Nothing works on Win 8.1

Since updating to CC 2014, none of the key 2014 applications are working properly. Syncing is greyed out or not working, or reporting "sync failed" on all the apps that are supposed to sync.
Illustrator Welcome screen remains blank with spinner running.
Dreamweaver and Illustrator will not shut down, I need to close in Task Manager. Even then there are processes still running which will not even close in Task Manager. So a reboot is required.
There are other problems too which I can't recall right now, enough to stop me using the new versions until there is a fix.
I have signed out and signed back in to CC. I have tried reinstalling some apps. Still nothing works.
This is my secondary machine, a Win 8.1 (HP Omni 27). Everything is working fine on my main Win 7 computer.
If I can deal with the 2 problems above I would be happy. Any thoughts?

I installed xe 11g on local mashine. All installation parameters are default except http port. It adviced me 8081 and i agreed. (8080 is used by another tool).

After upgrading to 27, firefox will not start. Try every idea online for 4 hr. Nothing worked. Downgraded to 26

I have tried everything i could find online. uninstall and re-install. tried even full uninstall, giving up my profile data (i back it up in chrome).
Nothing worked. the firefox.exe process appeared in Task Manager for 3 second and disappeared.
Finally i downgrade to FF26 - an unofficial version from the web and not of my locale.
You should provide an option to download older versions.
v27 is too faulty. Sorry.

CC desktop app not working on Win 8.1

Creative cloud desktop app not working in win 8.1. The window is blank, only the header is visible. I've tried reinstall and shut down ESET firewall, but nothing is working. I use the same plan in work on win 7 and it's ok. Please help, maybe some Win 8.1 update? An by the way, when I update my CC app, everything on my desktop disappear and I must reboot system to fix it, this is not normal as well...

Can't get wireless keybord to work with Win XP

I've installed Win XP SP2 on my iMac via Boot Camp and am having problems getting the Apple Wireless keyboard to connect. I did get the wireless mighty mouse to work by entering a passkey of "0000". For the keyboard, I've tried entering an 8 digit key and 16 digit key and also let Windows pick a key for me but nothing works. Initially the status would show that the keyboard is connected but then after a few seconds it will say there is no passkey or something to that effect, and the connection would then be lost.
Does anyone have any ideas how to get this to work?

Had problems with wireless keyboard, but have just got it working a second time. Might be worth trying.
1. You need a working mouse (either a USB, or the mighty mouse.)
2. I did try the method as described in the bootcamp guide, but I don't have a USB keyboard so got the computer to choose the passkey. The keyboard would initially connect, then lose the passkey.
Then I tried this
1. Run the same add bluetooth device program. Make sure it's in discovery mode (check the tabs).
2. Click add device and wait for keyboard to appear.
3. DON'T then click next. Instead right click the keyboard icon, click properties, one of the tabs has an option to download drivers. Tick this and click apply.
4. I was advised to reset, which I haven't, and haven't closed the bluetooth install program. The keyboard is now working.
I can only think it's something to do with working around the need for a paaskey, which seems to have caused some problems. Please let me know how you find this.

IPOD doesn't work on WIN XP

Ipod shuffle stinks, spent 2 days trying to fix and nothing works! This is why I am still going to stick with PCs and not MACS!

Did you try reinstalling itunes and resetting the shuffle? If the shuffle is still having problems stop by and Apple store and they can help you out.

Does Premiere Elements 4 works on Win XP Home SP3?

I have a question to Premiere Elements 4 on Win XP Home, SP3.
I installed Premiere Elements 4, but it does not run. If I start PE4 the purple startup screen be displayed: Application will initialized, loading compiler,.. the startup screen disappears, that's it! No program will appear.
My native language is german, so I called the german support line. They told me that Premiere Elements 4 does not work on Win XP Home SP3 (?).
I can't believe, is there no way to to run Premiere Elements 4 on Win XP Home SP3???
If there's a possibility, please tell me what I have to do.
ps: I have Apple QuickTime and MS DirectX 9 installed. My PC is an Sony PCV-RS702 Desktop with 4GB Ram.

OF COURSE Premiere Elements works on XP SP3! That's the operating system it was designed on!
The german Adobe support says NO, PE4 does not work with SP3. It's fine to read that it does.
1) Try uninstalling and reinstalling Premiere Elements. Occasionally
the installation goes wrong, and uninstalling and reinstalling fixes it.
I do already before I write this thread, I installed it three times. I'm Microsoft Certified Professional, so I hope I do nothing wrong with the installation.
2) Ensure that you have enough free, defragmented hard drive space.

to run, assuming you've got at least 30 gigaybtes free and you keep the

I have 35 GB free space after installation. But for the small jobs I do it's normally no problem (!?). My hard drive is defragmented.

Some one please help me. I have tried all day to download adobe flash 10.3 Nothing works.

I go through all of the required steps and get a message: Adobe Flash 10.3 successfully downloaded. You are now running AF 10.3. However I still can not view Youtube or any other internet clips. I cannot use Flash Player either. It appears to install correctly, but every site that uses flash player, keeps asking to re-install it. It is listed under manage add-ons v. 10.3.183.7 and is enabled. I am using a 32bit IE and 64 bit Win 7. I have downloaded the uninstaller and used it 10+ times, I tried other 3rd party installers/uninstallers and nada. I have installed this program 100+ times over the last few months. Its been extremeley frustrating, so I called Adobe callback support today 3 times only to have it disconnect on me when an agent finally appeared - go figure!
ActiveX filtering is enabled (i toggled this several times over the last few months)
I have tried several security levels all recommended by adobe sites.

I thought something might have gotten corrupt in my registry, but on my 2nd computer, after a forced Adobe patch to 10.3 also, it also now doesn't work.
Seems like so many people are having problems with this version using Win 7 and there is so little information on how to correct the problems and the hints on the Adobe sites don't offer much in help.
I'm pretty close to just accepting that the flash player simply is broken and nothing I've done.

Bluetooth Mighty Mouse and Keyboard not working in Win XP!

I simply cannot get my Bluetooth Mighty Mouse and Keyboard to work in Win XP via Bootcamp! The bluetooth icon appears in the tray and even shows that they are connected but they do nothing at all. One thing to note is that they show up as connected but with no password. Could this be the problem? If I reconnected the two with new passcodes for XP, would they still work when I reboot in OSX?

Changed from Outlook Express to Thunderbird on Win XP computer. Followed Tiscali set up info. Tiscali confirm the settings are correct but nothing works.

I followed the Tiscali set up info to the letter. I could not send any messages. I always got the same error message. I then read the Thunderbird technical article re these error messages and found that I needed to complete the "user name" section on the Accounts settings bit, something that Tiscali did not mention at all. Doh!. Problem solved within 30 secs!

My live! platinum doesn't work on win

My sound blaster li've! II platinum doesn't work on win xp! I have tried to download drivers and install them but it's still impossible to listen to my external midi keyboard. Creative Playcenter, recorder, launcher and surround mixer are impossible to initialize....a message tell me that there's an error or that it's impossible to find drivers. I've tried to re-install everything and then install new drivers for xp but...nothing!!!
How can I solve these problems? I want again complete funcionality of my audio card!

Cannot send messages. Tried all your suggestions, nothing works. Running Windows Vista, problem began after update of Thunderbird on Jan 1

Tried disabling antivirus. Reloaded Thunderbird, version 31.3.0. Neither worked.
Problem began after latest Thunderbird update on January 1, 2015. I am able to send email from my iphone and using webmail. But not from my computer using Thunderbird.

I am on Win 7 64 bit. iTunes and one other program I use could not make a secure connection although I was able to securely connect to online banking, etc. I tried ten different settings I read about in various posts under "Secure Connection" including the links about in your post. Nothing worked.
What finally worked for me was going into Control Panel, then selecting Internet Properties, then going to the Advanced tab, and then scrolling down to the Security section and unchecking "Check for server certificate revocation*" Note that I undid trusted sites (e.g. no trusted sites needed) and undid all the special Norton IS 2009 firewall settings and everything still worked. This seemed to all start with the updates starting with iTunes rev 9 but I can't be sure as I recently upgraded to Win 7 Premium Home from Vista Ultimate.
Hope it works for you. I will post this in a few other discussions on the same as I have not seen anything before that worked in my case.

Cannot get Sound to work in Wine

I am having a problem with my otherwise perfectly well running Arch installation.
Whatever I try, I seem unable to get the sound to work in wine. There is sound in games
and when I click "test sound" in the audio tab in winecfg, but it is crackled and seems to play much to fast.
Also, when clicking "test sound" in the audio tab in winecfg, the following error message appears:

My winearch is set to 32 bit (but the same problem occurs if set to 64 bit) and I use pulseaudio
as the sound server. The sound in all native applications works just fine. Also, I have pulseaudio-alsa
installed and in winecfg, winealsa is correctly listed as sound driver.
I already tried several sloutions (and checked if I have the right libraries and lib32- installed), like:
- setting tsched=0 (or to 1, both did change nothing) in /etc/pulse/default.pa
- set default-sample-rate=48000 or default-fragment-size-msec=5 in /etc/pulse/deamon.conf
These were solutions which helped other users, but sadly did not fix my problem.
Can you think of anything else I could try?

Thank you for your comments, but it was my fault completely...
The default-fragment-size-msec=5 did work in the end, I just did not delete the ";" at the beginning of the line.
What a stupid mistake...
Well, for other people as a hint: It you change something in /etc/pulse/deamon.conf, always remove die semicolon at the beginning of the line.

Since that password is tied to his Apple ID, you will need to contact Apple; as far as I know, it will be a somewhat lengthy procedure and you will need to furnish necessary paperwork (including a death certificate as far as I know). Best to either stop at an Apple store or call them to find out exactly what it is you need to do.
