OC4J with Axis2

Hi all!
I've a problem with my oc4j. I'm working in a Ws client & i've to acces on Axis2. When i deploy de service i've this response. On the ORACLE enterprise manager 10g i put all the libs that i need, but in the SOAP response i've got this message error "loader constraints violated when linking javax/xml/stream/XMLStreamReader class". The class javax/xml/stream/XMLStreamReader is in the jsr173_api.jar lib. I've the config similar than this ->http://tardate.blogspot.com/2007/01/axis-revisited-on-oc4j-axis-2.html But everytime i've got the same response.
Help plis Thanks ;)

Hi Zaloa, how are you ?
I found a message in Harri´s Oracle Technology Blog and have the same nickname Zaloa... Is it the same person? :-) (http://kaukovuo.blogspot.com/2008/01/axis2-web-services-container-on-oc4j.html) about deploy file .aar.
If positive, I have the same problem and I prefer use Tomcat... I done this successfully (see: Error in AXIS2 when i try publish ODI web services
Then, what do you have in your case ? You reach only importing wsdl4j1.6.2.jar to be able to see the services wsdl ?
If you have the answer please help me... its confused... And i don´t find any doc about this error.
Thanks for your attention!
Regards,
João.

  • Logging Garbage collector for an OC4J with 2JVM

Hi, I have one OC4J with two JVM setted.
If I put -verbose:gc it logs in the std Output file.
I trying to log the garbage collector in two different file each one for one JVM.
    Anyone as an idea?

Don't create massive amounts garbage memory. It's that simple. You should try to limit the creation of memory inside your animation loop. If there is a process inside the loop that creates memory, there is definitely some way to create that item staticly, rather than allocating new memory with each iteration. There shouldn't be any kind of problem that would involve the creation of THIS much memory, and it's deallocation. If you read about how the garbage collector is implemented, you'll notice that it stores all of it's memory on a single conveyor belt. This is for ALL memory in the program. Therefor once the garbage collector has gone through and marked all of the memory that needs to be reclaimed, it performs it's sweep and must feeze the entire program because that conveyor belt can not be manipulated while it's re-arranging the memory. The garbage collector will eliminate MOST memory leaks, but it does not eliminate any thought on the part of the programmer about memory.

  • Configuring OC4J with webcache

    Hi All,
I have requirement of configuring OC4J with webcache.
I got an OC4J903 standalone server and webcache is seperately installed.
I am able to get the webchacheadmin screen and i am now stuck with how to go ahead.
    looking forward for help.
    thanks in advance,
    Sudha

I assume the Web Cache you have is the 9.0.2.0 standalone. First of all, patch your Web Cache 9.0.2.0 standalone to the latest level you can find on Metalink. This is currently 9.0.2.2bp1 (on Solaris).
(You can use Web Cache 9.0.2.x with OC4J 9.0.3.x.)
Next, follow the steps in the Oracle9iAS Web Cache Administration and Deployment Guide, accessible from OTN. Chapter 6 of this guide is a good place to start, although Parts I and II are useful in their entirety.
Your basic steps are going to be:
    - access the Web Cache Manager admin UI (hostname:4000 is the default); default uname/pwd is administrator/administrator
    - make sure Web Cache is listening on the desired port(s)
    - define a site
    - configure application web server settings (in this case, your OC4J standalone) from which to fetch fresh content
    - configure site-to-server mappings; you can map more than one application server to a site (enables load balancing)
    - configure caching, compression and expiration rules and/or modify your application to use ESI
    - don't forget to apply changes and restart
Still, I would really advise using the manual and online help to get started. It's easy once you grasp the concepts described in the manual.

This one should go to Sun.
Try OC4J with the VM installed with JDeveloper. Also, you might want to try 1.3.1_02 (just to see if that works on your machine)

  • OC4J with SSL

    AOA
i want to know the complete the procedure to configure the OC4J with Digital Certificate.
    Regrads

You must implement SSL using the mod_ssl Module of Apache. OC4J does not support SSL on it's own.
Look for mod_ssl in the apache documentation for further details.

  • Standalone OC4J with SMS Portlet - Error

I have installed the SMS Portlet (downloaded from OTN) onto Standalone OC4J with PDK. However, when I try to login, I get a No route to host error. What values should I set proxyHost and proxyPort to run it from my local desktop.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
actually the error message doesn't point to the problem because its a generic message. The HTML page message is the one you build and modify when creating the Webstart project in JDeveloper.
    The configuration looks okay.

  • SAP wsdls used with Axis2 to generate proxies

    Hello,
I am working on building prototype scenarios using SAP web services. I am using FU2 system.
Please let me know how SAP wsdls could be used with Axis2 to generate the proxies.
Any tutorial on the same would be helpful.
    Thanks,
    Apurv

    Hello Apurv,
I don't know Axis2 but I think by using Basic Auth to retrieve the WSDL File you should be able to create a local Proxy and call the Web Service. Also have a look at <a href="http://www.wso2.net/kb/161">How to configure Axis2 to support Basic, NTLM and Proxy authentication?</a>.

  • Problem with axis2 and Tomcat

    Hello,
I am having a strange problem with Tomcat and axis. I have a webservice that uses axis2 for wsdl2java class generation. When I compile my project in maven a Test is performed. During the test a glassfish server is established and the project is deployed -everything work great with the expected results. However when I try to deploy the webservice on tomcat it has some problems.
At first I tried to call axis code in a POST method that takes a MultiPart message. The code is as below:
    *@Path("identifyWavestream")*
    *@POST*
    *@Consumes(MediaType.MULTIPART_FORM_DATA)*
    *@Produces(MediaType.APPLICATION_XML)*
*public String multipartTest(com.sun.jersey.multipart.MultiPart multiPart) throws Exception {*
*// get first body part (index 0)*
*//tomcat shows that the first error is here (line 122 is the nest one with bodypart)*
    BodyPart bp = multiPart.getBodyParts().get(0);
    BodyPartEntity bodyPartEntity = (BodyPartEntity) bp.getEntity();
    InputStream stream = bodyPartEntity.getInputStream();
*//the rest of the code either saves the incoming file or implements the wsdl2java axis interface - neither works.*
    And the tomcat error is:
    java.lang.IndexOutOfBoundsException: Index: 0, Size: 0
    java.util.ArrayList.RangeCheck(Unknown Source)
    java.util.ArrayList.get(Unknown Source)

    com.sun.jersey.spi.container.servlet.ServletContainer.service(ServletContainer.java:359)
    javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet.service(HttpServlet.java:729)
It was strange to me since this simple approach of handling a Multipart method worked for me earlier. Then I decided skip the handling of multipart method and just call the axis code. But the results also caused an error. I then tried to call the axis code in a simple @GET method (to cross out any issues regarding the multipart) and the result where the same. Again everything works on the maven- glassfish test. In this case the tomcat error is the following:

  • Problem with axis2 and QName class

    Hello,
We have deployed AXIS2 library with a library project (J2EE server component) as it is specify by a SAP guide. We deployed the sda file correctly and we know how to reference this library in Portal Application and J2ee Module WEB or EJB.
The problem is when we want to use internally javax.xml.namespace.QName is thrown an exception. This exception is shown bellow:
java.lang.LinkageError: loader constraints violated when linking javax/xml/namespace/QName class
    at wpt.ConventerStub.populateAxisService(ConventerStub.java:52)
    at wpt.ConventerStub.<init>(ConventerStub.java:100)
    at wpt.ConventerStub.<init>(ConventerStub.java:89)
    at wpt.ConventerStub.<init>(ConventerStub.java:140)
    at wpt.ConventerStub.<init>(ConventerStub.java:132)
    at com.eadscasa.axis2.Axis2Converter.doContent(Axis2Converter.java:26)
In the guide is said that we have to deploy a library project to avoid this problem but we still are getting it. I have realized that Qname class is a basic class into the JDK 1.4 and in different projects as AXIS2 making revision about this class.
How can I deploy these libraries (jars) without dependencies with SAP Portal libraries?
Is there any way to setup the classloader to avoid this error?
In the documentation about this kind of project it is said that you cannot deploy libraries (*.jar) with the same name. I donu2019t know if it happens the same with the class.
We have to develop web Services with Soap 1.2 specification, SAML etc and we need to develop this class because sap portal doesnu2019t support this kind o features.
    Regards,
    Daniel Urbano

    Hi,
Firstly thanks for you reply. I generate the client with wsdl2java tool as it is mentioned in AXIS2 documentation and as you specified in your blog. After I follow the steps:
    Step 1 - Generating the Axis2.war
Step 2 u2013 Modify the service *.aar file
    Step 3 u2013 Create the J2EE library
Step 4 u2013 Create the J2EE application wrapping the web module axis2.war
We know how to make the step 1,2 and 3 but there is a little mess in the last step. Donu2019t worry about this because we got the general idea in this document. According to the guide the main problem is to solve a classloading conflict because it only can be loaded the libraries once and you need the AXIS2 libraries for *.arr and for the axis2 engine to be able to manage this module. This problem it is solved making a J2EE library Project and putting a reference to this library in the module, applications or project, which have to use AXIS2 libraries.
We have 3 different kind of projects that we can develop according to Sap Netweaver:
    J2EE Project:
    ·     Web Module Project: Resulting a war file.
    ·     Enterprise Application Project: Resulting a ear file
    ·     EJB Module Project: Resulting a war file.
    Portal Application
    ·     Portal Application Project: Resulting a par file.
In any project mentioned upper we know how to deploy these with a reference to this library project that previously we deployed successfully in the portal. But the problem is when we are going to check this module running it the server give us an exception.
java.lang.LinkageError: loader constraints violated when linking javax/xml/namespace/QName class
    at wpt.ConventerStub.populateAxisService(ConventerStub.java:52)
    at wpt.ConventerStub.(ConventerStub.java:132)
    at com.eadscasa.axis2.Axis2Converter.doContent(Axis2Converter.java:26)
This exception is because exist classes into the axis2 libraries as javax.xml.namespace.Qname that are in SAP Portal libraries into the J2ee Server (JDK 1.4). This conflict is mentioned in the blog u201C360° View on enterprise SOAu201D where Michael Koegel, the author, says that if you want that AXIS2 libraries works you will have to work around with the dependencies of libraries.
The main problem in this point it is that we donu2019t know how to resolve this dependencies and if it is possible that other module of SAP Portal wonu2019t work fine if we change the base libraries. AXIS2 has newer classes than SAP Portal and it is possible that we can break other SAP Portal functions. In this case if we can not get that AXIS2 and SAP Portal co-exist in the same server we will probably have to change our way to get the enterprise objectives.
In order to resolve these dependencies we have found a SAP Note Number: 1138545. In this note it is said that we can setup the precedence class loader in the visual admin  into the deploy service. If you add your AXIS2 library at the beginning of StandardAplicationReferences variable in the deploy service, it is loaded the axis2 libraries first and it works the services but other portal functionality fails. This variable it is used to load the libraries precedence for all applications in the Server. If we could setup the class load precedence in a web module project or the system doesnu2019t take into account the server libraries for this module it will work perfectly.
If you could specify more the last point of your manual, I will appreciate it.
    Regards,
    Daniel Urbano

  • Command line hangs when starting OC4J with MapViewer

    Hello,
I have a simple development setup with a stand-alone oc4j instance installed via the MapViewer Quick Start Kit, on an 11g database, on a Windows XP workstation.
The problem: When I start the oc4j instance everything seems to start up successfully - the AS Control, the MapViewer EAR, etc.., but the command line window hangs after the last command is executed. It does not return to the command prompt. And if I close the Command Prompt window the oc4j instance automatically shuts down. Any thoughts on why this is hanging? Or is this normal behavior? Thank you. The text of the startup is shown below.
(Oh...and if you have any idea why I am getting a string of [ConverterRule] WARNINGS, please let me know. Thanks.)

  • Weird error message from oc4j with EntityBean

We have an J2EE application written originally to run on Orion 1.4.5.
We have decided to try to port this to oc4j and the version we are using is 1.0.2.2
There is some minor reconfiguration issue but nothing really major.
All the servlet, jsp, and stateless session EJB runs without any problem.
However, all the CMP EntityBean doesn't seem to like their new home.
During deployment, the container will complaints about every single EntityBean with error message like the following:
JavaApplication_EntityBeanWrapper33.java:358: Exception java.sql.SQLException is never thrown in the body of the corresponding try statement.
    catch(java.sql.SQLException e)
JavaApplication is one of our CMP EntityBean and the Wrapper is supposingly created automatically by the container at deployment time.
Has anyone encountered this before? Any work around/solutions?
    Thanks in advance
    Andrew

    gday Andrew -
I believe that this is caused by setting the attribute exclusive-write-access=false in the orion-ejb-jar.xml file for your EJBs.
This is a known OC4J problem: a bug has been logged and it's been fixed here. The next minor release of OC4J will contain the fix for this.
In the meantime as a workaround removing the exclusive-write-access=false attribute from the orion-ejb-jar.xml files for your beans should get you going.
    cheers!
    -steve.
