ODI XML data server error while creating External databse tables.

Hi,
i am trying to create External database tables using XML data server.
i am getting the following error,i have done this same thing for small xml files before.
Java.sql.SQLException: ORA-00904: : invalid identifier

With no details of how you configured the XML server, what were the parameters used in the configuration for using external database, etc, I dont know how much can someone help you.
This is an Oracle error, so a few things that could be problematic with your "big" xml -
1.) An element name could be of length > 30 characters (Oracle table name length limit is 30)
2.) There are some special characters in the element name
3.) Element name begins with a Number
4.) Element name is an Oracle reserved word.
This list can go on.

Error while creating the DWH tables using DAC

I am getting error while creating the DWH tables using DAC. I have created a ODBC DSN using merant driver with DAC repository DB credentials and the test connection is successful. And while creating the tables i gave the olap dw credentials and the DSN name which i created earlier. But it throws the error as below:

The fact that you are getting an "ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied" message indicates that you are at least talking to the database.
The log shows that username "infdomain" is being used. Can you double check the username and password you have in DAC in a SQL*Plus/SQL Developer session?

Error while Creating External definition with WSDL file

Hi ALL,
I need to create a External defination with a WSDL file in PI 7.1.so i selected the Option WSDL & From all available message defination while creating External defination & imported the WSDL file.
I am getting an error

Hi Tony,
Somehow I solved this issue. I dont remember what exactly I did, as it was sometime back in December. I think I used the Wizard initially to do the configurations in Solution Manager and again i tried to do the same manually as the earlier one threw some errors.
It seems the wizard proceeded half-way through and hence the entry was made in the database already and hence that error.

"Invalid extract structure template MBEWH of DataSource "; This operation failed, because the template structure quantity fields or currency fields, for example, field LBKUM refer to a different table.
Can anyone help me that why system is not allowing me to generate generic datasource for table MBEWH to transfer my month wise inventory data.

      This was comming for classification data... when ever you want to extract some classification related data then we can't create generic datasources directly.. for that you need to go with CTBW ( tcode ) and   create one datasource...
   so, you need to check that   related table also.. for that MBEWH table..
    ALL THE CLASSIFICATION RELATED DATASOURCES WE CAN'T CREATE DIRECTLY... JUST LIKE AUSP table also.. liek this..

You are missing something. Most probably the file does not exists in your specified path. This is working in my 10.2.0.3

500 Internal Server Error while creating expense trip

We have recently applied the following patches in the system:
SAP ESS 600 SP13
SAP MSS 600 SP13
SAP PCUI_GP 600 SP13
Now we are getting the following 500 internal server error on clicking 'Save and Send' while creating Expences from the portal.
The error is happening to a few users in the live system. We are not able to re-create error in the Dev or qas environment. There is no ST22 dump for this error.

Hi Pinky,
This error might be due to some data error.
Complete all ur process steps just before "save and send" button.
You activate the trace using transaction ST01 (only RFC checkbox checked).
Now press "save and send" button. Go to ST01 session and switch the trace off and click on "analysis". it will give you the RFC's which are executed on predd of "save and send" button. apply break point in these RFC and check if it is filling any exporting parameter for error messages. Then try to get root cause of error. most of the time RFC error message on portal comes in the form of a dump.

Error while creating external alias for BSPs & DMS

The error dump I have received is "ITAB_DUPLICATE_KEY"
"A Row with same key already exists"
The error has ocurred in the program "RSICFTREE".
I am getting this above described error while navigating to the "Target Element" tab.

ODI Demo Data Server Error

Hi.
I'm running the ODI Demo Environment. I'm trying to create a Data Server using settings:
JDBC driver: oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver
JDBC URL: jdbc:oracle:thin:@localhost:1521:XE
but I got the error:
java.sql.SQLException: Io exception: The Network Adapter could not establish the connection

No, I haven't tried yet. I can't locate the database since I don't have installed Oracle DB on my server because I'm using only the demo environment provided with ODI install.
According with the guide, I have to create a new Data Server ORACLE_XE_LOCAL on an instance XE with USR:ODI and PWD:ODI, and the JDBC driver and URL I've mentioned before, but I get this error.
Am I missing something?

do it in command prompt.
change the drive letter ...where u install the sapdb.
D:\odbcreg LiveCache -i -p d:\sapdb\programs\pgm
it will prompt that LIvecache is registred. Restart the server.
then check in control panel...

Error while creating Cross-reference table using Xreftool (PIP Ins)

Error while running xref.sh script unable to create cross reference table.
**Error: Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: oracle/tip/xref/tool/AdminTool**
Could not find xref directory within tip folder (/OracleAS_1/bpel/docs/workflow/oracle/tip)
searched for similar issue in OTN it says issue fixed by upgrading Oracle AS, we are using 10.1.3.4 MLR#8

Creating Cross-Reference Tables
Complete the following procedure to create cross-reference tables.
To create cross-reference tables
1 Navigate to the following directory:
%SOAHOME%/SiebelODOPPIP/scripts/
2 Open the following file for editing:
xref.sh
3 Set the userid and passwd for logging into BPEL console on the appropriate lines.
4 Set the correct SOA_HOME location on the appropriate line.
5 Save and close the file.
6 Make the file executeable:
chmod +x xref.sh
dos2unix xref.sh
7 Change directory (cd) to integration/esb/bin under %SOAHOME%.
8 Execute ../../../SiebelODOPPIP/scripts/xref.sh.
I am using SOA suite 10.1.3.3 and getting same error
