Object visualization to open attachment link in UWL decision task workitems

We are using Object Visualization (in t-code SWFVISU) to open an I-view when you click the attachment link in decision task workitems.  I sort of have this working.  My issue is that I need to pass parameters to the I-view.  I'm not sure how to do that.  I've seen some documentation on dynamic parms in SWFVISU (DYNPARM) but I don't see that option (maybe we are on an older version).  Maybe we can via XML files?  I've done Task visualization and edited xml files but I'm not sure if we can do similar code for object visualization.  Does anyone know how to do this?   Have any samples/documentation?
Thanks,
Matt

  • Not able to open "requested end" in user decision task.

    Hi All,
    In the user decision task, i have specified the value as +5 day in the "requested end" tab. When i executes the WF, and checks in the workflow log of work item, it shows that user decision step as logical deleted. I open that step on developement server, there value is fine as +5 day, then i tried to open that step on quality server where i am testing, when i clicks on that tab button it displays an error message at bottom of the screen "No Unit with the desired conversion factor is maintained", and with in 1 seconds it came out to initial screen of SAP.
    I checked the TR, it is imported correctly.
    where can be the issue then ? why i am not able to click on that tab in that user decision task, its very strange, i faced this kind of issue first time.
    if you have any idea about that why it is happening then please reply.
    Regards,
    Raman.

    Check SWU3 is properly maintained in your quality server.

    Hello Markus
    is it possible to remove the link ONLY for certain tasks? There is a suggestion here: Re: Disable attachment in preview of UWL : possible ?, but it is not working (can't see any task to  choose under "object visualization").
    Do you have an idea?

  • Add Attachment link doesn't open attachment window

    I'm trying to debug a custom page, written by someone else. It's in the recruitment module, and delivered subpages HRS_CE_A_RES_SBP and are included to allow attach/view/delete of attachments.
    When the Add Attachment link is clicked, it should open a window that lets the user enter a filename or browse, but on this custom page, nothing happens.
    Because the delivered code is unmodified, I suspect that there is some setup that hasn't been done. The component does contain table HRS_APP_ATTACH, which includes subrecord FILE_ATTACH_SBR. The component also contains record FILE_ATTACH_WRK.
    Can someone suggest my next step? Thanks.

    Generally Add attachment issues are enountered while setting up new regions for the reason URL not updated while setting up new region.
    In this table PSFILE_ATTDET a row is inserted temporarily with Oprid and deleted once the specified file is trasferred mentioned url successfully.
    Example: AddAttachment(&URL_ID, &ATTACHSYSFILENAME, &FILEEXTENSION, &ATTACHUSERFILE, &FILESIZE)
    works when &ATTACHUSERFILE =file-name and &URL_ID=gerurl(url.urlname) are given properly.Please check these parameters.

  • Delete Attachment link and the launchWebdynpro button in the UWL iview

    Hi,
    Can anyone help me in deleting or hiding the Attachment link and the launchWebdynpro button in the UWL iview. I dont want to do it in the iview properties which would affect all the tasks. Is there a way I can do it in the backend.\
    I appreciate the help.

    Hi Surjith,
    I have the same problem. How can I remove the link? After I called the mentioned function module, the attachment was removed (content) but in the UWL the file name is still there:
    From UWL:
    myFile.pdf by WF-BATCH (94 kb)
    myDeletedFile.pdf   <-- I removed this one with the function module
            CALL FUNCTION 'SAP_WAPI_ATTACHMENT_DELETE'

  • ABAP OO sales order object - how to attach link to VA03

    I'm trying to build workflow using ABAP Objects instead of BOR. I created custom object for sales order according to blog "Getting started with ABAP OO for Workflow using the IF_WORKFLOW interface". It works correctly in my workflow but I would like to attach link to "browse sales order" (VA03) to workflow step. When using BOR I can attach link my binding BOR objest to AdhocObjest step container element. The same way does not work for ABAP OO object. The error message is "The object categories 'CL' (source) and 'BO' (target) are not compatible".
    Is there any way to add this link to attachments when sales order object is OO not BOR?

    At least make sure that you have a default method 'browse' in your class. I mean that make a method for "displaying" or "browsing" or whatever you want to happen when you click the object, and make it default. OR actually if I remember correctly there is a default method existing already, but put your code to there.
    Also try this:
    -Create a container element of type 'sales order' into your task
    -Bind the sales order object from workflow to the the task

    Karri

  • MIRO Workflow: Attachment link not opening

    Hi guys.
    One of my users can execute transaction code MIR4 to display a MIRO invoice.
    But when it comes to workflow, they CANNOT display the Invoice when they click on the attachment link. What I know is the method in the workflow calls transaction code MIR4 to display the invoice.
    Does anyone know what the problem is or what other authorisations or roles this user should have?
    Regards.

    Hi,
    If the perticular user is able to view the Invoice through MIR4 directly Not through the workflow
    means,
    if this problem is facing a single user
    Please check what roles has been assigned to that perticular user , their might be authorization problem .
    If this problem is facing all the users means please check whether your are facing correct Invoice no or not.

  • Mltipal windows open when link attachment to microsoft word document is trying to open (Mac)

    I'm using MacBook Pro and when I'm using Firefox as browser and trying to open a link to a *doc file, new windows start opening and opening for ever... to stop this infinite process I have to use "Force Quit" to stop Firefox.
    Other formats like PDF, PPT and even *docx links will open the file properly.
    Any idea how to make it work properly?

    Check the setting for how Firefox should handle Microsoft Office Word documents. If it has been set to use Firefox then you will get this behaviour. For details of how to check this see the [[managing file types]] article.

  • MSS Approval Report Links to Busines Workflow Task in UWL

    Hello All,
    I have a scenario below that I'm hoping you can help.
    I copied the standard business workflow task "TS31000007: CATS Approval by Supervisor" to create our own task (general task) and link the 'CatManagerApprove' application and 'sap.com/msscatapproval' package to this task in the Workflow Visualization Configuration.
    We then assigned this new task to the time data entry profile for the portal.  Once, employee released the working time, the task is created and send to the Universal Worklist.
    The manager can then access the UWL and open this approve time workflow task. This task is open to the MSS Approval Report (similar to what appear under the MSS > Tasks > Approve Time by Manager).
    However, I have copied the Approve Time by Manager to our own and changed some of the  order of the column and header text and assigned to the MSS role.
    I would like to have this CATS approval task open to the same approval report view/layout as in the MSS Approval Report.
    I've tried to change the layout (column order) through portal contents of the standard MSS Approval Report because I thought it was reading from there, but it's not.
    Does anyone know how this can be done or where to point to the MSS Approval Report on the portal.
    Any help would be appreciated!
    Tam

    Hi Karri,
    We were able to use the launch iview task to launch our specific iview but I cannot seem to get it to recognize the workitem. In other words, when I click on the task in the UWL, my approve working time iview appears but it does not have the data that is from the workflow task item. Attached is the XML code that I used:
    <ItemType name="uwl.task.webflow.TS93000001.SAP_ECC_Financials" connector="WebFlowConnector" defaultView="DefaultView" defaultAction="launchIView" executionMode="default">
          <ItemTypeCriteria systemId="SAP_ECC_Financials" externalType="TS93000001" connector="WebFlowConnector"/>
          <Actions>
            <Action name="launchIView" groupAction="" handler="IViewLauncher" returnToDetailViewAllowed="yes" launchInNewWindow="yes" launchNewWindowFeatures="resizable=yes,scrollbars=yes,status=yes,toolbar=no,menubar=no,location=no,directories=no">
              <Properties>
                <Property name="newWindowFeatures" value="resizable=yes,scrollbars=yes,status=yes,toolbar=no,menubar=no,location=no,directories=no"/>
                <Property name="page" value="pcd:portal_content/net.saccounty.SacCounty/net.saccounty.approve_ts_data"/>
                <Property name="openInNewWindow" value="yes"/>
                <Property name="display_order_priority" value="5"/>
                <Property name="workitemId" value="${item.externalId}"/>
              </Properties>
              <Descriptions default=""/>
            </Action>
          </Actions>
        </ItemType>
    I thought the line <Property name="workitemId" value="${item.externalId}"/> would pick up the work item ID, but it is not working. Any suggestions?
    TS93000001 is our task. approve_ts_data is our iview. It opens in a new window correctly and goes to the correct iview, just is not the actual task data.
    Thank you,
    Mark.

  • Object Visualization and accessing the object's attributes

    Hi all,
    I am trying to configure SWFVISU to allow us to call an ABAP Web Dynpro which displays an adhoc object attached to a workflow in the UWL.
    I've had success with a business object of a task which is not an adhoc object by binding an attribute to the task container and creating a custom attribute in the UWL.  However this is not possible with Adhoc Objects as there could be 0..n objects at runtime.
    I've seen plenty of threads that refer to using ${item.externalObjectId} as part of the visualization parameters, ie in Visualization Parameters:
    APPLICATION     FMCA_WDY_FPF
    DYNPARAM                          WDCONFIGURATIONID=FMCA_WDY_FPF_CONF&RETURN_ID=${item.externalObjectId}
    NAMESPACE                          sap
    SYSTEM_ALIAS     SAP_ERP_Public_Sector
    however in this case the attribute we need access to is an attribute to the Object Class, not the Work Item.
    Is there any other variable substitution we can use in the Object Visualization to reference an attribute of the Object Class itself?
    Thanks in advance
    Alex

  • Attachment Creation from UWL

    Hi all,
       i have a  requirement  where i have a  User Decision task in approver's UWL now Approver  wants  to add some comment for  his  decision. I have seen somewhere that  in UWL also  we can  give 1 attachment object and  clicking on it  it  opens the  standard  attachment creation screen which  comes  when we right-click any workitem>Attachment>Create Attachment in Business WorkPlace(SBWP) in R/3.
        so i want  to achieve this same  functionality in UWL to open the attachment screen and  there  approver can put in his remarks...and  then fetch it  back in workflow and  send  it  as attachment to requestor along  with approver's decision....

    ok to be specific i want the office document creation functionality as shown in [this image|http://www.esnips.com/doc/710b3095-25af-4c93-a572-7755dd109320/travel]
    In this image there is STEP-2 - Click on Office Doc. Remarks to put Remarks (if Any). upon clicking it opens a pop-up screen shown in image (STEP-3 and STEP-4). Now i want  same functionality..is this  standard  Functionality  which can be activated/Deactivated as and  when wanted in UWL. or it is  possible  by  doing some trick in Wrorkflow..
    i get "Manage Attachment" link on right-side  corner of workitem preview but it  gives only upload file functionality from local drive....
    hope this  clears  my question.......

  • Open attachment

    Hi,
              I am using a servlet to open attachment in JavaMail. Part of the servlet
              I deal with attachment part is as following:
              if(disposition.equals(mbp.ATTACHMENT)) //mbp
              is MimeBodyPart object
              ServletOutputStream out =
              httpResponse.getOutputStream();
              InputStream is = mbp.getInputStream();
              filename = mbp.getFileName();
              try{
              ContentType ct = new
              ContentType(sct);
              httpResponse.setContentType(ct.getBaseType());
              catch (ParseException pe)
              pe.printStackTrace();
              httpResponse.setHeader("Content-Disposition", "attachment;
              filename="+filename);
              Read file content.........
              Here is the problem I am having now: In IE, when click on attachment
              link, an Open/Save as dialog will be poped up. If select Save As option,
              the default filename appeared in the Save as dialog box is my servlet
              name and the file type is .html, the content in this file is my current
              html page, instead of real attached file content. But it is ok to open
              the file, the content is attached file content.
              Any body has any good suggestions?
              Thanks.
              Meian

    Hi Daniel
    Assuming you still have PowerPoint installed on your system, drag the attached file out of the mail window onto the desktop. Select the file by clicking on it once in the Finder then select Get info from the File menu. Click the disclousure triangle to expand the Open with: section if it is not already showing. Use the pop up menu to choose PowerPoint, use the last 'Other...' option if PowerPoint is not listed and navigate to it through the standard browse dialogue box. (Select 'Enable ALL applications.' if necessary)
    Click Add when you find PowerPoint.
    This will relink this file to open with PowerPoint by default in the future.
    To make all documents with the same extension (.pps) also open with PowerPoint by default, click the 'Change All...' button in the Get info window.
    Cheers, Stephen.
    Edit: Yeah, what Jeff said. (Note to self: Must be more concise...) lol

  • FB03 unable to open attachment list

    Hi SAP members
    I got the issue in which for FB03 unable to open attachment as it was maintained in the respective table.
    Goto FB03 > ENVIRONMENT > ADDITIONAL ASSIGNMENTS > OBJECT LINKS and a popup appears in which attachment is available but double click on it nothing happens
    Please let me know whether it is a functional issue or Technical Issue.
    Thanks in Advance
    Suresh

    Hi Pradeep,
    I am agreeing the Dev Patra's answer. Because it would be because of missing authorization roles also. Please execute SU53 after checking the above FB03 path.Then you will get the missing objects list to that t code.
    I hope it helps!

  • Attachement linked to purchase order

    I want to know where the attachements linked to purchase order are getting stored in SAP.Since the attachement are linked to purchase order(header level) ,is it possible to link those attachements at item level so when we select a particular item  and  if the attachement exist for that item then we should be able to navigate to that attachement.These attachement are uploaded from window(any text file).Is it possible to implement this functionality at item level(table control) in purchase order?is there any existing functionality which support this requirement?

    You can also attach manually any document to PO without using Document Management System ( DMS ) in SAP 4.6C.
    But you cannot attach document while you create PO in T/Code ME21N
    Save you PO ( ME21N ) and again open with change ( ME22N ) then you can attach document through Service for Object button. Service for Object button available down side of Command screen ( in your PO screen ME22N )
    Click your Service Object button -> Create -> Create attachment
    then select your window directory ( which file you need to attach) select your file Now your system shows message  Service "Create attachment" is started.
    Save again your PO. You can see (open) your attachment in same field ( Service for Object ) select and Create and check attachment list. You can attach as many document in your PO.
    Note: This is only information for internal or you can print separately this document for sending to vendor ( fax ) System will not print automatically along PO print out.
