OBIEE 11g Business Intelligence node not appearing in EM

I am facing problem in OBIEE (11.1.1.7) under EM where the Business Intellgence node is missing. I can see only 3 nodes under Farm_bifoundation_domain
- Application Deployments
- Weblogic Domain
- Metadata Repositories

I'm sorry but the correct answer cannot be simply "don't do that". The catalog shared folders should definitely be available in BI Publisher. They were in version 10, and they should be in version 11.
In my installation, the shared folders were available until I integrated Fusion Piddleware security with Active Directory. With the proper roles set up, my AD user can see the correct folders within the shared folders of the catalog, but only through BI Analytics. When I try to view the exact same folder in BI Publisher, it issues this error to the logs:

This fragile Oracle system has clearly lost track of the user who is logged in. Evidence of this is also in the log, immediately upon logging in as my user:

Clearly it knows my username, because it had some problem giving *<my_user_name>* access to that report in the Month End folder.
Why can't I see the same folder in the Shared Folders through BI Publisher as I can see through BI Analytics? Hmmm?

Hi Guys,
I uninstalled OBIEE 10.1.3.4.1 and OBIA 7.9.6.1 and after that i did disk cleanup from Start->Accessories->System Tools-> Disk Cleanup.
And after that when i tried to Install OBIEE 10.1.3.4.1 i got the following error.
Oracle Business Intelligence is not supported on this Windows version. Oracle Business Intelligence is only supported on Windows XP x86, Windows 2003 x86, Windows 2003 AMD64, Windows 2003 EM64T, Windows Vista x86, Windows Vista AMD64, Windows Vista EM64T, and Windows 2000 x86.
But my machine is Windows XP x86 and I have installed OBIEE. I was surprised when i saw this error.
In Run-> CMD when I type Systeminfo i get the following error.
Loading Network Card Information...
ERROR: Provider Load Failure.
I would appreciate if any one of you can let me know what could be the problem.

I belive your problem is with Windows not with BI, BI just can't get windows version,
If you are on right version of windows go to MSDN and search for your error and how to fix it

With customer and vendor items, why can you not enter a business area?
Answer:
Open items are assigned to business areas depending on the expense and
revenue items of the invoice.
Because of this dependency, open items can be assigned to several
business areas. Thus the assignment is no longer unique. There is a
function available in the balance sheet adjustment that enables a
subsequent assignment.
With a unique dependency, the business area is copied into the open
items not assigned to a business area during the posting of the
document.
Also consider SAP Note 41294 in this context.

It will not be in core solution. As far as I know you need Aerospace & Defence solution (DIMP) for this functionality.

Business Intelligence Screen not coming up in EM in OBIEE 11g

Hi Gurus,
1.) I am stuck in the Enterprise Manager where I click on the Business Intelligence --> coreapplication and nothing comes up for long time, I really don't know what are the reasons the BI screen does not come in the Enterprise Manager, I need to configure the Scheduler and Main desperately.
It will be of immense help if somebody helps me to identify the problem.
2.) Also the Scheduler tables were not installed during RCU installation, how can I install the 5 tables needs for scheduling jobs on OBIEE 11g Linux env.

OBIEE 11g BI Admin tool not working on Windows 7 64bit - Any alternative???

Hi Experts,
I installed OBIEE 11G on Win 7 64 bit after a long struggle it went well but the admin tool is not starting..........After a search in the forum i came to know that 64 bit os can run obiee client tools. is there any work around for this? I don't want to move to 32 bit os again after taking this much struggle in installation.............can any one suggest me an alternative to work with admin tool. Using VMware 32 bit windows is an option but I don't want to go with it.

Business Intelligence Template not available

Hi,
I just upgraded a SP site from 2010 to 2013. And have turned on performance point services etc at both the site collection and site level. However, When I try to create a Business Intelligence subsite, that template is not available for me to select. Any
ideas of what I can do to fix this issue?

Business Intelligence folder not able to see,

Hi All,
I have installed the Enterprise Portal 7.0. only on server. I am trying the intergation of the BI system in portal. I am not able to see the "Business Intelligence" folder under Portal Content>Portal Content(brower)>Content Provided by SAP>platform_add_ons>
I have not installed the BI system with portal. I have installed JAVA BI system with ABAP BI (I want to integrate the BI in portal which is installed on different host). Please help me to resolve this issue.

Hi, could anybody give me any ideas on this?
I installed 11g on my machine in a Windows 7 environment but am unable to start the BI Administrator.
I do "start Bi services" and get two command windows, one says server started in RUNNING mode, the other says server started in ADMIN mode
when I click on BI Administration I get an error window that says Oracle BI Administration tool has stopped working
All help is appreciated.

Business rules do not appear in Planning

Hi,
I've created 4 business rules, and assigned myself with Modify privileges, and "Launch and validate" privileges.
Outline has been assigned and the rules validate fine as well.
When login to planning and view the business rules under that plan type, it does not show the rules.
Can anyone help with understanding what this prolem is related to?

I assume that you assigned the business rule to the application location? If not, go into the business rule edit mode and check the Location tab. Make sure the application location is added. If it does not seamlessly appear in Planning, then log out then back into the Planning application for the rules to synch with Planning.

Application Data Publication node not appearing in Jdeveloper 11.1.1.4.0

I am using Jdeveloper 11.1.1.4.0. In Jdeveloper Help->Check for Updates, I uploaded ADF Mobile Client Version 11.1.1.4.38.59.46 (adfmc_bundle.zip).

Everything seems to work fine till Step 8 of the tutorial . But in Step 9 for ADF Mobile Client for Blackberry Deployment Profile Properties I am not getting the Application Data Publication node.Thus I am not being able to add the Database Connection for the Mobile Server and the Mobile Server Login Credentials for Synchronization.
Why is it that I am not getting the above mentioned node??

Custom node not appearing in hbox

I can insert this custom node into an hbox (I scanned the hbox and verified their existence), but the contents of the frame from the fxz file do not show up.
My objective:
-I have a series of fxz files (frames) that I wish to put into an hbox
-Each frame, when clicked on, will animate, when off screen, the animation will be toggled off (i.e. myCustomNode.action.play();)
-If I simply insert the contents of an fxz file (which I can) I don't see a universal way to turn animations on/off as I don't want frames eating up cpu cycles if they are off the viewing area

-It turns out that invoking the .configureFrame() method as how I did above was the problem. Instead, I invoked it within the node class itself. As soon as the custom node receives a frame number (i.e. which file to point to) it fetches the FXZ content.

OBIEE 11G prompt values are not applying

Hi There,
I am using OBIEE11g, I have a dashboard which consist of a prompt.
In prompt I have filter condition on Start date and End date with default values, when I run the dashboard it gives me some ODBC error, it doesn't applly the default values.
But when I click apply button on the prompt, it gets executed for the default values.
What should I do?

Did BEx query changed/modifications done??
Does the prompt variable condition is changed @BEx level ??
For all, what you did changes @BEx, will not automatically update the Universe.
To do the same job follow the suggested.
1. Open Universe
2. View == refresh Structure
3. Now you can see Updated things and deleted objects (######)
4. Say OK
5. Save Universe
6. Export it.
Now Open reports and see the LOV's showing up...

Business Event Does Not Appear in ESS Portal

Hi People,
I would like to ask for assistance on this problem:
A user created a business event in the SAP system. But she canu2019t make a booking in this course through the ESS portal because the course canu2019t be found upon searching it. She always got this error message: u201Crestrictions, or use a different search termu201D. We already provided her a number of workaround solutions like using different search terms, changing the field period to all, etc. but still she canu2019t see this course in the portal to make a booking.
Can you help me on this?

Set the property "Add to Favourites" to Yes
Portal Content -> Content provided by SAP -> End user Content -> Standard Portal User -> Default Framework page ---> Edit Object
Open the Page Title Bar -> Search for the property -> Show 'Add to Browser Favorites'
and set this property to Yes.
Now refresh the page. It will show this option.
