I got my iphone last year and It was working just fine until June of this year and I didn't notice it until I tried plugging my iphone into my computer to get more songs on it. Error message came up saying that it was unable to backup iphone because an error occurred. So I did some research and tried to delete old backups and restore to the last one. After all that it still won't back up and some of my apps just don't work, thought the new ios would help but it did not. Everything works fine its just that I want to be able to back my phone up and I haven't been able to sync June. Any help would be appreciated.

Overwrite mapping in design repository with the last one deployed

We have a Single Design Environment with 2 runtime environnment (Dev, Prod). When I log in the Dev Control Center, I see there is a mapping "changed". It has been changed by an employee who don't work here anymore and I have no clue what have been changed.
There is no specific request or obvious reason for that change, and since it's a huge and conplex mapping, I would like to overwrite (or "rollback") the mapping in the design environnment with the last one deployed in Production.
But I don't know how or if it's possible..! At least if I could compare the 2 version, I could tell if the change is good or not.
To me, it's a showstopper for incoming modifications..
There is no Snapshot and i'm using OWB 10gr2 since 1 month now, so all of these is new to me.
I really need help on this one...!

one onerous way to do this is
take the mdl exports of the mapping from both envs. Try opening them in an xml/html text editor(notepad++ for eg)
If they look like they are encrypted, try renaming the .mdl file to .zip( I can do this in 11g and what this gives me is a .xml file and a .mdx file which can be viewed in an xml editor)
You can then possibly do a text comparison to find if anything is obviously different.

You can send it to someone you know in the US to have them take it in for service or you can get on a plane and take it there yourself. You can not ship it to Apple in the US for service.

My E71 didn't startup after the last update!

I updated my E71 today. This isn't my first time. What happened today as usual after completing the update. It says startup your phone. I tried several times but it didn't startup the only thing is gives is the keypad light, it turn on like twice then it stopped.
If any one can help me in this I would be grateful.

With all these operations I recommend you TAKE OUT MEMORY CARD and DO A BACK UP OF YOUR STUFF!!!

hard reset - hold the following buttons *, 3 (number button) and talk/green key. turn on the phone and do not release those buttons until you see the Nokia boot up screen. once you feel the phone power up you can let go off the power button while still holding all three buttons ( for Nokia 5800XM - use the following buttons to do a hard reset, GREEN/RED/CAMERA keys pressed all at once on power up. this will only work on 5800's that have firmware version 20... and up. ) For Nokia N97 (unofficial version but works) is SHIFT /SPACE BAR / BACKSPACE while holding the power button. Again do not let go until you see the handshake screen.

Where would you expect to retrieve those deleted message if you didn't backup your phone?

I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the item that is not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the entry, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" link next to the item.
(Not entirely sure what happens after you click that link, but fingers crossed it should be relatively straightforward.)

Unfortunately, if these photos had not been transferred off the phone in some way, before restoring from the previous backup, they are now gone.
Did you have iCloud's Photostream feature setup? If so, they may have been uploaded to that.

I have the Ebert movie review app. But the last issue didn't complete its print.

This is a D110 printer attached wirelessly to a Mac Mini (OS X 10.6) and a MBPro (OS X 10.7).
The last delivery over the internet of the Ebert movie review package apparently came when the Mini was printing l long-ish job. That job completed just fine, but the Ebert only printed a few lines on the top of a single sheet.
Is is possible for me to request a re-delivery? Seems reasonable . . . .

Might have a hardware issue that was caused by the minor liquid spill.
Take it to Apple to have them look at it. I think they do a free diagnostics. That way you can find out what's wrong with your MB.

So here we are. Approximately two weeks before the end of the year and confirmation hits that AT&T is rolling out 4.3 to their Note 2 customers while "the best" hasn't even given an idea of when (or even if) we will get it. Not only has the customer service been EXTREMELY upsetting at the lack of any kind of communication, but as a loyal Verizon Wireless customer for almost 10 years I feel completely disappointed to continue to send my very hard earned money to a company that doesn't have the decency to address the comments and concerns of the very people that bring it profit and business. Don't get me wrong, my phone works fine, and I still love it, but the ENTIRE reason I spent $300 on the Gear was that the Note 2 showed as compatible at Best Buy. It isn't though is it? And any discussion of alternate methods of getting 4.3 on the forums is met with a strict moderation team that won't take the time to answer our questions but is all too willing to take the time to moderate and remove posts.
Here's an idea: maybe help us instead of making Verizon look any more one sided than it already does. Maybe at the very least point us in the right direction to find information ourselves. It is clear Verizon did a splash test of 4.3, because if they didn't then hackers would not have made it available already (which is extremely sad that unpaid hackers work faster than a multi billion dollar company.
I know it won't get us anywhere, but I am filing a report with the BBB about the poor customer service from Verizon as well as the lack of clarity when it came to compatibility with the Gear. This lack of transparency borderlines on false advertising.
For Verizon to even think it is the best is appalling and sad. You are the last to roll out an update; behind US Cellular, Sprint, AT&T, and even hackers. This blinding speed we are seeing has made me decide to not pursue my business lines with Verizon, nor shall my home be getting FiOS for Christmas as originally planned. At the end of my contract date I will not be renewing my contract. I have had it with the disservice and lies from Verizon.

Well for starters all carriers got the 4.3 updates in july 2013, they (Samsung) released the SIII recently with the current Vs of android. it's a new fone like the Note 3, thing is if they would simply release the 4.3 to the note 2, it is very capable of doing the same thing as the note 3 without having to buy a new fone to use with the Gear. ohhh and Android has now released the 4.4 and the 5.0 will be out end of Jan to early Feb. the issue is everyone else has been updated yet Verizon is way way behind. I for one am willing to pay verizon's higher price BUT I expect to have the latest technology available to me in a timelt manner so for a multi billion dollar company to lag 6 month in releasing a simple update is a good question
As for you not needing or wanting an update for your phone thats your business you might not be into new things or technology but some of us do and we do pay for the services thus we have every right to make issue. these updates are given to the carriers well in advance of a new phone or gadgets (at least 6 months prior) are designed by the Manufacturers to make the fones work better and add some new programs. i do agree the only way to make a real impact is to go to a carrier that does meet our needs and demands I for one am doing so and i would gladly pay the early disconnect fee to get what i want..

Problem with JFMERGE using the last set of data on all form sets

b Here is the scenario...
I have a file of data in character delimited format. Each record needs to produce the same set of forms. I used the Visual Transformation Editor to define the field nominated data file, including the ^form statements. The transformation agent processes the file of multiple records just fine. I get a file from JFTRANS that contains the set of data & form statements repeated for each record in the file.
Great so far.
b Here is the problem...
Unfortunately, the print agent is repeating the same set of data on every copy of the set of forms that is printed. It uses the data from the last set of forms to be printed.
b Additional information...
For ease of building the field nominated file by our custom client program we have standardized on using GLOBAL fields. Therefore, our DAT files contain all the ^global declarations with all the necessary ^form statements at the end. I used the transformation editor to build the same type of file. Therefore the file going to the print agent looks like:
^global name1
data1
^global name2
data2
^form form1
^form form2
^global name1
newdata1
^global name2
newdata2
^form form1
^form form2
The printed result puts "newdata1" & "newdata2" on both sets of form2. Strangely, the correct data values are showing up on both sets of form1.
The only difference between the two forms is that form1 is not defined with the fields as global where form2 does define them as global. I removed the global flag from form2 but that didn't change anything.
I think I know what is occurring. JFMERGE is putting the data elements into the global dictionary and when the same name is in the file the latest data value ends up in the dictionary (thus all the forms print using the last data put into the dictionary). I certainly didn't expect this. I thought it would load the dictionary and print the first set of forms, then reload the dictionary and print the next set of forms. At least that is the way I see it occuring based on the order of things in the DAT file. Based on what is occuring it appears that JFMERGE reads the whole DAT file, building the dictionaries and then processes all the ^form statements.

It looks like using a fixed record format might do the trick but that isn't an option at this time. As things are right now it looks like I'm going to have to take the data file apart, and make lots of files with one line of data per file.
I have a time deadline to get this printed so if there isn't a way to make JFMERGE operate as I expected it looks like I'll be doing this by hand. Fortunately, there are only 250-300 data lines. Future jobs could have thousands of data lines so if there isn't a way to do it with a multi-line data file I'll have someone create a program for splitting the original file up (and adding the ^job line).

We don't use subforms so some of what you suggest isn't effective for us. Our forms are a duplication of the paper forms and are not dynamic. We design each form separately and our custom filler software (that builds the DAT file) uses a database with the required forms for each print job defined within it. Since we don't have subforms, our simple method of printing is to declare as GLOBAL all the unique fields used on all the forms to be printed followed by the ^form commands. It was a simple & straightforward method for us to do better than 500 print jobs over that past couple of years. In addition, our custom filler software can easily build the DAT files. Because I need to manually declare all the ^form statements my experience with using ^field is that the form must be declared followed by the appropriate field commands (repeat for all the forms). i <many hours later I continue typing this post> Taking the original Transformation Definition File and customizing it for how things need to be when using ^field commands was a time consuming experience (and a learning one). It did the job as I needed but it is an experience I don't want to repeat. There has got to be a better way of building the TDF properly. I'm definately leaning towards a program to split the file into multiple files. Here is what I went through... I did all the editting using Notepad. I changed all ^global to ^field. Then I had to remove the #comment lines. Next was to find any references to fields that had to be global to the top and chang ^field to ^global. Then it was moving the fields around so they were underneath the appropriate ^form statement. Then, since one of the forms was multi-page I had to add the ^page command and sort the fields so they were under the correct page. That was followed by duplicating fields that are used on multiple forms or multiple pages. Then I discovered that the print agent won't do ^page unless "inline processing" is turned off (I did not want to specify the page name as it could change over time) - so I added "^inline off" in front of every ^page. Finally it was removing unecessary field references so the log file would be clean. For those that are interested, the following is an example of my final file. ^global nameA data ^global nameB data ^form nameX ^field name1 data ^field name2 data ^form nameY ^field name1 data ^field name3 data ^inline off ^page ^field name4 data ^field name1 ^inline off ^page ^field name5 data ^field name6 data
