Notification Mailer Error

Hi
We are upgrading our system to linux. Problem we are getting is whenever we clone our system, notification mailer is giving error. When I submit the timesheet, I am getting the following error in the mail
Error
Your session is no longer valid or your logon information could not be reestablished from your session.
Any faced a similar issue. Do i need to do something extra at the time of cloning for notification mailer

I have gone through all the finishing tasks of the cloning and updated all the workflow related tables and restarted services but somehow a dynamic xml is not generated. That is the reason why we get the error. Mailer, CM are all fine. The error is still showing up in the notifications sent.

Workflow Notification mailer Error - Urgent !!!

Hi Guys
i am trying to configure Wrkflow Mailer Account on R12.1 . But the validation fails for Imap account check.
The client got : Imap : 192.168.1.2: 993 (SSL) SMTP is 192.168.1.2. Mails are getting sent to the user box ,bit inbound processing is failing as its not accepting the Imap account.
ALready Oracle TAR is on going ,but so far no luck from Oracle side too.
The Imap account is getting connect when i use Linux mail client.
I got the SSL certificate for the mail exchange server , what i can go for?

Pl post the contents of the workflow mailer log. Pl also run the Diagnostics test outlines in MOS Doc 748421.1 (Oracle Workflow ATG Support: R12 Java Mailer Setup Diagnostic Test)

Oracle workflow notification mailer configuration error

hi,
i am trying to setup oracle wf notification mailer and trying to put a test email address so that all the emails go to that email address.
but getting following message,
FAILURE: javax.mail.SendFailedException: Sending failed; nested exception is: class javax.mail.MessagingException: 530 5.7.0 Must issue a STARTTLS command first. p5sm5221427pbd.12
my env:
Oracle R12 on Oracle Linux 5.5
smtp server: smtp.gmail.com
imap server: imap.gmail.com
outgoing and incoming: SSL enabled
my sendmail in Oracle linux 5.5 works fine and using that i am able to sent email address to outside world.
please advice on the above error that i am getting in notificaiton mailer configuration screen.

Error in notification mail in po release

Hi all,
         i encounter a problem in notification mail activity. actually my wflow gets trigerred wen a po is created. It has four levels of approval, in the activity i have given the notification agent as the po creator the wen the first approver releases the po and saves the workitem status is set to be inprocess itself it doesnt get the status as completed.but the po reaches the second approvers inbox and he also effects the release but there also the workitem status is set to inprocess .
            like wise it happens with the remaining users but the document is released but the notification is not sent to the po creator.
           When i view the technical details of that workitem there is an error stating
Terminating event recieved : notification of completion cannot be generated
problems occures during generation of mail
if_swf_utl_mail~send   error 9 when calling service so_object_send
please do help me with this error.

Please check whether there is any terminating event that is triggered inside the Workflow. U can check through wflow Log. You can also check whether the User Id to whom you are sending the mail if it is SAP User Id and you are using Container element in agent determination to be always Concatenated with US for SAP User Id.

WHY THIS ERROR APPEARING?
WHAT IS THE USE OF IMAP? CAN THE NOTIFICATION MAILER BE CONFIGURED ONLY BY SMTP SETTINGS?

When ever a leave request is created and submitted ,an e-mail notification is sent to the
preparer and approver, When the mail notification is actioned by the approver like Approving the leave request >or rejecting That means a outbound process is what as name suggest whenever any notification is send to the user from the application and inbound is the reply/action which is received back in the application.
What will happen if I don't set the IMAP for inbound processing?You simply won't get the replies/action summary from the users.

Error in Notification Mailer Workflow

I am having a strange situation in Oracle EBS Release 12.0.6 on Windows 2003 server. I think it may have started after applying the 12.0.6 patchset but I am not certain. The issue is with the workflow is not starting up anymore. Looking at log files in the %APPLLOG% directory I have this in the FNDCPG file :

I have a similar output for the outbound as well....so I don't think I have any issues with the outbound and inbound server itself....but with these configurations my notification mailer is down and the above is the log...
Could anyone shed light on why I would be getting ORA-01403: no data found in the FND_CP_GSM_IPC not sure what that does.....I have gone through the tests of the inbound and outbound java mailers on metalink and they are all working fine....any help would be appreciated.

This seems to be a bug - pl see MOS Doc 433046.1 (After Applying Patches 3438354 an 4017300, Workflow Services are not Starting) for a similar issue in 11i. You might have to open an SR and have Sipport troubleshoot.

Notification mailer is not able to send mails to Outside domain i.e gmail

We are in 12.1.3 EBS application with 11.1.0.7 DB on Aix 64 bit platform:
resently we configured notification mailer with out any issues
But the issue is notifications are delivered to with in the domain itself but not to outside the domain i.e gmail and yahoo
SMTP server host name is owa.craftsmanautomation.com the same we used to configure the Notification mailer
Even we verified from os level using telnet utility as follows:

In the above command in place of FROM and TO mail-id's if we use any personal mail-id's getting error message as "Unable to Relay".Please suggest is there any changes we need to done at SMTP server Level or OS level or Application Level.

Need Help in configuring workflow Notification Mailer with IMAP

Hi,
i've configured the notification mailer successfully with SMTP and it's working fine , users can receive mail notifications but the INBOUND processing doesn't work.
i've created a new mail account on the IMAP server (Outlook 2007), but when configure the Notification mailer from OAM it gives me the following error:
Unable to connect to the mail account. Check the host, user name and password.
i tried many documents from the web but till know i can't have a solution for this issue.
EBS version : 11.5.10.2
Please note that i don't have access to MetaLink.
please help if you have any suggestions.

How to configure of INBOUND Server

As you have given the INBOUND_SERVER value as 'imap.gmail.com' you should specify the GMail user name and password for Inbound account say(eg:abc) and password field.
The replyToAddress and TestAddress should not be same. You need to provide the GMail email address here foe eg: [email protected]
The server 'imap.gmail.com' is SSL enabled you need to instal the corresponding certificate in the instance concurrent and web tier nodes.

How to send notification mail by IDM 7.1?

HI,
I configured the idm 7.1 and want to send notification mail to user when a new user is created.
But I can not get email from IDM. I think the SMTP server is right and I can telnet to SMTP server and send mails.
How to test the IDM configuration is right ? or how to test send mail notification by an easy way ?

When I run the "ALL USERS" report, I select the 'Email Report' and filled the mail address. But after running the report , I can't receive email and no error messages displayed.
Could you tell me how to do I can debug or trace the messages if the IDM sent or not sent mail , if it connects to mail server ?

Hi All,
Notification mailer getting down frequently.
We have checked the log file and got the below errors:
1) Maximum number of errors (null) have been reached for this Service Component -> oracle.apps.fnd.cp.gsc.ProcessorException: Unable to connect to mail store)
2) Maximum number of errors (10) have been reached for this Service Component -> oracle.apps.fnd.cp.gsc.ProcessorException: Unable to connect to mail store
Please help us to resolve the issue.

Please go through the Note: 469822.1 - Oracle Workflow Release 12 Diagnostics and run the tests.

Wrong link in notification mail

Hi,
The link provided in our approval notification mails are wrong. For example:

As you can see the "bbpstart" is in excess and should be removed. Actually when we manually remove this part from the URL and retry to connect we are able to see the actual page.
What might be the reason for this problem?

I have no idea why this error is there, but you can rectify it in the report RSWUWFMLEC SRM 4.0 or RBBP_NOTIFICATION_OFFAPP SRM 5.0.
change the variant of this report or create a new variant and then schedule it.
Try to give the desired URL in DEF_URL1.
