  • Photosmart C4599 w. iMac OS 10.6.8 won't print. Error message "pipe broken" gone; still wont print

    Printer would not print. The error message: "Pipe broken. printer cartridges can't move, Open door and release cartridges."  However, when I opened the door they moved to the left and out of sight; I didn't see a broken pipe. When I closed the door, they moved back to the right.  Did this several times, installed a new black cartridge because mine was low, got a message to align printer, which I did.  Printer printed the alignment sheet, which I then scanned in and learned alignment was OK.  Printer still did not print although error message had disappeared. Then I followed all of the steps in HP's troubleshooting support (all of which I'd done on my own before) Got a message Printer Ready, but printer still doesn't print.  I tried some other files too, in case that one was corrupted in some way.
    I just tried again - with a new file.No success.  New error message: Unable to connect with printer; will try in 30 seconds.  All lights on the printer are fine, including the wireless light.
    Can someone help?  Many thanks.

  • Print an error message (HR)

    I want to print an error message when some conditions take place so I don't want to allow a save procedure in that case ( sy-ucomm = 'UPD') but when the conditions are checked and all are fullfilled and the user presses the save button, the message is not printed and the program returns to control program and it saves the data.
    how to do it ?

    hi
    good
    have you created any message that you want to display after user press the save button.
    if yes than use call that message type after you pressing the save button,
    if not than create the message type as
          MESSAGE MESSAGENAME.
    and call that particular message type after the save button you ll get the approprite message.

  • Does not print the error message at my behest???

    I have a program which works but I want to give appropriate error handling to the user of application.
    So basically a simple html page asks for servername, username and password and this is passed onto this .jsp page.
    When the correct servername, username and password is entered program is okay but when for example incorrect servername is given it does not print the error message at my behest???????
    Here is a ftp page:
    <!-- processftplogin.jsp -->
    <html>
    <head>
    <title> FTP Login </title>
    </head>
    <body>
    <%@ page import= "ftp.* " %>
    <jsp:useBean class="ftp.FtpBean" id="ftpbean" scope="session" />
    <%      try
               String servername = request.getParameter("servername");
               String username   = request.getParameter("username");
               String password   = request.getParameter("password");
               ftpbean.ftpConnect(servername, username, password);
            catch(Exception e)
               out.println("There has been an error with logging into system");
               out.println("please check Servername");
               out.println("Please check username");
               out.println("Please check password");
    %>
    <h1> You have successfully logged in. </h1>
    </body>
    </html>Why does it print:
    Error: 500
    Location: /myJSPs/jsp/grid-portal-project/processftplogin.jsp
    Internal Servlet Error:
    javax.servlet.ServletException
         at org.apache.jasper.runtime.PageContextImpl.handlePageException(PageContextImpl.java:460)
         at jsp.grid_0002dportal_0002dproject.processftplogin_2._jspService(processftplogin_2.java:120)
    instead of:
    There has been an error with logging into system
    Please check Servername
    Please check username
    Please check password

    man do one thing
    first tell me the book u are using for JSP.
    cos even i would like to purchase.
    u mailed me before
    but this time make a good description
    of your project write it in a file
    then zip it along with your project
    source(if possible)...
    then in that project report
    also give the description of using the JSP tomcat
    and all (cos i dont know for windows...or linux)
    this will be all...

  • Did recent recommended update cause incompatibility with HP printer, causing error message and printer to print blank pages?

    did recent recommended update cause incompatibility with HP printer, causing error message and printer to print blank pages?

    Why not contact HP tech support for assistance since they make the printer. While on their site you can look for an updated printer driver. Otherwise, try deleting the current installed driver, reset the print system, then reinstall your printer's driver.

  • Officejet Pro 8600 Premium won't print cardstock - error message of "out of paper" appears

    My printer won't print cardstock, the error message says "out of Paper".  I have tried 3 different types of cardstock and it won't accept any of them.  It will print on plain paper.  Is this machine defective?  HELP...URGENT
    I must be able to print cardstock.  The computer was just set up today...it is brand new and purchased directly from HP.

    After trying a lot of different things, for some God-only-knows reason, this is the trick that worked for me. This is really more of a hack than a true fix, but I'm not picky when it's 2 AM and I don't have any other options:
    (1) In the paper tray, alternate one sheet of the cardstock paper with one sheet regular plain paper. Make sure the tray is full, but not over-full. (This HP help article says not to do that but... whatever.)
    (2) In the Print dialogue box (however you can get to it) select the "Plain Paper" preset (not "thick paper" or "cardstock"). I had it on "Best" as you can see it the screen shot, but I don't think this is important.
    (3) I only had a single-page document, which I needed to print 30 copies of, so I inserted a blank page as a second page in the document file (a pdf).
    (4) I then made sure "Collate" was selected in my print settings.
    If you have a multi-page document, maybe you will need to insert a blank page every other page... which sounds like a pain, and I feel for you.
    Note: You'll need to monitor the printing closely - if ever the printer pulls two pages through instead of one, you'll need to pull the paper tray out and add a piece of paper so it's alternating correctly.
    With this, I was able to print multiple copies without ever stopping. After a full day of fighting with the printer (which may or may not have included sacrifices of limbs under a full moon to the printer gods... just kidding) this was like magic.
    Hope this works for you - or other people who read this thread. This is a really frustrating situation.
    PS. Before I did this, I also did a full reset of the printer, which included:
    1. Turning off the printer and unplugging it for a full minute
    2. Printing 100 blank pages
    I have no idea if this helps, but if this hack isn't working for you, this "reset" is worth a try.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8610 fax error message

    Good morning.  I have two Officejet Pro 8610s.  One is in my office running MS Office 7, the other is at home running Mac.
    To conserve power I have both printers set to turn off in the evenings.  Neither is being used as a fax machine and neither has ever had the phone cord plugged in.
    On both printers I am consistently getting the error message "Telephone cord is connected. To receive faxes, the printer must be turned on.  Note that the printer is scheduled to be turned off at XX:XX every (days listed).  To change the schedule, use the Schedule On and Off feature in the Setup menu."
    Almost everytime I go to make copies or initiate a scan from the printer I have to click "OK" for this error.  The error also pops up about every 30 minutes and makes a ding.   This wouldn't be annoying at all except the printer is positioned next to my left ear and I"ve been listening to it for six months.
    How do I stop these messages, aside from removing the scheduled turn off and on?
    Thanks in advance for the assistance.

    Hello @drummer12345 ,
    Welcome to the HP forum.
    I understand that you are getting a fax error message form your two 8610's. I would like to help you with this issue.
    I find it odd that you get this message. You mentioned that you have never set the unit up for fax.
    Please take a moment and make sure that no cords are plugged into the Fax ports on the printer.
    If there are none, go into the setup menu.
    Once in the setup menu, select the fax setup option.
    Go into the advanced fax setup option.
    scroll to the bottom of the list and select restore defaults.
    If that does not work try a hard reset.
    With the printer powered on, unplug the power cord.
    Wait at least 30 seconds.
    Plug the power cord back into the printer.
    If this was happening to just one printer, I would believe this to be a firmware issue.
    For this to happen to both your printers, I  get a feeling it could be something related to the printers environment.

  • Print head error message

    Tried printing and get an error message "Print head error". Tried the turn off - unplug for 60 s - turn on again, same problem. Printer was working well before, all cartridges original HP (never used anything else). Also tried taking out the cartridges and re-inserting them carefully. Using the cartridge clean option in config doesn't seem to work (nothing seems to happen). Printer is connected by local network cable, diagnostics from the PC give same result.Please help?

    , Welcome to the HP Forums  I read about the "Printhead" error you're facing on your Officejet 6830, and wanted to reach out. I saw that you had tried a power reset, reseating the cartridges, and running a cartridge/printhead clean, to no avail.  As you have tried the steps for a printhead problem, next please consider contacting HP directly, to discuss your next printer options. Step 1. Open link: www.hp.com/contacthp/
    Step 2. Enter Product number or select to auto detect
    Step 3. Scroll down to "Still need help? Complete the form to select your contact options"
    Step 4. Scroll down and click on: HP contact options - click on Get phone number

  • I have a Lexmark x5150 printer, getting error message Prop Res DLL not located when trying to print, just in Black. Contacted Lexmark, determined the Problem is Firefox 4.3 doesn't support this feature, although my browser internet explorer does.

    I print shipping labels through Paypal, I want to print just in black ink, but when I use the Lexmark properties to change the printing to just black, getting message Prop Res DLL not located. Spent some time with Lexmark Chat to try and find out what I needed to do to fix this. As they walked me through a couple of things to try, one was to go to Internet Explorer, found I could do the necessary printing, with no problems of getting that error message. So it appears the problem is with Firefox 4.3

    See this thread: <br />
    https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/816333?s=Prop+Res+DLL+not+located&as=s
    Surprising that Lexmark wasn't aware of a problem with their drivers that is not exactly new, or restricted to Firefox. <br />

  • Cannot add printer- get error message.  LaserJet 1200

    I recently bought a dual powered MacBook. It was working perfectly, and finding my printer both attached by USB, and wirelessly. It shows up as Bonjour LaserJet 1200. Suddenly, it stopped working, and cannot be added to the printer list. I get an error message,"client error message too long", or some other nonsense. I have several other computers, running OS X, and none of them have any problem sharing the printer, which is connected to an Airport Extreme remote base station. I have tried everything, and come up with no success. So eventhough the printer is recognized, with its address, and is sharable, it suddenly and without cause, cannot be added to the printer list, and thus I cannot print. Any suggestions. Peter
