ODI flatfile to flatfile load interface error

Hi,
I'm trying to load my target (delimited CSV) with data from a source (delimited CSV). I have followed all the steps reverse engineered my datastores(source and target files) Imported knowledge modules and selected sunopsis inmem engine as staging. When I run the interface
I'm getting error in the last integration step which is given below. Please help me with this
ODI-1227: Task Integration fails on the source SUNOPSIS_ENGINE connection MEMORY_ENGINE.
Caused By: java.sql.SQLException: java.lang.RuntimeException: unsupported internal operation: Type unsupported internal operation: Type

I got this fixed. Apparently, my syntax was not correct for a concatenation step. The syntax I'm supposed to use should be in hsql.

  • "UNICODE_IN_DATA" error in ODI 11.1.1.5 data load interface

    Hello!
I am sorry, I have again to ask for help with the new issue with ODI 11.1.1.5. This is a multiple-column data load interface. I am loading data from tab-delimited text file into Essbase ASO 11.1.2. The ODI repository database is MS SQL Server. In the target datastore some fields are not mapped to the source but hardcoded with a fixed value, for example, since only budget data is always loaded by default, the mapping for "Scenario" field in the target has an input string 'Budget'. This data load interface has no rules file.
At "Prepare for loading" step the following error is produced:

Have you changes any of the Hyperion Java Files?
I have not seen this exact error before but errors like this when the KM is not in sync with the Java Files.
Also I always suggest using a rules file.
If you have changed the files, revert back to the original odihapp_common.jar and see if it works, if you have changed the files to get round the issues I described in the blog you should be alright just to have changed odihapp_essbase.jar
This is the problem now with Oracle and all there different versions and patches of ODI, it seems to me they have put effort into the 10.1.3.x Hyperion modules and then in 11.1.1.5 just given up and totally messed a lot of things up.
I hope somebody from Oracle read this because they need to get there act together.
    Cheers

Also, this is first time, I saw this kind of error message.
Appreciate any help or any suggestions to find a resolution. Thanks,

    Hii Priya,
The reasons may be the file is open, the format/flatfile structure is not correct, the mapping/transfer structure may not be correct, presence of invalid characters/data inconsistency in the file, etc.
Check if the flatfile in .CSV format.
You have to save it in .CSV format for the flatfile loading to work.
Also check the connection issues between source system and BW or sometimes may be due to inactive update rules.
    Refer
    error 1
Find out the actual reason and let us know.
    Hope this helps.
    Regards,
    Raghu.

  • ODI....Interface Error

    Hi All,
I am trying to create an XML file from staging tables
I created several interfaces for loading target datastores for the XML which were reverse engineered from a DTD.
The source tables are the staging tables.
All of my interfaces are working except one.
It shows an error while creating a work table....which I think is a temporary table which ODI creates while executing the interface.
the one interface shows an error message

It's a little difficult to understand your problem.
I'm not sure what you meant by "Session got started in ODI but it is still showing me errors in execution". Well, if something is wrong with your Interface that will happen .
From the message you sent, I think that there is some Date or TimeStamp problem happening. You should verify your date fields.

  • ODI-1228: Task SrcSet0 (Loading) fails on the target ORACLE connection

Hi all. I am using ODI for the first time. Trying to import a flat file data into Oracle table.
Flat file has 4 columns Empno,Ename,Deptno,Salary [2 rows]
so is the Target Table in Oracle [All are VARCHAR2 data type] --Empty table
I am using these KMs: CKM Oracle , IKM SQL CONTROL APPEND, LKM FILE TO SQL.
When I execute this Interface, it fails with the following error message:
ODI-1228: Task SrcSet0 (Loading) fails on the target ORACLE connection [Connection_Name]
    Caused By: java.sql.SQLSyntaxErrorException: ORA-00904: : invalid identifier
I checked the Code and Source Code is null , Target Code is: Create Table schema.Load_{table_name} ( )
    With no columns in it.
Can anyone help? I am using Oracle ODI 11G (11.1.1)
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
if i remember well ( i haven't ODI opened) LKM FILE TO SQL. needs to have all mapping done into staging area. Click on a column, check Staging Area symbol (hammer), save and re-execute.
Remember to check that your mapping is enabled (just click on a column, first checkbox in property inspector)
If it doesn't work please make some screenshot or at least post your execution code.

  • ODI vs rule file load

    Hi all,
I would like to know the difference between loading data to essbase directly using rule files from a rdbms or flat file and loading it with the help of ODI.
And using rule files in ODI interface to load data, what kind of performance and efficiency one can attain with it.
    thanks

Using a load rule is definitely the best and fastest way to load data when using a ODI data load interface, the load rule method is native to essbase so is optimised for loading and you also get the added functionality which a load rule provides.
If you don't use a load rule then ODI will use a different Java API method which is not as quick as a load rule especially if there are errors in the source data.
    Cheers

  • How to use RECNUM special field in a file bulk load interface (sqlldr)

    Hi,
I'm trying to load an ordered set of full text lines from a flat file using Sql Loader 11.2 with ODI 11.1.1 bulk LKM (LKM File to Oracle - SQLLDR).
I have to keep track of each line number in a separate target table column NUM_SEQ and feed it with sqlldr RECNUM special field.
I haven't found any other way to do that but to tweak manually the generated sqlldr .ctl control file (bad but it works) :
    NUM_SEQ RECNUM,
    FULL_LINE CHAR(4000)
I've tried to map "RECNUM" as an expression in the map tab of the loading interface but the column itself gets discarded at .ctl generation.
I haven't found any mention of RECNUM in the whole ODI documentation, neither on this forum nor the Web.
Using an internal Oracle sequence in the subsequent steps of the ETL breaks the garantee of ordered lines.
    Any hint ?

You will have to enhance the KM so that this clause gets added to the CTL file each time.
Add an Option to the KM in which you can specify name of the column that you want to act as line_number.
And then in the KM, change the "Generate CTL File" step and add
    *<%=odiRef.getOption("RECNUM") %> RECNUM*
after the call to the <%=odiRef.getColList(" ") %> API
So, this will add the RECNUM column to the list of the columns generated.

The odbc driver doesn't seem to like the special character "$" int eh table name.
Why is the C$ table being created on through the odbc driver. You cannot have non-sql technology for staging. Making the staging area different than target should help in your case.

  • Error while loading services: Failure in Loader: VerifyError: Error #1014

I have a library that, after it loads, I see this error in the console:
Failure in Loader: VerifyError: Error #1014: Class mx.collections::ArrayCollection could not be found.
I had the same problem with another library, except it had a problem with IToken. I got around this problem by changing the default linkage of libraries in build path from external to merge into code. That did not work this time.
Merging Flex libraries into service libraries does not seem to be anything close to the correct way to deal with this. Besides, it didn't some the problem every time.
What is the best way to keep these sorts of dependency errors from arising? The RSLs are included with Web apps, but not with libraries.

    I have found what happened.
I created a library and created a data model within it. I created some entities within the data model. Some of those entities had collections as properties. I created the ActionScript code for the model and the collections were ArrayCollections. I moved the interfaces of the created code to a separate library.
The interfaces need to be changed from using ArrayCollection to IList. I knew enough about that to change it for the service I was trying to bring into my application. I missed another interface that had ArrayCollections as properties and that caused the error.
After cleaning up all of the ArrayCollection references from the interface library my service loaded.
The Hello Gravity video tutorial has a very good explanation on why specific implementations of Flex classes are not used in service interfaces: http://blogs.adobe.com/gravity/2011/09/09/hellogravity-sample-application/

all of a sudden, one of my Macs cannot connect to our server due to this error in the Console:

This is on a MacPro running 10.6.4 - rebooting this computer didn't help.
My searches on Google regarding this message didn't pull results related to connecting to a server.
The error appears when in the Finder and you type Command + K or if you select Go in the menu and then select "Connect to Server". The "Connecting to Server" window does appear but it just sits there like it's trying to connect to our server. The login window should appear but it doesn't.
This happens both with AFP and SMB - it never connects and that error message i posted shows up in the Console whenever I attempt to connect.
    Any ideas?

I would recommend the usual basic troubleshooting:
    1) Repair Permissions in Disk Utility, then reboot.
    If that doesn't work,
    2) Re-apply the latest Combo Update in safe mode (boot while holding shift).
