OBIEE UI Interface is missing prompt functionality and Column Selector

Hi,
OBIEE UI Interface is missing prompt functionality and Column Selector in Answers when creating a report. This problem occurs on all the reports. Also the problem occurs in firefox too. Could you please suggest me any suggestion to overcome this issue.
Thanks and Regards

May sound stupid, but do you have the Privileges to add these things to a report? These features can be turned on/off from the Privilege Administration Screen, for a group or user. Have a look.
Cheers,
A.

    hi kris,
Can we use a view selector and column selector inside a report in one section of the dashboard? Here view selector is nothing but having multiple views and selecting depends on what end user want to see.You are saying in a single report in once section only.
If it is a single report you can go with using a column selector.
Note:-View selector and column selector combination can be used.....but it looks wierd as you need to select view at the same time the corresponding column.
    UPDATED POST
Yes you can have it by creating different compound layouts with pivots in it.

  • Function and column

    Hi All,
I have a function and a column with same name. No parameter passing into the function but function return type is number. I have a column name same as function name and datatype also number. In my query i want to use the return result of function when i am selecting from the table which have the column.
Can any body tell me how to do. Both are in same user.
    Thanks in Advance

I've always known the French were weird, but shift for a period? That's not all, its shift for all the numbers too and a bunch of letters are swapped.
    http://www.forlang.wsu.edu/help/kfrench.gif
I first used unix and vi on a French system, spent all my time looking down at the keyboard and couldn't understand why I kept deleting the wrong character when switching from insert to edit mode after making a typo of which there were plenty.
Finally I caught the cursor moving back one space when in edit mode, I have hated vi ever since.

  • Master-Detail Linking and column selectors

Does anyone know if it's possible (in 11.1.1.7) to create a master-detail link on a column that's part of a column selector?
There's a master "roll-up" table using a column that's part of a column selector group. For one of the columns in the group, I've set the interaction to "Send Master-Detail Event".
There's a detail table that uses that same column, and listens on the correct channel.
However, when clicking on the column output in the master roll-up table, the detail doesn't change.
I should mention I'm using the latest Firefox on PC, if that matters.
    Thanks!

I'm facing the same issue.Has anyone worked on it?

  • Bug fix for can not open notification center, missing OneDrive functionality and missing standard pins from quick access

(this post was previously titled:  Quick Access: Anoying extra navigation to browse to desktop etc. - User space should be under Quick Access - please relocate or add such an option to move Desktop, Documents etc. to be listed under Quick Accesss)
Quick Access: Anoying extra navigation to browse to desktop etc. - User space should be under Quick Access - please relocate or add such an option to move Desktop, Documents etc. to be listed under Quick Access
So depending on the out-of-the-factory solution - whether giving priority to back compatibility (desktop list under PC) - the only place in Windows 10 to find it (please add by default at Quick Access) ... this think about removing then the redundant link
which be under This PC then.
There are already options now - in Explorer > View Folder Options > General to control the provisioning of the concepts in the User navigational space for Quick Access, Libraries:
    1) So may be put an option so at least you can set Explorer to show the user space folders Desktop, Documents, Links, Videos, Pictures, Downloads under the Quick Access concept (where it now naturally belongs) rather than under the technical concept "This
PC) - where you would normally expand to browse drives.
    2) Another option: If you do not care to expand drives - also add a provisioning option for hiding the This PC object (if all User Space concept are now available at Quick Access).

Quick Access: Anoying extra navigation to browse to desktop etc. - User space should be under Quick Access - please relocate or add such an option to move Desktop, Documents etc. to be listed under Quick Access.
Had to redo my roaming profile - i.e. delete it and start all over. It was a legacy profile from i.e. Windows 8.
OneDrive was not working - notification center not working - and apparently the documents, pictures etc. folder was not pinned under Quick Access.
After deleting and recreating the profile everything was inplace - including the user space folders (documents, pictures etc) listed under Quick Acess which I complained about in the previous post.

  • OWB bugs, missing functionality and the future of OWB

I'm working with OWB for some time now and there are a lot of rough edges to discover. Functionality and stability leave a lot to be desired. Here's a small and incomplete list of things that annoy me:
Some annoying OWB bugs (OWB 10g 10.1.0.2.0):
    - The debugger doesn't display the output parameters of procedures called in pre-mapping processes (displays nothing, treats values as NULL). The mapping itself works fine though.
    - When calling selfmade functions within an expression OWB precedes the function call with a constant "Functions." which prevents the function from being executed and results in an error message
    - Occasionally OWB cannot open mappings and displays an error message (null pointer exception). In this case the mapping cannot be opened anymore.
    - Occasionally when executing mappings OWB doesn't remember changes in mappings even when the changes were committed and deployed
    - When using aggregators in mappings OWB scrambles the order of the output attributes
    - The deployment of mappings sometimes doesn't work. After n retries it works without having changed anything in the mapping
    - When recreating an external table directly after dropping the table OWB recreates the external table but always displays both an error message and a success message.
    - In Key Lookups the screen always gets garbled when selecting an attribute as a join condition
    - Usage of constants results in aborts in the debugger
    - When you reconcile a table used in a key lookup the lookup condition sometimes changes. OWB seems to remember only the position of the lookup condition attribute but not the name.
    - In the process of validating a mapping often changes in the mapping get lost and errors occur like 'Internal Errors' or 'Null Pointer Exceptions'.
    - When you save the definition of external tables OWB always adds 2 whitespace columns to the beginning of all the lines following 'ORGANISATION EXTERNAL'. If you save a lot of external table definitions you get files with hundreds of leading whitespaces.
    Poor or missing functionality:
    - No logging on the level of single records possible. I'd like the possibility to see the status of each single record in each operator like using 'verbose data' in PowerCenter
    - The order of the attributes cannot be changed. This really pisses me off expecially if operators like the aggregator scramble the order of attributes.
    - No variables in expressions possible
    - Almost unusable lookup functionality (no cascading lookups, no lookup overrides, no unconnected lookups, only equal condition in key lookups)
    - No SQL overrides in soruces possible
    - No mapplets, shared containers or any kind a reusable transformations
    - No overview functionality for mappings. Often it's very hard to find a leftover operator in a big mapping.
    - No copy function for attributes
    - Printing functionality is completely useless
    - No documentation functionality for mappings (reports)
    - Debugger itself needs debugging
    - It's very difficult to mark connections between attributes of different operations. It's almost impossible to mark a group of connections without marking connections you don't want to mark.
I really wonder which of the above bugs and mssing functionality 'Paris' will address. From what I read about 'Paris' not many if at all. If Oracle really wants to be a competitor (with regard to functionality) to Informatica, IBM/Ascential etc. they have a whole lot of work to do or purchase Informatica or another of the leading etl tool
    vendors.
What do you think about OWB? Will it be a competitor for the leading etl tools or just a cheap database add on and become widely used like SAB BW not for reasons of technology or functionality but because it's cheap?
    Looking forward to your opinions.
    Jörg Menker

Thanks to you two for entertaining my thoughts so far. Let me respond to you latest comments.
Okay, lets not argue which one is better.. when a tool is there .. then there are some reasons to be there...But the points raised by Jorg and me are really very annoying. Overall I agree with both yours and Jorg's points (and I did not think it was an argument...merely sharing our observations with each other (;^)
The OWB tool is not as mature as Informatica. However, Informatica has no foothold in the database engine itself and as I mentioned earlier, is still "on the outside looking in..." The efficiency and power of set-based activity versus row-based activity is substantial.
Looking at it from another way lets take a look at Microstrategy as a way of observing a technical strategy for product development. Microstrategy focused on the internals (the engine) and developed it into the "heavy-lifting" tool in the industry. It did this primarily by leveraging the power of the backend...the database and the hosting server. For sheer brute force, it was champion of the day. It was less concerned with the pretty presentation and more concerned with getting the data out of the back-end so the user didn't have to sit there for a day and wait. Now they have begun to focus on the presentation part.
Likewise this seems to be the strategy that Oracle has used for OWB. It is designed around the database engine and leverages the power of the database to do its work. Informatica (probably because it needs to be all things to all people) has tended to view the technical offerings of the database engine as a secondary consideration in its architectural approach and has probably been forced to do so more now that Oracle has put themselves in direct competition with Informatica. To do otherwise would make their product too complex to maintain and more vendor-specific.
I am into the third data warehousing/data migration project and my previous two have been on Informatica (3 years on it).I respect your experience and your opinions...you are not a first timer. The tasks we have both had to solve and how we solved them with these tools are not necessarily the same. Could be similar in instances; could be quite different.
So the general tendency is to evaluate the tool and try to see how things that were needed to be done in my previous projects can be done with this tool. I am afraid to say .. I am still not sure how these can be implemented in OWB. The points raised by us are probably the fall out of this deficiency. One observation that I would make is that in my experience, calls to the procedural language in the database engine have tended to perform very poorly with Informatica. Informatica's scripting language is week. Therefore, if you do not have direct usability of a good, strong procedural language to tackle some complicated tasks, then you will be in a pickle when the solution is not well suited to a relational-based approach. Informatica wants you to do most things outside of the database (in the map primarily). It is how you implement the transformation logic. OWB is built entirely around the relational, procedural, and ETL components in the Oracle database engine. That is what the tool is all about.
If cost is the major factor for deciding a tool then OWB stands far ahead...Depends entirely on the client and the situation. I have implemented solutions for large companies and small companies. I don't use a table saw to cut cake and I don't use a pin knife to fall trees. Right tool for the right job.
...thats what most managers do .. without even looking how in turn by selecting such a tool they make the life tough for the developers.Been there many times. Few non-technical managers understand the process of tool evaluation and selection and the value a good process adds to the project. Nor do they understand the implications of making a bad choice (cost, productivity, maintainability).
The functionality of OWB stands way below Informatica. If you are primarily a GUI-based implementer that is true. However, I have often found that when I have been brought in to fix performance problems with Informatica implementations that the primary problem is usually with the way that the developer implemented it. Too often I have found that the developer understands how to implement logic in the GUI component (the Designer/Maps and Sessions) with a complete lack of understanding of how all this activity will impact load performance (they don't understand how the database engine works.) For example, a strong feature in Informatica is the ability to override the default SQL statement generated by Informatica. This was a smart design decision on Informatica's part. I have frequently had to go into the "code" and fix bad joins, split up complex operations, and rip out convoluted logic to get the maps to perform within a reasonable load window. Too often these developers are only viewing the problem through the "window" of the tool. They are not stepping back and look at the problem in the context of the overall architecture. In part Informatica forces them to do this. Another possible factor is they probably don't know better.
    "One tool...one solution"
Microstrategy until recently had been suffering from that same condition of not allowing the developer to create the actual query). OWB engineers need to rethink their strategy on overriding the SQL.
The functionality of OWB stands way below Informatica. In some ways yes. If you do a head-to-head comparison of the GUI then yes. In other ways OWB is better (Informatica does not measure up when you compare it with all of the architectural features that the Oracle database engine offers). They need to fix the bugs and annoyances though.
.. but even the GUI of Informatica is better than OWB and gives the developer some satisfaction of working in it.Believe me I feel your pain. On the other hand, I have suffered from Informatica bugs. Ever do a port from one database eingine to another just to have it convert everything into multi-byte? Ever have it re-define your maps to parallel processing threads when you didn't ask it to?
Looking at the technical side of things I can give you one fine example ... there is no function in Oracle doing to_integer (to_number is there) but Informatica does that ... Hmm-m-m...sorry, I don't get the point.
The style of ETL approach of Informatica is far more appealing.I find it unnecessarily over-engineered.
OWB has two advantages : It is basically free of cost and it has a big brother in Oracle.
It is basically free of cost...When you are another "Microsoft", you can throw your weight around. The message for Informatica is "don't bite the hand that feeds you." Bad decisions at the top.

    Dan Phillips

    Parth Divekar wrote:
So your suggestion is to have it in a procedure ...form a dynamic sql using values from query and then execute the sql..That's one thing you can do.
You might also look into string aggregation, where you have one gargantuan column containing all the pivoted data from all the abbreviatons, no matter how many there are. That big column can be formatted so that it looks like several distinct columns.
Assuming dynamic SQL is the best answer, I find it easier to do in SQL*Plus, using files or substitution variables, as shown below. That's just my preference; you may like PL/SQL better.
How to Pivot a Table with a Dynamic Number of Columns
This works in any version of Oracle
The "SELECT ... PIVOT" feature introduced in Oracle 11
is much better for producing XML output.
Say you want to make a cross-tab output of
    the scott.emp table.
Each row will represent a department.
There will be a separate column for each job.
Each cell will contain the number of employees in
a specific department having a specific job.
The exact same solution must work with any number
    of departments and columns.
(Within reason: there's no guarantee this will work if you
    want 2000 columns.)
Case 0 "Basic Pivot" shows how you might hard-code three
job types, which is exactly what you DON'T want to do.
Case 1 "Dynamic Pivot" shows how get the right results
    dynamically, using SQL*Plus.
(This can be easily adapted to PL/SQL or other tools.)
    PROMPT     ==========  0. Basic Pivot  ==========

    FROM     scott.emp
WHERE     job     IN ('ANALYST', 'CLERK', 'SALESMAN')

    FROM     scott.emp
    GROUP BY     deptno
    ORDER BY     deptno
    SPOOL     OFF
    --     *****  End of dynamic_pivot.sql  *****
    EXPLANATION:
The basic pivot assumes you know the number of distinct jobs,
and the name of each one.  If you do, then writing a pivot query
is simply a matter of writing the correct number of ", COUNT ... AS ..."\
lines, with the name entered in two places on each one.  That is easily
done by a preliminary query, which uses SPOOL to write a sub-script
    (called dynamic_pivot_subscript.sql in this example).
The main script invokes this sub-script at the proper point.
In practice, .SQL scripts usually contain one or more complete
statements, but there's nothing that says they have to.
This one contains just a fragment from the middle of a SELECT statement.
Before creating the sub-script, turn off SQL*Plus features that are
designed to help humans read the output (such as headings and
feedback messages like "7 rows selected.", since we do not want these
    to appear in the sub-script.
Turn these features on again before running the main query.
PROMPT     ==========  2. Dynamic Pivot using Substitution Variable  ==========
    --     *****  Preliminary Query:  *****
    COLUMN     sql_txt_col     NEW_VALUE     sql_txt
    WITH     all_jobs     AS
         SELECT DISTINCT
              job
         ,     DENSE_RANK () OVER (ORDER BY job)     AS r_num
         FROM     scott.emp
    SELECT     SYS_CONNECT_BY_PATH ( job || '''     THEN 1 END) AS '
                          || job
                          || '_CNT'
                          || CHR (10)               -- Newline, for legibility only
, ', COUNT (CASE WHEN job = '''     -- Delimiter, goes before each entry
                       )                                       AS sql_txt_col
    FROM     all_jobs
    WHERE     CONNECT_BY_ISLEAF     = 1
    START WITH     r_num = 1
    CONNECT BY     r_num = PRIOR r_num + 1
    --     *****  Main Query  *****
    SELECT     deptno
&sql_txt     -- Ends with newline, so occupy that line
    FROM     scott.emp
    GROUP BY     deptno
    ORDER BY     deptno
    EXPLANATION:
Using a substitution variable is very similar to using a script.
The main difference is that the output of the preliminary query has to
go into one row.  This is done with SYS_CONNECT_BY_PATH, and getting
that requires that the jobs be numbered with consecutive integers, 1, 2, 3, ...
    which we get from DENSE_RANK.
The NEWLINE character was added just to make the output line easier
    to read during debugging.

  • OBIEE 11G Hidden Sections Taking Up Space and Skewing Dashboard Alignment

    Hi OBIEE Experts,
I'm hoping someone can help me out with this. I am using a dashboard prompt to hide sections within an OBIEE Dashboard. Everything is working and functioning as I wanted, except for the Dashboard/Section alignment. The sections and their content are hiding depending upon the result of the Dashboard Prompt, but even though they are hiding they are taking up space on the Dashboard. In my Dashboard I have this basic layout:
    _____________________COLUMN 1_____________________
    _______COLUMN 2_______ _______COLUMN 3_______
COLUMN 2 contains my Dashboard Prompt that hides/unhides the sections in COLUMN 3. COLUMN 3 has 9 different sections in it, with only one section showing at a time based on the Dashboard Prompt. The Section Headers are set to show for each of these 9 sections.
The problem is coming in that if a user selects the Prompt value that activates the section highest in the Dashboard Layout (Section position 1 in COLUMN 3), the dashboard aligns correctly. The Section Header for the Dashboard Prompt Section in COLUMN 2 is perfectly aligned with the shown section in COLUMN 3. However, if a user selects a prompt value that triggers any section other than the highest to be shown, the alignment gets off. It is especially bad and noticeable when you get to the lowest section in COLUMN 3.
I have attached screen shots (data blacked out) that demonstrate this problem.
    - http://kathrynlwatson.com/Dashboard%20Layout.png Shows the Dashboard Layout
    - http://kathrynlwatson.com/Selected%20Subject%20Area%20-%20Topographies.png Shows the Dashboard and Alignment when the Top Section in the Layout for COLUMN 3 is shown. This alignment is correct.
    - http://kathrynlwatson.com/Selected%20Subject%20Area%20-%20Patient%20Demographics.png Shows the Dashboard and Alignment when the Bottom Section in the Layout for COLUMN 3 is shown. This alignment is incorrect.
Does anyone have any tips for how to correct for this? I have set the format in all sections to have 0 padding all around. I have also tried putting each section in different columns, but that encounters the same problem, with the alignment being affected horizontally rather than vertically. Any help will be very much appreciated!

Well try using percent for all sizing for all columns like (50% width, 30% height..etc). You need to play around to get the closest match. Also, try using blank sections for extra padding with fixed %sizes

  • Find function and spotlight - some reactions

    Hi,
I just got at new iMac and I'm trying to get hip to what's what with Leopard. I hit a glitch when it came time to look for a file on the hard drive. Is it me or is the find function almost useless? (I've given up on Spotlight.) When I select File > Find... a window comes up that indicates the search is "This Mac". Why not use the name of the hard drive? Further along the top of this window, "Contents" is selected. (I want "File name".) Who wants to start a search with contents??? If I select a different hard drive, this row of options disappears and I just have the search field in the top right of the window. If I type into the search field, it goes back to searching content on my mac?!
When you initiate a new search, the window is small and you inevitably have to resize the columns and window. And what's with the smart folder icon at the top of the window? For me, the results show too much info.
Oh, and I still "like" the way it displays the file path of the found file. It's ok if the file isn't buried 10 folders deep or one has a gigantic 24" screen where resizing will show it. It seems that the find function has gotten progressively worse as the cats have come and gone. This will be unbearable at work where I have to search 100's of folders on a Windows share digging through 200,000 plus graphics and word pro files.
Oh, I found out that when I select a file name to copy and paste it, the extension is not hilighted. Is this going to get stupid?
And in the end, what prompted me to use the find file in the first place was I wanted to import the ical .abbu file to my new iMac. I just couldn't import this .abbu file from my other machine. Not migrating assistant, copying that iCal '.abbu' file into a folder--wherever that is on my iMac now--or importing the file using iCal will set my new iCal like the old one.

It has some quirks, and it's not always obvious how to use it to its best, but it's far from useless.
    (I've given up on Spotlight.)
I assume you mean the Spotlight menu. Spotlight still does the searching in Finder windows. And when you know its ins and outs (for instance, it searches both Contents and Name, you should adjust the categories listed in the menu thru the Spt Pref pane since only 20 items are listed, you can see the path to a listed item, or have it revealed in the Finder; you can use keywords for more targeted searches... and so on).
When I select File > Find... a window comes up that indicates the search is "This Mac". Why not use the name of the hard drive?
It's letting you search everything (all mounted volumes), not just the internal drive, giving you the widest possible search area. The bigger problem with this element is that the second "search area" option, which is the folder window you started in, isn't the default selection. I suppose the thinking there was that if you're looking in a folder and can't find what you want, you want to widen your search, not narrow it with more criteria. But most of us want that optional folder set as the default when we go into Find!
Further along the top of this window, "Contents" is selected. (I want "File name".) Who wants to start a search with contents???
I suppose the people who want to start with Contents aren't complaining, so we don't hear from them. But I agree that File Name should be the default. However, if you use Command-Shift-F instad of Command-F (or hold Shift while opening the File menu the Find command changes to Find By Name), you'll get a Search window whose first criterion bar is already set to "Name contains..." and you can go right for the file name.
If I select a different hard drive, this row of options disappears and I just have the search field in the top right of the window. If I type into the search field, it goes back to searching content on my mac?!
Yes, one of the ways to get out of a Search mode window is to click on something else for the window to display; it really should set the Search area to a disk or folder you click on. But when you do go back into Find mode by typing in the Search field, your optional Search area is now the volume you just clicked on.
When you initiate a new search, the window is small and you inevitably have to the columns and window. And what's with the smart folder icon at the top of the window? For me, the results show too much info.
If your search is in a current window rather than a new one, it inherits the size of the current window; try clicking the zoom button before you go into Find mode.
Not sure what your beef with the Smart Folder icon in the window. The Find window isn't a regular folder, and it behaves just like a Smart Folder, really, and can be turned into a Smart Folder with a click of the Save button; this detail makes more sense to me than a regular folder icon or another icon altogether.
I assume that by "show too much info" you mean the search isn't targeted enough and the list is too long? Because the only info it shows for each hit is the name, kind, and last opened date. It's missing the basic Size column, so even if you Find according to Size, you can't sort according to size! I'd call that not enough info!
So, I'm guessing you mean "too much info" as "too many files that don't match what I'm looking for". But you can narrow your search all sorts of ways both in the Search field with multiple words, literal strings, boolean operators ("this AND that" "this OR that but NOT the other thing") and in as many criteria bars as you want to define kind, created or modified dates, folders not files, a partial file resize name PLUS a few words of the content....
Are you referring to the squeezed-up list of folders in the Path bar at the bottom of the window? Hovering your cursor over any of the squeezed-up names shows you the full names of the interim files.
As for digging through 200K files... again, narrowing your search with parameters like "name contains..." "modified before/after" "kind is image" or "kind is JPEG" and so on... all this is available to dig through that mountain, and it's the same kind of parameters you'd have to define for any search engine to know what you want and narrow the choices.
Oh, I found out that when I select a file name to copy and paste it, the extension is not hilighted. Is this going to get stupid?
Well, here we totally disagree. The non-hilite on the extension is a boon - you can select a name and rename the file without having to retype the extension. When you want the name with the extension, just select the file (not the name) and choose Copy - you can paste the whole name that way. (Other info is copied with a select-and-Copy procedure. Depending on where you do the paste, you get different things: it copies the icon, too, so if you want to paste it in a Get Info window as a custom icon, you can use that; it copies the entire file, to, so you can Copy a file in one folder and Paste it in another. The Mac pretty much knows which part of the copied info you want to use based on where you do the pasting.)
And in the end, what prompted me to use the find file in the first place was I wanted to import the ical .abbu file to my new iMac. I just couldn't import this .abbu file from my other machine. Not migrating assistant, copying that iCal '.abbu' file into a folder--wherever that is on my iMac now--or importing the file using iCal will set my new iCal like the old one.
.abbu is for Address Book, .icbu is for iCal - I assume this was just a typo on your part. But whichever one you meant, I have no trouble finding either one (not that I had them before I tested this based on your comment, since I use Time Machine for backing them up). However, I created both program-based backups, and each was instantly found both thru the Spotlight menu and a Search window with no problem. the icbu file's Kind is iCal Backup file; searching by Kind is "iCal Backup" should get it for you. The abbu file Kind is "Address Book Archive FIle"; searching for Kind is with that whole, or partial, description should help you find it.

  • Missing COPY functions on E90

I have been using communicators since Nokia came out with them. The 9500 was by far the best communicator I have used (including E90).
One of the major feature missing in E90 (besides range of others) is missing contextual COPY and PASTE functions. For example you cannot copy off a text from a incoming SMS. You have to take into forward or reply mode if you want to copy the text using CRTL-C or copy from options. This copy function is missing on other different sections of the software which used to be there in 9500 like - call log, contacts etc.
Similarly, missing paste is annoying. Specially, it is impossible to dial a number from the clipboard memory. You have to take a last dialled number - use number - edit, erase the old number and do ctrl-v to paste the number.
I think there was a lot of shortsightedness in designing the communicator software. Its the same S60 that is in all other Nokia. Just with bigger screen and keyboard. Not the communicator I am used to.
    Thanks

hi, I have already posted an issue like this, but here is my opinion.
I agree that a communicator with a S60 as less potencial than a S80, but I think is more reliable.
Don´t underestimate the power of this 1st S60 communicator.
I will present a list of new features comparisson with 9500
    - Full S60 user interface for inner and outer UI
    - GSM QUADBAND (850/900/1800/1900) and WCDMA HSDPA
    - Thinner, from 22 mm to 20 mm.
    - premium design, Extensive use of metal.
    - Bigger outer display with improved readability (240x360)
    - Higher inner display resolution (800 x 352)
    - Full S60 user interface for inner and outer UI
    - Vibra alert and inner keyboard lights
    - Improved audio quality
    - Integrated GPS, Maps application
    - Video telephony, with 2nd camera
    - 3.2 Mpix camera with autofocus
    - Mini-USB connector (USB 2.0 compatible)
    - QuickOffice editors & viewers
    - Micro SD memory card
    - Push to talk
    - FM radio
    - SIP VoIP 2.1 SSL layer supported between device and

  • [SOLVED] Missing package () function for PyTyle2

Hi, I was trying to install this tarball from the AUR: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=42541
But it prompts the following error:
==> ERROR: Missing package() function in /home/kolt/AUR/pytyle2-hg/PKGBUILD
I've read the PKGBUILD and have no idea why this is happening. I already installed the dependencies needed.
    Any clue?

Read the pacman output, it refers to the package() function and makepkg doesn't find it in the PKGBUILD as said. Ask the maintainer to update or orphan it, if he doesn't respond file an AUR request.

  • Why the "hme0" interface is missing?

Hallo! I'm working on a Sun Blade 150 (Solaris 8 4/01). I did a "ifconfig -a" and only see the "lo0" loppback interface and the "eri0" interface.
Why the "hme0" interface is missing?

Edited by: Wolfgang073 on Jan 17, 2010 9:11 AM... because for Solaris-ethernet-on-SPARC, the interface name is specific to the chipset that is used for the function.
Your SB150 uses an "ethernet RIO interface" (ERI) on a discrete chipset and does not use hardware for what has often been named "highspeed-media-ethernet" (HME).
The hardware is different, thus the acronym is different.

I have just sought  to update my lightroom and am now unable to access the develop function and get a note stating that I have reduced functionality what it this about and how do I get my product back

    Hi there
I have version 5.7 and every time I opened it I was told that updates are available and to click on the icon to access these.  Instead it just took me to the
adobe page with nowhere visible to update.  I then  sought to download lightroom cc and this is when I could not access the 'develop' section due to reduced
functionality  It was apparent that my photos had been put in cc but no way to access them unless I wanted to subscribe.
I have since remedied the problem as  my original lightroom 5.7 icon is still available on the desktop and have gone back to that.  I do feel that this is a bit
of a rip off and an unnecessary waste of my time though.
Thank you for your prompt reply by the way.
