Hi Vj,
The error logs are quite generic and do not seem to help much. If you are on windows, check the event viewer if there are any messages. You may want to check the Admin server's ".out" file too other than ".log" file.
Hope this helps.
Thank you,

  • WLI V2.1 install error: WebLogic Server 6.1 SP1 is not installed.

    Hi,
    FYI
I installed WLS 6.1 and then Service Pack 1 (separately).
I then installed WLI V2.1 and got the error.
WebLogic Server 6.1 SP1 is not installed.
    This is on Windows NT.
The problem was due to the registry.xml file being empty of content. Thus the
install did not know where the WLS 6.1 SP1 was. The Service Pack 1 for WLS 6.1
    emptied this file, incorrectly.
I think if you download and install WLS 6.1 Service Pack 1 in one install and
not separately the emptying of the registry.xml does not occur.
To get around the problem, I got BEa Support to send me a registry.xml and I edited
it to be my own machine and BEA_HOME directory. The WLI V2.1 install then worked.(Not
the safest solution but it worked!)

  • Install error message after logging off OSX

When logging out of Mavericks, I get an error message on the screen as it goes to black that asks me do I want to abort the installation or continue with the installation. It closes out to the login screen after pressing either button you press, one says "abort" the other states " "continue". This started a few months ago and I can't seem to remember if there was an install issue on an update to an app or if it was something else because you only get the error message when you log out of the user account or shut down the computer. I updated to 10.10.1 and it still appears exactly as with Mavericks OS.
I don't have time to take a screen shot of the message in a yellow box as it disappears quickly, but it reminds me at the log in window in background via a female voice that the MAC needs my attention.
Cant get rid of message, any help appreciated.

  • Photoshop CS5 install error/App Manager- log attached

    Hello,
I've been trying to use the Adobe Application Manager Enterprise Edition to create a Photoshop CS5 installer with the serial key and updates already packaged. I've done other packages in the Creative Suite fine (Dreamweaver and Flash Professional), but the Photoshop installer is quitting out and the errorlog isn't spitting out anything I find useful as far as debugging. However, someone might be able to give me some insight.
The log can be found here
There are two there, I believe. Both exit with the same error.
    - 1 fatal error(s), 0 error(s), 1 warning(s)
WARNING: The payload: Adobe Photoshop  CS5 Core  {7DFEBBA4-81E1-425B-BBAA-06E9E5BBD97E} requires a UI parent  with following specification:
            Family: Photoshop
            ProductName: Adobe Photoshop CS5 Core_x64
This parent relationship is not satisfied, because this payload is not present in this session.
FATAL ERROR: Cannot mix install/repair actions with remove actions in a deployment file.
Please search the above error/warning string(s) to find when the error occurred.
It mentions x64, but I kept checked the box that makes the installer 32-bit rather than the 64 bit version.
And yes the machine is 32bit, running XP, but the installer will also need to be compatible with Windows 7 as well.
Any insight would be appreciated. If we can get these pre-serialed and updated installers worker it would save us a valuable amount of time with machine deployments.

I searched for the GUID from what appears to be the key message: "OS Requirements not met for {667C8B6C-3EAF-4646-A8EC-D85CCC4D3D84}"
I found a lot of people reporting that one.  Several claimed to have gotten through it after working through this page:
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/829/cpsid_82942.html
At least one person said that creating another user account on the computer cleared up the problem, and others have said that either running the installer as administrator or temporarily turning UAC all the way down have helped.
    Good luck.

  • Setup closed with exit code: 0x84C40013 - Silent Install error - SQL Server 2012 express management studio SP1

I am trying to create a silent installation package for SQL Server 2012 Express Management Studio SP1. (both x86 & x64)
Prior to installation I have performed the following :
    1. Turned ON the Windows feature 'Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5.1' (I had read somewhere on the internet that this is required prior to installation)
    2. Installed Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0
I am using the following command line to perform an unattended install :
    <EXENAME> /Q /IACCEPTSQLSERVERLICENSETERMS /ACTION=install /FEATURES=Tools
    However, the installation fails abruptly.
The application installs successfully with the following command line :
    <EXENAME> /IACCEPTSQLSERVERLICENSETERMS /ACTION=install /FEATURES=Tools
The error occurs only while attempting to install the application with the /Q switch appended.
    Please help.

    Hello Fanny,
Thanks for providing the link to the SQL Server 2012 unattended install guide.
However, I must highlight that I was running the setup.exe with "Run As a Administrator" option and still facing the issue.
Anyways, I found out the root cause and I must say that it was a rather silly one.
As I had stated previously, the following command line was causing the issue :
    <EXENAME>
    /Q /IACCEPTSQLSERVERLICENSETERMS /ACTION=install /FEATURES=Tools
I simply changed it to the following and it worked....
    <EXENAME>
    /QUIET /IACCEPTSQLSERVERLICENSETERMS /ACTION=INSTALL /FEATURES=TOOLS
It so seems that everything must be in CAPITALS for this to work.

    Hi Karen,
This error usually occurs if the password entered in the Enterprise Manager > Credentials did not match that of contained in OID(Oracle internet Directory). Can you check if you have followed the steps listed in section 3.2.1.3 in 11g security guide,

  • Upgrade to 11.1.1.7.1 from 6.8 on a Simple Install

    Hi All,
    This is my configuration
Host Machine = Windows Server 2008 64 Bit
OBIEE = OBIEE 11.1.1.6.8 - SIMPLE INSTALL ONLY
We have a simple install of OBIEE, so there is no managed server and no clustering. We want to upgrade to 11.1.1.7.1. I read it from ritttman's blog that "in place" upgrade on simple install in not possible? If somebody has done it by manually doing some changes, can you please share the link with me? Also, if it is possible this way, is it worth doing it considering all the manual changes / errors we face while doing. Is it recommended?
Also, If I go about doing a fresh installation of OBIEE 7.1 on the same host machine (in a separate middleware home folder) which already have weblogic running and OBIEE version 6.8  running, will that work? Can I install 7.1 on the same physical machine which already have 6.8 runining with simple install?
I'll really appreciate any help/pointers on this, Please let me know.
    Thanks,
    Ronny

    Hi Ronny,
If I go about doing a fresh installation of OBIEE 7.1 on the same host machine (in a separate middleware home folder) which already have weblogic running and OBIEE version 6.8  running, will that work?
11.1.1.7.1 recommends weblogic 10.3.6 where as 11.1.1.6.8 is on 10.3.5

  • Does 11.1.1.6 OBIEE simple install work properly on Windows 7 64 bit OS?

Can anyone confirm if the simple install for 11.1.1.6 simple install works normally on Windows 7 64 bit OS? I have run into a slew of issues including:
    1. hanging on the Create Domain. Stays at 0% for 2 hours and then fails
    2. Pre requisite checks do not work in a stable way (sometimes they fail and need to be ignored and other times they succeed)
I removed all Oracle software and tried a completely clean install (DB, RCU, OBIEE, etc)..I have my loopback adapter set and also have JDK.
Do we need to manually do the WLS + Software only to get this to work or does the Simple install actually work on Win 7 64 bit??
    Thanks.

According to the certification matrix, it should work: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/bi-enterprise-edition/bi-11gr1certmatrix-166168.html
Check row 72/73 in Current System Certification. Also, what do the logs say about the errors you are facing?

  • OBIEE 11.1.1.7 Simple Install stuck at 0% Creating Domain step

    Hello All,
I am trying to install OBIEE 11.1.1.7 on 64 but Windows7 Enterprise SP1 machine. I installed the Loopback adapter, added entry in host file for static IP and computer name, Installed latest Java in C drive at C:\Java
Installed 11g DB, ran RCU and it went though fine and then I started the OBIEE installer. It does not though any error but keeps waiting at step 13 of 15 at very first step, Creating Domain.
I don't understand where is the issue? Can someone help please?
Also it spends lot of time at Copying files step, approximately 45-50 minutes.

I'm having exactly the same problem. I've done several of these installs...and each time forget this one silly requirement.  Go to the environment variables TEMP and TMP and be sure there are no spaces in the path.  (I just set them to c:\TMP).  I would think by now Oracle would be able to support installs on Windows, but this problem seems to continue to plague these installs.

  • Starting obiee weblogic services in linux after simple installation

with simple installation, will weblogic server will get installed?
because i am not able to open the weblogic EM page, now do i have to manually start the weblogic services in linux, if so. Can anyone illustrate the steps.
    Thanks,

    Please help.
    Thanks

Make sure all the BI services are up and running before deploying the RPD in the Enterprise manager. You can check to see if all the services are running by going to the system maintainance tab in Enterprise manager under Business Intelligence Domain. After making sure all the services are up and running, try to upload the RPD again, and make sure the RPD is not corrupted.
