Not full month depreciation

Dear SAP Experts,
We have a need to calculate the fixed assets depreciation - not for the full month, but just the last 3 weeks of it.
For example, we post the APC as of 01/07/11. We need to depreciate our fixed assets from 01/08/11 to 01/31/11 only instead of posting the full-month depreciation amounts. The depreciation for January 2011 should be:
monthly depreciation amount/31 days in the month * 24 days (from 01/08/11 to 01/31/11 )
The remaining depreciation periods should be the full amount based on the depreciation key and useful life.
This is a one-time requirement and I was wondering what the easiest and automated way of doing it in FI-AA is.
Please advise.

Thank you for your prompt response.
Our company is going public and we have to post the fair market value of fixed assets to reflect the purchase accounting entries at a date which falls on e.g. 01/07/11. That's why we need to calculate the 3/4 of the monthly depreciation rate.
If we cannot switch from daily to monthly depreciation back and forth, is posting the depreciation for the first week of month back manually the only solution for us? Or is there any better (or more SAP standard) way of doing that?

Hi Friends.
My client requirement is to provide the depreciation for the full month in the year of acquisitiona as well as sale. For example, if an asset is acquired on 10th of a month, the system should calculate depreciation for the full month though the asset is not held during the first 10 days. Similarly at the time of sale also.

2 new period controle rule's TC OAVS
Define Calender Assignments TC OAVH
Maintain Period Control Methods TC AFAMP
You have to assign this to your depreciation key TC AFAMA (perhaps a new depreciation key)
It the depreciation key the the follow options should not be selected:
Dep. to the day

Retirement of asset result doc. does not include current month depreciation

Hi,
While retirement of tangible fixed asset result document does not include current month depreciation. So it makes closing month procedure impossible.
So, what are the configuration have do now to include current month depreciation?

Monthly depreciation for areas that do not post

We have dpreciation areas for tax purposes that do not post to the GL. Is there any way to get SAP to store the monthly depreciation amounts so that we can extract it for other processing?

Use standard report S_ALR_87012936-Dpeeciation Simulation.
Click on All Selections button on the appilication tool bar, then you will be able to see more fields for selection in the selection screen.
Choose Evaluation Period as Month (depends on this selection system will show the output fields for selection in the change layout option after getting output.)
Give your desired depreciation area.
Once you got the output, check whether dep amount is showing for each month or not, if not go to change layout and choose fileds like DEP 01-XXXX, DEP 02-XXXX, and DEP 03-XXXx and so on. (Need to choose 12 fields/ months)
This will resolve your purpose.

Can't see monthly depreciation in a non-posting depr area

Hi Folks,
Is there any report where I can see monthly depreciation based on a non-posting depreciation area?
Althought I found out many reports that show accumulated depreciation, I couldn't find one to see month-to-month depreciation fee.
The S_ALR_87012936 report has 2 problems: 1st - It shows only 5 periods; 2sd - it shows wrong values to my non-posting depreciation area.

S_ALR_87012936 report would be perfect if I could see more than 5 monthes. I don't know, but I'm able to see only from Jan to May in the monthly view. Is there a way to see ahead?
All others reports only show Accumulated Depreciation, not monthly.
If I ask for 31.12.2010, I will take only the Year Depreciation and not December-2010 depreciation.
Any tip?

Calendar apps: 1. That my wife and I can share. 2. That shows some of the text in the full month view. 3. That can have "public" events and "private" events.

I am looking for a calendar app that my wife and I can share on both of our iphones. I am new to this and haven't found an app that will do what I want.
1. I want the full month view to show some of the text of each event: Like Pocket Informant and Monthly Calendar Mocha do (not just a dot).
2. That both of us can post and see each other's events.
3. That each of us can post "private" events that the other person won't see on their phone. Things like, "Wife's surprise party."
4. That sync's both calendars automatically.
I know a lot of people use Fantastical, but I don't think that would give me the text in the full month view.
Is there an app that can do all of the above?

Sharing and syncing is a feature of the calendar database; you can have multiple calendars, and each can be private, shared with specific other iCloud users, or public. If you have a Mac you can set that up in the Calendar app; for either Mac or Windows you can set it up by logging in to iCloud.com using your Apple ID.
The other calendar apps all use the Apple calendar database; they just have different ways of presenting the content, and can also take advantage of "hidden" features of the Apple calendar database (such as adding icons to entries).

I can not run the depreciation for particular asset which was not acqustion

                 I have created asset master in july 2010 when i did purchase that asset, but i did not post the asset aqusistion in f-90 up to january. but on remianing all assets i did run the depreciation job on every month. Now in january , i have openend the posting periods from july to march and post that asset aqusisition f-90 in july psoting period., we are using april to march fiscal year.
                  when i am trying to run depreciation job repeat run in afab in test mode from july to december   it showing the error message that, depreciation already done for that proper periods. But in janauary when i am trying to run in test mode, It showing total depreciation amount from july to january , and it hit to only in january month but not to july to december each months.
Now i want to psot the deprectiation for each month of july onwards to january 2010.
    pelase reply how to do run deprecaiton for that particular asset for each month for july to january

Hi
Repeat run you can do only for the last depreciation period. For the asset which you are tryin to post depreciation from July to Jan, please check the asset value date which you have given while posting the transactions or in the asset master.
If the asset value date is in July, then deprecaition from July - Jan will get posted in the current month depreciation in total. You will not be able to post depreciation individually month wise using AFAB.

Fixed Assets - Calc of monthly depreciation charge after GRIR clearing

Hi all,
For a particular asset in our company - this asset was to be written off in November 2005.
GRIR clearing was done on asset xxx in September and then reversed in the same month.
The net effect on the asset value was zero but this caused SAP to recalculate the depreciation charge from the start of the year. It appears to have ignored the reversal and wants to write back amount x(months Jan to Aug) and charge amount y(chg for Sep). Also for some reason this has appeared in November and not September, the month of posting the GRIR clearing.
The asset in question should have reached the end of it's useful life in November but the re-calculation of depreciation would have resulted in depreciation being charged for a further 7 months in 2006. The manual work around was to change the depreciation key to xxxx to force SAP to calculate the "expected" charge for November. This has worked in this particular instance but is not ideal, running depreciation run again is not the solution to this type of problem.
User wants to know if using the MR11 transaction (GRIR reversal for PO)will always cause SAP to re-calculate depreciation from the start of the year.
Sorry for long post - have tried to give as many details as possible.

Good Evening! A few days ago my IPad air was working perfectly as always. In the evening I went home and when I opened the cover to swith it on I realised it doesn't work. I tried to energize the battery but got no response. I tried to make a hard reset but also it didn't help. I connected it to my PC with ITunes but it didn't see my IPad. I went to IPort office of my city, they looked, and told they will send me a new one because I still have a guarantee (my device was about 6 months). I had used ICloud but It happened so that the backup is not full and I have lost many very important for me photos of my family. ITunes copy wasn't full also. If anybody knows any Apple service in any city of the world please give me advice where to go to recover data from memory of my device. I understand it's my fault, I didnt properly take care of backup copy and also understand that the answer on my quetion is close to 100 percent negative, and such a companies probably don't exist. But will be really grateful for any advice. Thank you!

First of all: Your iPhone "present" was most likely hacked/jailbroken. The update you did bricked it and it is now useless. Apple will not repair this.
Second: The warranty is usually only valid for the country it was purchased in. Check before you buy.
Third: You can set English as default language on the iPhone . iPhone supports a myriad of diffrent languages. If you buy it Poland it doesnt matter.

Double charge full month of Family Plan which only used for 7 days and full month of individual plan

I changed from Family Plan to Individual Plan and I got only refund back $9.99 for one line that stay with Verizon but I got charged double both Family Plan and Individual Plan for full month without any credits for 23 days of unused Family Plan. ($120-discount Family Plan + $39.99-discount Individual Plan) per 1 month (from 06/07 to 07/06).
I am asking the credit of unused 23 days of Family Plan back into my account when I changed from Family plan to Individual plan then I got the answer like this which I do not agree at all.
"As the previous rep stated since the numbers were ported out the bill continued to bill until the end of the current bill cycle. This is the reason why there was no credit issued for the first month in advance. Had the numbers not been ported, and instead disconnected, there would have been a refund issued for any unused portion of the service"
I never saw any clause saying that porting numbers would not get credit issued for any unused portion of the month billed in advance.
I expected refund 23 days credit of the Family plan from 06/06 to 07/06 back to my account since the family plan supposed to be disconnected on 06/07 but because of porting time schedule from other carrier so that all 4 lines completely disconnected the service 1 week later which is on 06/13/2012 and only 1 line(my current number) left as individual plan as it planned originally 06/07.
Family Plan with corporate discount: $120-$16 cisco discount/month------> each day is: $104/30 days= $3.46/day
23 days unused of Family Plan is : $3.46 x 23= $79.58
I still expect missing credits into my account: $79.58-$9.99= $69.59.
At the least if you want to take away the $16 discount for the last month of Family plan, then you still owe me the refund of ($69.59-$16)= $53.59

I am NOT trying to fool anyone. As with the sentence you highlighted, if what I highlighted ONLY pertained to prepaid customers, it would have indicated it in the sentence. Since it did not, it DOES NOT. Postpaid customers are NOT mentioned at all within the section about porting numbers. Are you saying since they are not mentioned that postpaid customers CANNOT port their numbers? Didn't think so. The entire paragraph is about ALL Verizon customers EXCEPT the sentence which specifically singles out prepaid customers. You are responsible for all charges until the end of the billing cycle from the point of porting, not from when you asked to be ported. Therefore you are responsible for the charges for the "Family Plan" until the end of the billing cycle.
Unfortunately, you only left ONE phone on the account when you ported out your numbers. Therefore the single line could NOT have been left on a Family Plan, and was therefore migrated to an Individual Plan. AT MOST, you would be entitled to a prorated refund of the $9.99 access fee FOR THAT ONE LINE, since that line was not canceled due to the porting. However, you should ONLY be responsible for Individual Plan charges from the point your single line was migrated until the end of the billing cycle, NOT for an entire month of service. Of course, your bill would show that the following month was being charged, too, since Verizon charges a month in advance.
While Verizon may refund you more money just to placate you, according to the CUSTOMER AGREEMENT, you are not entitled to it.

I am new to Crystal, so I hope this question makes sense...
I am trying to use a function to select the next full month based on the current date. The 'lastfullmonth' function works for me, but I need to obtain the next full month rather than last month. The 'next30days' function will not work because it does not include a full month. For example, today is November 27, and I need to view all of December. If I use 'next30days,' I will see the end of November and it will not reach to the end of December. Is there a function or formula to view the next full month?

I'm unable to locate on the BT website my Usage History for April. Are we able to look at our usage, if yes where is it lol.
Before Infinity I was using around 40/50GB a month with O2.
My TBB Meter Tells me this:--
5th to 30th April 78GB
May 80GB
So yes my usage have increased a small amount but thats due to me now being able to us and watch live streaming without buffering as before.
