Now i can't delete mail

So now, i click the trash icon in mail to delete a message, it goes for about 5 seconds then a message pops up saying its unable to delete email.
I've tried and tried time and again and it just stays in my inbox.
I've absolutely had it to be honest with OS Lion, its nothing but problems.

If you are using Safari to access iCloud.com...
Go to the Safari menu bar click Safari > Empty Cache
Then back to the menu bar again, click Safari > Reset Safari
Select the top 5 buttons, click Reset.
Restart your Mac, go to iCloud.com. Try Mail.

  • I was trying to delete a large number of e-mails from Stamp. I did something and now I can't delete any of my e-mails. What do I do to fix this.

I tried to delete a large # of e-mail. I did something that caused the computer to hum for a few minutes. All of the e-mails came back and now I can't delete any of my old e-mails.  What did I do and how do I fix it?

The clipboard is a place in memory where text that has been copied from is temporarily stored ready to be pasted elsewhere.
The clipboard cannot be viewed, and is essentially invisible to the user. Copied text will stay on the clipboard until it is replaced by the next piece of copied text.
Probably what happened is you copied your credit card number from somewhere, either intentionally or accidentally (perhaps you made a purchase on your iPad using this card recently), and the clipboard stored the number. Then, whilst you were using Facebook you (accidentally) pasted this credit card number from the clipboard into your Facebook message.
That's the only likely reason I can think of. Hope I explained it well enough!

  • Can I delete Mail and then reinstall?

Am a new user with an iPad 2 and with Mail did a sync to bring in my Outlook contacts. Somehow it found some old contact folders too and now have a totally cluttered contacts list!
Can I delete Mail and download it and start again?
    Thanks

You cannot delete the application, but you can delete the account.
In Settings, just select the account with the messed up contact list and choose to delete all the info from the iPad 2.
Then, find the mistakes and extra contacts in Outlook, take care of them, and re-sync your iPad.

  • I took Lion off my Macbook Pro and put Snow Leopard back on and now I can't access Mail or iPhoto. How do I get Mail and iPhoto to work with the Snow Leopard I just put back on?

Hi. I was having slowness problems with my Macbook Pro and thought I would re-install Lion but put Snow Leopard back on by mistake. I bought the computer used with Lion on it and don't have access to the USB drive or a username/password to reinstall Lion. Now I can't access Mail or iPhoto since I put Snow Leopard on.
Is there a way to get my Mail and iPhoto working again with Snow Leopard or do I have to "re-upgrade" to Lion?
    Thanks!
    Steve

You can't. When you converted those libraries to Lion's format, you lost the ability to go backwards. Unless you saved a bootable backup./clone or Time Machine backup of your previous SL installation, you're up the proverbial creek w/o a paddle.

Delete your mail account/s and re-add them.
This is what worked for me but I've read about other solutions that have worked for some people as well:

iCloud only give so much space for free storage, then if you exceed the limit of 5gb you have to pay for additional storage.

  • C3-01 can´t delete mails with attachment

    Hi,
since one week I have the C3 touch & type. It`s a very nice mobile phone. But I have a problem: I can not delete mails with attachment in the mail programm. Mails without attachment are no problem. I have an mailaccount from "1und1" (Germany). Has anybody an idea, how I can solve this?
    Thanks alot.
    pastores

The only way I've been able to delete them is to delete the email account from the phone, then add the account, again.
    Pretty painful solution.

  • Transfered photos, now I can't delete them.

So I've uploaded some pictures on my old computer and then, I've transfered my iTunes library to my new computer. But when I synced, there was still a copy of the same photo library from  my old computer and a new one with the same pictures in it. Now I can't delete them and I can't unsync them because I don't have those pictures on my new computer. What should I do, I don't want to reset my iPod because I have lots of apps, pics and stuff so is there any other way to fix this problem?

Try a paid computer program like TouchCopy or PhoneView to copy them to your computer. I do not know if the free programs like iFunBox will work for synced photos.
Once on your computer then do this:
Syncing to a "New" Computer or replacing a "crashed" Hard Drive: Apple Support Communities

  • I loaded photos to my new iPad2 using iCloud. The photos went in all jumbled up. Now I can't delete them or delete the albums. How can I delete?

I loaded photos to my new iPad2 using iCloud. The photos went in all jumbled up. Now I can't delete them or delete the albums. How can I delete?

Well, typically one of the fixes that I would suggest is to try to delete the waiting icons. WIFi in a public places like McDonalds, Starbucks, B&N, etc. is not the greatest and I would avoid those places for downloading and updating apps. But I do realize that not everybody has access to Wifi in their homes.
These are all things that have worked at one time or another for other users. Hopefull one of them will work for you. Just ignore whatever does not apply or anything that you have already tried.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Sign in and then try to update again. Tap one waiting icon only if necessary to start the download stream.
You can also try deleting the waiting icons - tap and hold down on an icon until it wiggles - the tap the X on the icon to delete it. Then try to download again.
You can try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your app preferences and device settings again.
If all else fails, download the updates or the apps in iTunes on your computer and then sync the content to your iPad.

I've uploaded my pics to my PC but now I can't delete them from the iPad, PLEASE HELP the little trash can does NOT appear

That's because you can't delete it directly from the phone.
Since you synced not imported those pictures to your iphone using iTunes, you will need to do the opposite and unsync the pictures, in order to remove it from your phone.
