Object of class stdClass could not be converted to string

Dear all,
Im very new in PHP development and trying to consume a ASP.NET webservice.
This is my code:
<HTML>
<HEAD>
<TITLE>New Document</TITLE>
</HEAD>
<BODY>
<?php
require_once('lib/nusoap.php');
$soap = new SoapClient('https://testsoap.test.nl:446/Service1.asmx?wsdl');
  try {
    $result = $soap->testPhp();
    echo "$result";
  } catch (SoapFault $e) {
    echo "Error: {$e->faultstring}";
?>
</BODY></HTML>
When running this, im getting this error:
PHP Catchable fatal error: Object of class stdClass could not be converted to string . on line 14.
And this is line 14 in my code:
echo "$result";
Can anyone help me with this issue?
Thanks

Without knowing what version of PHP you are using and also there does not seem to be an SAP angle, have you tried var_dump() instead of echo.
e.g. var_dump($result);

  • Adobe Form Translation error Omitted Objects (Could not be Converted)

    Hi,
    I am new to this forum. I have an issue with Adobe form Translation. Through SE63 (or through the form translation itself) , whenever I try to translate into any language it gives me an error "  Omitted Objects (Could not be Converted)". And the translation doesnt get saved. I tested with other forms and the translation works perfectly fine. Its the problem only with this particular form. In fact any change gives error. For e.g. I copy the English the translation to the Greek or the Hungarian one, and if I delete a character and save it it gives me an error.
    Please help me if you have faced similar issues have any knowledge about it.
    Thanks in advance
    Shivam

    Hi David,
    Thanks for answering my query. I had installed a new patch and even that did not work. However I managed to make it work. I dont know if its the correct way but it worked for me. On furthur analyses I found out that the problem was with XML tags. This was throwing an error. Also, on looking at the translations I Observed that there were few close tags "</trans-unit> " which had no open "<trans-unit>" for them. I simply deleted the extra close tags and the translation worked fine after that.
    Point to be noted is that the extra tags were not there in the original english translation. They only appeared when I tried to change the Greek or Hungarian translation and saved them.
    Hope it helps anybody.
    Thanks.

  • SID # could not be converted...

    Dear Experts,
    i wanted to open a query and the foll. err. msg. has appeared:
    "SID 1 for characteristic XYZ could not be converted CL_RSDM_READ_MASTER_DATA->_SIDVAL_DIRECT_READ2"
    "System error in program SAPLRRK0 and form MEGA_SORT_M_02-02- (see long text)"
    Long Text:
    "Diagnosis
    This internal error is an intended termination resulting from a program state that is not permitted.
    Procedure
    Analyze the situation and inform SAP.
    If the termination occurred when you executed a query or Web template, or during interaction in the planning modeler, and if you can reproduce this termination, record a trace (transaction RSTT).
    For more information about recording a trace, see the documentation for the trace tool environment as well as SAP Note 899572.
      Notification Number BRAIN 299."
    The SID 1 for characteristic XYZ is really missing in the S table of the characteristic...
    What should I do? Any ideas?
    Thx.

    HI,
    Firstly you need to check the consistency for the Masterdata used in the Report(Use RSRV). Then if you found any errors you can repair those Objects. Reload the Masterdata.
    If you are still getting the same problem while running the report, then check the consistency for InfoCube in RSRV. If there is inconsistency with the corresponding masterdata objects then you need to reload the Transaction data again to fix this issue.
    Hope this help's you.

  • New@SSIS - Excel Src: The value could not be converted because of a potential loss of data

    Good day,
    I am currently working on a SSIS package that had been built by a previous user. That Package allows me to import data from an excel source to a SQL table. The excel sheet holds multiple columns, However I am having difficulty with one
    column when running the package.
    The column rows hold a character and an integer (eg: N2). The data types are as follows:
    SQL – varchar(3),NULL
    SSIS - double-precision float [DT_R8]
    I then inserted a data conversion task to change the data type. The task holds the following properties:
    Input column – F6
    Output Alias – Copy of F6
    Data Type – string[DT_STR]
    Length – 50
    When I execute the package I receive the following error:”
    [Excel Source Data [76]] Error: There was an error with output column "F6" (91) on output "Excel Source Output" (85). The column status returned was: "The value could not be converted because
    of a potential loss of data.".
    I do know that usually the message "The value could not be converted because of a potential loss of data." refers to a data type or length problem.
    Further insight to this problem will be much appreciated.

    Hi Zahid01,
    From the error message you post, we can infer the issue is caused by the input column “F6” cannot convert to the output column in Excel Source.
    Based on my test, I can reproduce the issue in my environment. The exactly cause is the data type of input column “F6” cannot convert to the data type of corresponding output column. For example, the data type of input column “F6” is [DT_STR], the data type
    of corresponding output column is [DT_I4], and there are some nonnumeric values in the input column “F6”. When we execute the task, the error occurs. We can verify the issue in the Advanced Editor dialog box of Excel Source. The following screenshot is for
    your reference:
    To avoid this issue, please make sure the input column can convert to the output column in Excel Source, including all the values in the input column.
    If there are any other questions, please feel free to ask.
    Thanks,

  • "itunes could not copy song to the ipod because the file could not be converted."

    Hello.  I'm using iTunes 10.6 and trying to sync an iPod Classic 120GB with Mac OS X 10.6.8.  I keep getting the error "itunes could not copy 3 songs to the ipod because the file could not be converted."   All three songs are AAC, 256kbps. I didn't have this problem with these songs a couple days ago until I decided to convert all 256kbps songs to 128kbps to fit on my 120Gb iPod.  iTunes, nor my iPod haven't updated during this time.  Any suggestions?
    -Chad

    This problem does seem pretty random, affecting just a small number of tracks. Apparently it is due to some file corruption or something... Anyway, this thread https://discussions.apple.com/thread/2654317?start=15&tstart=0 has a couple of solutions spelled out. Basically the same thing that a-monk-at-large suggested above. (Delete and redownload the offending tracks.)

  • Itunes could not copy song because the file could not be converted.  Can anyone help

    Synced Jeff Wayne's War of the World from Mac to Iphone - 1 track could not be copied - error message "the file could not be converted" popped.
    Any suggestions as to problem and remedy?

    This "Workaround" doesn't fix the fact that Itunes generate an error message because it is unable to convert the audio file ALTHOUGH the audio file is OK.
    This problem started with Itunes 11.1.3, and it affects almost every album in my library for no reasons ...
    Tried deleting all library file, creating a new library and re-importing audio file that I know are OK ... funny thing, it's not always the same file that create this bug.
    Really a random bug ... reopened itunes with "compatibility option" set to "Windows XP SP3"   and  it's different tracks from the same album that can't be converted now.

  • I received error message that 6 of my songs I purchased on a workout album could not be copied because the file could not be converted. How do I get these 6 songs to download on my ipod shuffle?

    I received error message that 6 of my songs that I purchased on a workout album could not be copied because the file could not be converted.
    How do I get these 6 songs downloaded to my ipod shuffle?

    I can think of only one reason a song would be "converted" while it is being loaded on a shuffle.
    Select the iPod in the iTunes sidebar, under DEVICES.  Over to the right, depending on iPod model, go to the Summary or Settings tab.  There should be a setting there that says Convert higher bit rate songs to 128 kbps AAC (the 128 kbps part may be adjustable).  If that checkbox is checked, try unchecking it.
    NOTE:  This setting may allow more songs to fit on the shuffle, but for any converted song, the sound quality will become inferior.  So I don't use it.

  • Applet HelloWorld class HelloWorld could not be loaded.

    Dear Colleagues
    I am very new to Java, but have followed the advice of a number of people here and read one or two tutorials.
    I thought I had managed to write my first HelloWorld! application/applet in that I can see HelloWorld.java and HelloWorld.class in the bin folder in MS-DOS, but once I had coded the HTML page to view it (both in Netscape and Explorer) I received the following message in the status bar:
    Applet HelloWorld class HelloWorld could not be loaded.
    The HTML page has been written exactly as it should be and the HelloWorldApp class file, the HelloWorldApp (File for Forte for Java), the HelloWorld (File for Forte for Java), and the HTML page are all located together in the bin folder of the jdk1.3.1 directory.
    In my C:\Autoexec.bat file I have the following:
    SET BLASTER=A220 I7 D1 T2
    SET SNDSCAPE=C:\WINDOWS
    rem - By Windows Setup - C:\WINDOWS\COMMAND\MSCDEX.EXE /D:CD1
    @ECHO OFF
    PROMPT $P$G
    PATH=C:\WINDOWS;C:\WINDOWS\COMMAND;C:\JDK1.3\BIN
    SET PATH=%PATH%;C:\WINDOWS\Twain_32\Scanwiz;C:\WINDOWS\Twain\Scanwiz
    SET PATH=%PATH%;C:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\MDLSHA~1\ISIS
    SET CLASSPATH=
    Any advice on what I am doing wrong would be appreciated.
    Thank you.
    Steve Higham

    The could be several things here that are the problem. Firstly doe the applet runb using the appletviewer. If so then there is problably a problem with the HTML code you are using to call the Applet. If the HTML file esides in a different directory than the .class file then make sure the 'CODEBASE' field points to the directory containing the .class file. Can you post your HTML for us to see?

  • ..could not copy ..... because the file could not be converted.

    iTunes 11.0.2.26 on Win 7.
    I bought a song on iTunes for my wife the other day and she put it on her iPad.
    After some syncing, iTunes is trying to sync that song to my iPad.
    Everytime I get an error saying 'iTunes could not copy  (name of song) to the (my iPad)
    because the file could not be converted'.
    Is there some way I can convert that song?
    I'm not sure how it got to my wife's iPad and won't get to mine.
    Thanks!

    The song showed in iTunes on my iPhone with a little cloud icon with a download arrow.
    Tried downloading it and syncing. Same error.
    Deleted the song from my iPhone.
    Deleted the song from my iTunes Library on my PC.
    Then re-downloaded the song to my PC's iTunes Library.
    Re-sync'ed the phone. Went fine.

  • Some items in the iTunes library were not copied because they could not be converted error

    When I try to sync my iPhone with my Windows version of iTunes I get the error "Some of the items in the iTunes library were not copied to the iPhone because one or more errors occurred."
    The error for all 3 of the songs is: "iTunes could not copy "song name" to the iPhone because the file could not be converted."
    The 3 songs are all songs that I have purchased from iTunes recently. One of them is just one song of an album that I purchased. If I go to my iPhone and download the songs from my purchased music section, they will download and play just fine. However, every time I sync the iPhone and iTunes I get the same error.
    I am using iTunes10.6.3.25. I am running 6.0 iOS on the phone.
    Thanks!

    I stumbled across this thread for the same issue.  I had 12 songs  that suddenly wouldn't sync from iTunes on my iMac to my iPhone 4.
    I use iTunes Match and the missing songs were both purchased from iTunes and matched from CD's I had ripped.
    Per Winnits I also ended up deleting them and downloading them to resolve the issue.
    I took a screenshot of the error window ("Some of the items in the iTunes library were not copied to the iPhone "My Name iPhone" because one or more errors occurred.") showing a list of the songs.  Then I disconnected my iPhone.
    I then deleted each song (but NOT from iCloud) and sent the files to the trash.  The iCloud download icon immediately appeared and I clicked on it to download the song again.  A few of the song titles were the same, either from different artists or a couple of live and studio versions.  I deleted each one since you can't tell the specifics from the error message.
    Then I reconnected my iPhone, let it sync and everything was fine, no more error message.  I've no idea what the issue was…perhaps a corrupt file, who knows?  I'm just glad it wasn't more than the dozen I ran into.
    Hope that helps anyone that follows!
