased from my ipod so why am I not able to just sync everything back onto my ipod? why is it doing this now? I think this is ridiculous that just changing one name would do this much damage.

I got a repair for my itouch and i gotta problem with the sound
Today, I just got a repair for my itouch that had a ******** screen touch that didn't respond. I never got a new one for the repair. It looked "new" but it waa actually something that has been fixed from a crappy one. Great, now it doesn't play a ******* sound without the earphones. What am I supposed to do now? Get a repair AGAIN?

Hello, I have some issues, when Firefox is not minimised. When I watch movie on my BS Player or playing World of Tanks and I have not minimised Firefox (there is a window, no matter it is maximised or just window), there are visible FPS drops, but when I minimise the Firefox window, it works just fine. Also when I connect my laptop to my sound amplifier with 2.1 speakers, I can hear a jamming, hamming and whirling, also works fine, when Firefox is minimised. Is there any way to remove this? Its quite annoying. I tried to disable all addons etc., nothing worked. Thanks.
You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.
*Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"
You need to close and restart Firefox after toggling this setting.

We have an company intranet hosted on a windows platform. Our windows based machines can access the content with no problems. When we enter the same //server name/filename into a browser on our Macs, we get a response of "file:///" ANy idea how to get these browsers to recognize the path as web content?

I was having problems with the software and iTunes, took the iMac to the apple store and they wiped it clean and then helped me restore from my backup. W were able to do most of it but had the pictures left, and it would take to much time, so they sent me home with instructions, I followed the instructions to the letter but got a message saying that the pictures could not be installed because I was not the administrator and I am stuck, can someone out there help me?

i try to disable a onboard graphic on BIOS,but i not find it.
and last i try to update BIOS to v2.4 n' not work too.

As for the plug-in card, there is nothing in the BIOS to make it work 8x or 16x.
Make sure your card is seated correctly, else it will work but at lower number of lanes.
What program is telling you it's 8x?
