Obsolete notes in SPAU adjustment

Hello All,
I am working on adjusting objects using SPAU in our system. In our system there are plenty of notes those are obsolete now, so was running SPAU on those, there is an option where you can select all the notes and then select "reset all " and then it should reset all the notes but whenever I am trying to do, it's only doing it for one note at one time. So can you please tell me if I am missing anything here.

I solved it myself:
We need to select each note using shift key and hitting F9 every time, this will select the notes that we want to reset. After selecting the desired notes just click on the Reset to original button and just follow from there and this will reset all the selected notes.

What do I do with obsolete notes in SPAU?

Hi all,
Am working on some hotpacks which have been installed by our basis team. There are a lot of note corrections grayed out which indicates they are obsolete. I'm unsure what to do with them. I'm confused because if I was to revert to original then my understanding is I would be reverting back to its state where it had bugs and required a fix. Do I ignore the obsolete notes instead?

What objects will come in SPAU and SPDD?
Ans: All the objects which are modified, after tansporting to the current system,
will be listed in SPAU and SPDD. SPDD contains the list of all modified Data Dictionary objects, like tables, dataelements, domains,view...etc. The rest of all the modified repository objects will be listed in SPAU.
What happens to the modifications done in the older version when we upgrade the version? (with Modification assistant and w/o)
Ans: After the initial upgrade happens, we have to do adjustments from SPAU/SPDD to maintain or reset the changes. That is, from the list of objects in SPAU/SPDD, you have to either carry forward the changes to the new version, by choosing the option ADOPT CHANGES (available on right click) or RESET TO ORIGINAL (available on right click).
Will they come in these transactions?
Ans: yes, they will be listed in these transactions, after the BASIS upgrade activity.
And what if we apply some patches(Notes) to the system? What is the impact of these patches to the SPAU transaction?
Ans: Patches will be supported by the version upgrade. In case of notes, we have to verify whether these notes are supported by the new version (you can go into http://www.service.sap.com/notes to verify this. Also, we have to analyze whther the code in the note is already incorporated in the new version. In this case you can ignore the chanes choosing RESET TO ORIGINAL option

How to remove obsolete oss note from SPAU List

Dear All,
How to remove obsolete oss note from SPAU List. Bocz it having yellow trafic Signal and it is not allowing me to reset to orginal or adopt.
Please tell me how to reolve this problem.

Please mention the Netweaver release of your system.
Next, if you mention the note is obsolete - the traffic light should be grey.
If its yellow, that means semi-automatic adjustment needs to be made.
If you click on the obsolete greyed out note, you get a message saying the note correction was delivered with upgrade or support package and it could be reset.
If you click on the yellow note, the system would try to reapply the note via SNOTE.
Please try either or the above and let us know the system response.

Spau Adjustment with Note Corrections

Hi All,
I am working with SPAU for the forst time, I ran SPAU and under the Note Corrections I found one note with a status of "Yellow color traingle ". When I clicked on this it asked me if I want to change the user on this note and I clicked it yes.... and after that it implemented the note and it went away from the note corrections list under SPAU. So my concern is if this is the right way of doing it or do I need to do something else.
Also I looked for all the notes in SPAU with Yellow lightes and then I looked out for these in SNOTE and found that few of them have the status "can be implemented", some have "incompletely implemented". So i am just wondering what do I need to do in such case.

Yellow status means "SAP says the note is applicable for your system, but I cannot apply everything automatically. There are something you need to apply manually"
SAP Help says
"The system might display note corrections with a yellow traffic light symbol during modification adjustment (transaction SPAU). The correction implemented previously based on a note was overwritten by a Support Package that does not contain these corrections. Note implementation is restarted if you click the yellow traffic light. "
So basically yellow means the note is okay for your system but something is wrong with corrections/modifications. I recommend you look the note in OSS and corrections and compare each correction object after applying the note in SPAU. So you might find somethings should be done manually.
Eventhough yellow notes can be applicable, you can look the note in OSS, then decide not to apply it based on SAP version, support package. So you can choose "Reset to Original" option from toolbar or right click.
One more thing is important to remember when the notes are applied in SPAU, you have a SAP Net (OSS) connections from your system, so SPAU can check the latest version of the note.

HT5252 I tried to change my metadata date and got this Aperture was not able to adjust the date and time of the original file "01769_p_h13ajyrm4bm0944.jpg" because it is locked or you do not have permission to modify it.

What is your Aperture version? The older versions of Aperture 3 had a problem to apply Metadata changes to the original file.
If you are using the current version Aperture 3.4.5, try to repair the permissions on your Aperture library, if you have not already done so:
Launch Aperture with the key combination ⌥⌘ held down and select "Repair Permissions" from the First Aid PAnel, that will appear.
If that does not help, post back with more information on your original files - are the referenced or managed? Where is your Aperture library located? Since when do you have this problem? And what did you do directly before noticed the problem for the first time?

I can't seem to find a way to update the date/time of a master file. There is a format issue but I can't seem to figure out how to correct it.

Not able to adjust date and time - format does not permit

Hello,
I just scanned one old photo as a JPG and then imported it to Aperture 2, I renamed the file 1976-07-01_01.jpg based on the date the pic was taken. Then I tried to adjust the date and time in Aperture but got this error window:
"Unable to adjust master file
Aperture was not able to adjust the date and time of the master file "pic.jpg" because it has a format that does not permit date modification."
What next?

I am having a similar problem. The time is off by 12 hours exactly (ahead). When I touch date and time, screen goes black for less than a second and then reverts to main screen with all of the icons. I have first generation touch and just noticed this problem. All of the software is up to date. Any one know of a fix for this?

Hi,
could you please try to find any blank oject like rectangle/textbox, specially at the lower end of the page. Use Edit -> "Select All" to select everything on the page, it will be easier to locate it.

Make sure you are viewing your image at 100%. At smaller views, pixels and layers and the way they interact are approximate interpolations and won't show you the actual pixel-for-pixel changes.

Not able to adjust screen brightness in Windows 8.1

I m using HP Pavillion N208TX with windows 8.1 64 bit version. i m not able to adjust screen brightness from f2 and f3 button and from the power setting also. when i press these buttons it shows the slider to adjust the brightness on top left corner of the screen but its does not adjust the brightness from low to high. i have already updated the Intel HD Graphic driver sent via link from HP Cust. care. kindly help me on this ASAP...

It looks like you are trying "Adjust Screen Brightness in Windows 8.1" for your Notebook.

Please perform this step as shown below to resolve the issue:
1. Go to Search (point at upper right corner) and type Device Manager. Go there.
2. Expand Display Adapters
3. Right-click Intel(R) HD Graphics and Left-click Disable
4. Restart your computer
Note: Your screen resolution might be distorted now, you can just ignore
5. Go back to Device Manager, Display Adapters
6. Right-click Intel(R) HD Graphics and Left-click Enable
7. Restart again
Note: If at any point your screen goes blank and won't come back, just HOLD DOWN your power button until
the computer shuts down. Then press power again to start up

ChaRM SPAU Adjustements transport on managed system upgrade

Hi,
We are suing ChaRM 7.1 to manage our transports in our ERP 6.0 landscape. That landscape is now being upgraded to EhP7 and we've just completed the upgrade in DEV.
Here's my question; How are we supposed to handle the SPAU Adjustment if we want SUM to automatically move that transport to subsequent systems QA-PROD.
Are we supposed to handle the transport using ChaRM or let the SUM tool process the transport automatically going forward?

Hi Syed,
If the RFC connection from Solution Manager to ERP system connects with the current user, then the user who is performing this step in solution manager is missing the authorization in ERP system.
If the RFC connection is with an RFC user, then check the permissions of the RFC user in ERP system.
You can check which user is accessing the RFC connection in SM59.
S_RFC and S_RFCACL are the auth objects which are missing in ERP system. Provide the access and then check.

Two points for you, Ramis:
1. The mouse-over highlight only works in Intermet Explorer. I use Firefox, and it doesn't work there.
2. When-mouse-enter trigger works in client/server forms, but not web forms. So if you are planning on ever moving to web, using the Current Record VA might be a better idea. Users would just need to click on any item in the record.

SPAU list contains SAP notes with 'Unspecified Adjustment Mode'

I'm just completing an upgrade from 46c to ECC6 and I have reached the SPAU stage. In my list of adjustments all the SAP notes have the status of 'Unspecified Adjustment Mode' with a question mark. I think they should be either green, red or yellow to indicate what to do next. Is there something I need to do to get them into that state?

Seems like for some reason the adjustment mode job didn't finish... to restart it just click on the question mark and that should process it, then you will see a semaphore. the job can take a few minutes.

Hi Valerio,
As we know, all modification of SAP standard will be overwrittten by Upgrade new standard objects. Those objects that have been overwritten will be listed in transaction SPAU and SPDD. So, we have to decide either to RESET or ADOPT MODIFICATION or do nothing.
The following are the impacts for each action:
1. RESET - Object will be reset to original SAP. Once reset, some field value in SMODIFLOG table will be changed. Field 'INACTIVE' value in the table will be set to 'R' meaning RESET. Impact - this object wont be listed again in SPAU or SPDD list in next SP upgrade or version upgrade.
2. ADOPT MODIFICATION - Modification in previous version will be adopted into new objects. Field 'INACTIVE' value will be set to blank meaning that the object is a modification or note correction.
3. Do nothing - the objects or note correction will appear again in next SP or version upgrade.

PhotoShop CC will not play Layer Adjustment Actions Correctly

My computer has PhotoShop CC installed on a brand new Dell Windows 7 computer. Previously I used CS4 and it worked great, but now I'm having issues with CC playing back any Action that has layer adjusments. I'll record an action consisting of an edited layer adjustment such as curves, levels, brightness/conrast, etc., and then when I play it back the layer adjustment applied is the default 0. For instance, here I clicked "Create New Action" and labeled it "Curves Layer TEST":
add a new curves layer adjustment and label it "Brighten":
Then I add a few points to the curve (overly brightened to demonstrate my issue):
then I hit the Stop Recording button. But when I look at the curve values in the Actions box of the very curve layer I just recorded, it says the Preset Kind is Default. Why doesn't it say Custom??? The Properties box read "Custom" as I was editing the curve!
So anyway, I open up my nexy photo and play the Brighten action I just created...
and nothing happens to the image. Oh, it now has a curves layer on top, but it's the Default straight line. What happened to the curve I edited and recorded!!??
What's the deal? This is the same process I used in CS4, CS2 and every other PhotoShop incarnation and it worked fine, until CC. Is this a bug? Or is there a new process to creating layer adjustment actions???

Adobe added the adjustment panel in CS4. Adobe also changed how the action recorded records adding adjustment layers in CS4. Before the Adjustment panel when you clicked on one of the add adjustment layer icons Photoshop would open the adjustment type options dialog window which you would set and commit. When you committed the settings the action recorder would record a single step that added the adjustment layer with the setting you set. After Adobe added the adjustment panel the action recorder records a step Make adjustment layer Adjustment type preset default as soon as you click on the adjustmet type icon. If you then make changes to the settings when you move onto the next Photoshop operation the action recorder records a second step Set current adjustment layer to type preset kind custom and settings. Adobe also introduced many problems with the adjustment panel. The two step recoding can be a problem because it possible to add steps between the two steps and the step set current adjustment layer will fail if the targeted layer was changed by the addition. The adjustment panel also has two options in its fly-out menu the change Photoshop operation. They can break new and old actions that add adjustment layers. For how adjustment layers will get added may not be the way they were added when the action was recorded. These options work more like global Photoshop Preferences actions have no control over. However the options do not alway work like set. So if you try real hard you can record actions that add adjustment layers that will alway work the way you designed your action to work. Adobe does not want to fix these problems. I tried to get Adobe to fix these bugs for years. I have now given up.
