OIM RACF Advancd Connector 9.1.0.14

Hi ,
Anyone has done OIM10g + RACF connector implementation?

In the Pioneer log, when I send a reconciliation request from LDAP Gateway, I have the message: 'IRX0408E Exec member name must not specified when exec load DD refers to e sequential data set'
I tryed to manually submit reconciliation job, normally submitted by Pioneer via internar reader, and I have not this error
Can you tell me if in the Pioneer procedure the SYSEXEC DD statement will point to library whith original Oracle Rexx CLIST provided with connector package or not?
thank you
fabio

Funny.... the documentation that came with the connector have different steps than the on found on oracle website.
3.3 Deploying the Reconciliation Agent and Provisioning Agent
To deploy the Reconciliation Agent and Provisioning Agent:
Extract the contents of the following file from the installation media to a temporary directory:
    etc/Provisioning and Reconciliation Connector/Mainframe_RACF.zip
Transmit the following files to the IBM z/OS computer:
    clist.xmi
    jcllib.xmi
    linklib.xmi
    parmlib.xmi
    proclib.xmi
You can transmit the files either through FTP or IND$FILE on a TN3270 emulator. The files must be transmitted in binary format.
The output files are in JES2 XMIT format. The output file names can be, for example:
    IDF.CLIST.XMIT
    IDF.JCLLIB.XMIT
    IDF.LINKLIB.XMIT
    IDF.PARMLIB.XMIT
    IDF.PROCLIB.XMIT
The file attributes are as follows:
    RECFM=FB
    LRECL=80
    BLKSIZE=3120
    DSORG=PS
Log in to the TSO environment of the mainframe.
Expand each of the uploaded XMIT files by running TSO Option #6 and then running the RECEIVE INDA('XMIT_FILE_NAME') command. The output is the following files:
    IDF.CLISTLIB
    IDF.JCLLIB
    IDF.LINKLIB
    IDF.PARMLIB
    IDF.PROCLIB
In TSO, edit the CREATDSN member and modify the MVS job card to match DataCenter job card standards. Modify VOL=SER=?????? so that the value is the VOL=SER disk volume in which the datasets are to be placed.
TSO submit the CREATDSN member to IBM z/OS. Verify that the return code (RC) for completion is 0000.
Ensure that the //SYSPROC statement of REXXCL points to IDF.CLISTLIB, which is the library that contains the CLISTs required by the LDAP Gateway for running batched reconciliation.
Verify that the job card is correct for the installation.
TSO submit the IDCAMSC and REXXCL members to IBM z/OS. Verify that the return code for completion is 0000.
If the ICHPWX01 and ICHRIX02 exits do not exist, then run IEBCOPYL. This copies the LOGPWX01 and LOGRIX02 exits to a new or existing library that is defined in the LPA in IEASYSxx.
If the ICHPWX01, ICHRIX02, or IRREVX01 exit exists, then the LOGPWX01, LOGRIX02, and LOGEVX01 exits must be called as described in Section 3.5, "Installing or Integrating the Reconciliation Agent Exits."
Copy the started tasks and procedures to a new procedure library or an existing library. To do so, review and if required modify the IEBCPYPR member so that it conforms to installation standards. Then, TSO submit the member and verify that the return code for completion is 0000.
Review IEBCOPYP and determine whether the product LINKLIB (IDF.LINKLIB) is APF-authorized at IPL. If it is not APF authorized, then run the IEBCOPYP member.
Similarly, review IDF.PARMLIB member = PROG75. This is the dynamic member for IRREVX01, and it is required for real-time reconciliation. If it is not APF authorized, then run this member.
In the installation running IEASYSxx, verify that the IEFSSNxx member pointed to by the IEASYSxx parameter SSN= has the following defined:
    SUBSYS SUBNAME(RACF)
    INITRTN(IRRSSI00) INITPARM('#')
This is required because the Provisioning Agent uses the R_Admin RACF service call through the IRRSEQ00 module. Without it, the Provisioning Agent fails.

    1. Down loaded the RACF ADV connector from oracle site
2.Unzip this folder and copied into OIMHOME\ConnectorDefaulFactory
3.Login to OIM web console using "xelsysadm" user and tried to install the RACF ADV connetor
Result: We got "system error was encountered, conatact system administrator" on web console itself.
Then after, we loged in again and checked the install connector page thru webconsole, there isno one connector is displayed in the Connector combo box list.

    Hi Kevin,
    Thanks for your reply,
We are trying to install the RACF Advanced Connector in OIM.After copying Connector to the ConnectorDefaultDirectory in OIMSERVER , we are trying to install the connector from the OIMAdmin Console. We are able to see the RACF connector version in the dropdown box, when we click on the Load button we are getting the SystemError Page.
Please let us know if there are any prequisites we need to take care before installing the connector,we dodn't find anything on this in the connector documentation.
Please help us to install the RACFAdvanced Connecttor
    Thanks,

  • RACF Standard connector "LookupField Target File" parameter

    Hi!
I'm configuring RACF Standard connector (Release 9.0.4.12). and im not an expert in RACF so i need some specification regarding the file used as parameter "LookupField Target File" in the " Scheduled Tasks for Lookup Field Synchronization". In other words i need to know if the file to be created into RACF must be like SYSTMDAT , which has a length 80 and record format Fixed Block. Or it must be Variable Blocked?.
    Thanks and Regards.

Well this file InitialLoginSequence.txt contains all the commands in a proper sequence which is equivalent to opening a emulator window in the interactive mode. So for example:
    1) When I open the window first, I see the following prompt -> *@@@@* & it waits for a Application Name
    Hence the first text in my file would be Wait(@@@@);
& for your case, this is not true, so you can skip it.
    2) Then I need to pass in application Name. so lets say xyz
Hence the string to be followed would be *Send(xyz[enter]);*
    3) Then I wait for the prompt to throw next question. Let's say it shows ENTER USERID.
    Now, the string would be Wait(ENTER USERID);
    4) Then I enter my User ID.i.e. *Send(myuserid[enter]);*
    5) Then Prompt Password.i.e. *Wait(Password);Sendmask(${Password}[enter]);* and so on.
For your case what do you see as prompt after the company Logo. That would be your first string. If it is Userid then try to do like below:
    Wait(Userid);Send(myracfuser[Enter]);Wait(Password);Sendmask(${mypassword}[enter]);Wait(Command ===>);Send(TSO50[Enter]);Wait(IKJ56700A ENTER USERID);Send(myracfuser[Enter]);Wait(Password===>);Sendmask(${mypassword}[enter]);Wait(***)
    Thanks

    Hi,
I have installed the AD password synchronization connector 9.1.1. to Windows 2003 SP2 server successfully. When I reset the users password I can see from the 20091217OIMMain.log file the following errors:

Where is this searchResponce log file? I tried to see all the Windows log files, which has been updated after my password reset, but none of them has any errors which makes sense or the time would match. Also in 20091216043_PasswordChange.log everthing seems to go okay.
SPML web service is deployed and up and I can hit that URL from my machine. I don't get any printouts to the OIM log file.
    Any ideas...? Thanks a bunch!
    -J-

    1. Check your ports, make sure they are open.
    2. For password sync you'll need to have SSL certificates configured so AD, OIM and the connector can talk securely. Make sure the proper keystore is used and certificate is present on all 3 (the connector includes the guide to install them)
With the above I got my connector working to this point. Hope that helps.

  • "OIM Database Application Connector" is Recon the same user many times!

    Hey,
I am facing an interesting issue that my OIM Database Application Connector is reconning (Creating) the same user many times.
I have created/configured the "OIM DB Application Connector" which should Recon the new user in to OIM when ever new user created in the database via portal. I scheduled the connector every 15 min. The connector is working as expected and creating new OIM user if any new user has created in the DB table.
Issue here is: I have created one user in the table which has reconed to OIM and I can see the entry in design console Recon Manager table. After 15 min when connecotr is run it is picking up the same user. So it is picking the same user every time it runs!!!. It stops picking the user after some time, but dont have exact time when it stop picking the user. But I could see min 25+ times same user and all the time the status is EVENT LINKED. Any idea please why it is happening. My matching criteria is Time Stamp Attribute: "Updated_By_Sysate" & Unique Attribute = "User_ID".
    My Env:
    OIM Version: 9101
    Server : Weblogic
DB : SQL Server 2005 (Source DB)
    Any idea please?
    thanks
    kln

    1) Yes, you should add in your resource object all fields that are defined in xel_data_source parameters of config.xml file.
    2) Correct. You have to create a user defined field in your form designer and map it to a column in your process definition (reconciliation field mapping tab).
    3) Reconciliation rule is the rule that OIM use to link Database users and OIM users. You need to create a recon rule using an attribute who has the same value in both systems. Also, you need to define this rule in your config.xml file (see how to configure reconcile tasks in connector documentation). So, this attribute used in your recon rule must be required because it will be used to create or link users. You can define any other fields as required, but if one of these required fields are not filled, you will receive a "Required Data Missing" error in your reconciliation manager event.
    4) Reconciliation is used to update OIM with changes made directly in your database table. To update your database table based on OIM changes, you must modify an user attribute in your UD_DBAPP user's form.
    Regards.

    Hi,
I faced something similar few days ago, in my case, this error was due to the fact that in my TARGET Table, there is a large atribute called "ciudad_natal_de_mi_tatarabuela", when GTC try to create the process form it concatenates something like
    GTCRESNAME_UD_ciudad_natal_de_mi_tatarabuela
but Oracle database only support identifiers of size 30 or 40 (I don't remember), No possible for me to solve the issue eficiently, Metalink says something like "create a view and reduce the identifier name to suite OIM poor validation engine...." I ended up removing this attribute in the GTC wizard, of course no possible to provision ciudad_natal_de_mi_tatarabuela
    Regards.

  • OIM 11g - DBUM Connector Reconciliation Time Stamp

    Hi,
We're using OIM 11.1.1.5.2 with the 9.1.0.4 Database User Management Connector.
We're trying to use incremental reconciliation but it doesn't seem to work right.
    As per the connector's guide:
"The Last Execution Time attribute holds the time stamp at which the last reconciliation
run started. This attribute is used in conjunction with the reconciliation query
specified by the Query Name attribute. During a reconciliation run, only target system
records added or modified after the time stamp value stored in the Last Execution
Time attribute are fetched into Oracle Identity Manager for reconciliation."
However everytime we run the reconciliation for a specific target, we only get reconciliation for users CREATED after the last reconciliation dates, users MODIFIED after last reconciliation dates are not being reconciled.
The connector is not working as documented, when i review the log, i can see that it is using the following query for recon:
    SELECT USERNAME, DECODE(PASSWORD, 'EXTERNAL', 'EXTERNAL', 'GLOBAL', 'GLOBAL', 'PASSWORD') PASSWORD, EXTERNAL_NAME , DEFAULT_TABLESPACE, ACCOUNT_STATUS, TEMPORARY_TABLESPACE, PROFILE, (SELECT MAX_BYTES FROM DBA_TS_QUOTAS WHERE dba.USERNAME = USERNAME AND TABLESPACE_NAME = dba.DEFAULT_TABLESPACE) AS DEFAULT_TABLESPACE_QUOTA , (SELECT MAX_BYTES FROM DBA_TS_QUOTAS WHERE dba.USERNAME = USERNAME AND TABLESPACE_NAME = dba.TEMPORARY_TABLESPACE) AS TEMPORARY_TABLESPACE_QUOTA FROM DBA_USERS dba WHERE ((CREATED - TO_DATE('01011970','ddmmyyyy')) *24*60*60*1000) >1341440733000
I don't think the "CREATED" field on the dba_users table is changed everytime the user is modified, and that field is the only one used on the where clause of the query, so, seems like there's something wrong with it.
The only way to reconcile changes on users right now is running a full reconciliation.
Has anyone ran into this problem before?
    Thanks.

    Thanks Nishith,
I tested that approach and it worked. However, i had an interesting discussion on the DB forum and they convinced me not to use custom triggers on ddl, but instead use the audit capabilities of the database itself, so i came up with a new query using audit on alter user and grant and revoke role:
Creating a system event DDL trigger for alter user statement
What i used was a join between dba_users and dba_audit_trail, like i said in the other thread, it's not the efficient query ever, but it works, and i think it should work just fine as long as our dba's keep purging the audit tables regularly...
    SELECT dba.USERNAME, DECODE(dba.PASSWORD, 'EXTERNAL', 'EXTERNAL', 'GLOBAL', 'GLOBAL', 'PASSWORD') PASSWORD, dba.EXTERNAL_NAME , dba.DEFAULT_TABLESPACE,
    dba.ACCOUNT_STATUS, dba.TEMPORARY_TABLESPACE, dba.PROFILE,
    (SELECT MAX_BYTES FROM DBA_TS_QUOTAS WHERE dba.USERNAME = USERNAME AND TABLESPACE_NAME = dba.DEFAULT_TABLESPACE) AS DEFAULT_TABLESPACE_QUOTA ,
    (SELECT MAX_BYTES FROM DBA_TS_QUOTAS WHERE dba.USERNAME = USERNAME AND TABLESPACE_NAME = dba.TEMPORARY_TABLESPACE) AS TEMPORARY_TABLESPACE_QUOTA
    FROM DBA_USERS dba , DBA_AUDIT_TRAIL aud
    WHERE dba.username = aud.obj_name
    AND aud.action_name not like 'DROP%'
    AND ((aud.TIMESTAMP - TO_DATE('01011970','ddmmyyyy')) *24*60*60*1000) > :lastExecutionTime
    UNION
    SELECT dba.USERNAME, DECODE(dba.PASSWORD, 'EXTERNAL', 'EXTERNAL', 'GLOBAL', 'GLOBAL', 'PASSWORD') PASSWORD, dba.EXTERNAL_NAME , dba.DEFAULT_TABLESPACE,
    dba.ACCOUNT_STATUS, dba.TEMPORARY_TABLESPACE, dba.PROFILE,
    (SELECT MAX_BYTES FROM DBA_TS_QUOTAS WHERE dba.USERNAME = USERNAME AND TABLESPACE_NAME = dba.DEFAULT_TABLESPACE) AS DEFAULT_TABLESPACE_QUOTA ,
    (SELECT MAX_BYTES FROM DBA_TS_QUOTAS WHERE dba.USERNAME = USERNAME AND TABLESPACE_NAME = dba.TEMPORARY_TABLESPACE) AS TEMPORARY_TABLESPACE_QUOTA
    FROM DBA_USERS dba , DBA_AUDIT_TRAIL aud
    WHERE dba.username = aud.grantee
    AND ((aud.TIMESTAMP - TO_DATE('01011970','ddmmyyyy')) *24*60*60*1000) > :lastExecutionTime;
    Thanks.

  • OIM with AD Connector

So I have a pretty bare bones OIM instance.  We had things setup and working in OIM 11.1.1.5 and recently upgraded to 11.1.2.0.  We started having issues with AD after the upgrade.  When we provision the AD Resource, we receive OBJECT_ALREADY_EXISTS.
If we create a new user (who does not exist in AD), then provision AD we are seeing that error.  The Provisioning process fails on the Create User task.  If we manually delete the user and then retry the task, we still get the same error with the user being re-created in the process.  We have no idea why AD is creating the user and then the create user task is complaining about the same user already existing.  The AD connector version is 11.1.1.5.0.
    Any help would be great.
    Thanks,
    Rich

Yea, so just to give a summary in case anyone else sees this issue and how to resolve it.
We upgraded OIM 11.1.1.5 to 11.1.2.0.  After the upgrade, we started receiving two errors, 1) on our initial request, we were receiving an initial error when we tried to submit of: IAM-2050243: Orchestration process with id x, failed with error message Cannot deactivate transaction synchronization - not active.  2) When we would resubmit the request, we would get Object Already Exists for the Create User task in the provisioning process.
We were previously using AD Connector 9x so we upgraded to 11.1.1.5.0 (A).  After contact with Oracle support we upgraded to 11.1.1.5.0 (B).  But still had the issue.  We also upgraded to OIM BP7.
After reviewing the logs, Oracle support pointed out that we were getting: Caused by: java.sql.SQLException: ORA-12899: value too large for column "PREFIX_OIM"."UD_ADUSER"."UD_ADUSER_OBJECTGUID" (actual: 39, maximum: 32).
We went into the UD_ADUSER form in Design Console, created a new version and increased the size of the column UD_ADUSER_OBJECTGUID.  That fixed the issue.
Just to give an explanation of what was happening, OIM was submitting the request and kicking off the Create User AD task.  The user was being created in AD and then returning the objectguid.  Unfortunately, the objectguid was too large for the OIM column.  As a result, when OIM received the invalid response, it began a rollback and removed the AD App Instance entry in OIM but it wasn't a complete rollback since the AD user was created and thus we saw the Orchestration error.  So when we looked at the user's OIM profile, the user didn't have the AD app instance despite the AD user having been created due to the rollback.  So when we tried to resubmit the request (thinking it hadn't gone through) the Create User AD task went to create the user but saw the previously created user and thus errored out.
    Hope that helps someone out.

  • Problem handling SMTP address with OIM 11gR2 Exchange connector

    Hello,
I have a problem in regarding the primary SMTP address with the Exchange connector. The connector doesn't seem to be able to update it. Changing a user's primary SMTP address from its account details in OIM creates a new secondary address in Exchange. It does not change the current primary SMTP address. This does not look like a normal behavior... Any ideas on how to fix this?
    I'm using OIM 11gR2 with BP10 with AD 11.1.1.5.0A and Exchange 11.1.1.5.0.
    Thanks,
    --jtellier

Yes, you can try out few things suggested in below thread
    Re: Exchange Provisioning
The error looks like form exchange server side but still not sure about it.
Meantime open Service Request with oracle about the same as I can see other developers are also facing same issue.

  • OIM 11g OID connector install error

    Hi,
I'm trying to install the OID connector (OID_904140.zip) for OIM 11g (11.1.1.5), but it fails and I get this error message on my screen:
    "A system error occurred.
Contact the Oracle Identity Manager System Administrator."
    I have unzipped the OID_904140.zip into /home/oracle/Oracle/Middleware/Oracle_IDM1/server/ConnectorDefaultDirectory/
..and the ldap.jar and ldapbp.jar to the subfolder targetsystems-lib/OID_904140/
I can load it, but when I press install something fails. The log tells me this:

    Hi Henrik,
    Trying to help:
1-Go and take a look into CIH table into OIM Schema.
1.2-If OID is there, chech: CIH_STATUS column.
1.3-If it's recorded into this table. Try to follow OIM Connector Unistall guide and do it again.

  • OIM 11GR2 UNIX Connector Reconcile users from UNIX inquiry

    Good Day!
I would like to ask whether there is a way in OIM that when I reconcile all new users from my UNIX server, OIM will also create the resource which this user is provisioned upon?
    Here is my scenario:
    1.) Freshly installed OIM 11GR2.
2.) Installed UNIX connector on OIM 11GR2.
    3.) Configured UNIX TRUSTED Resource
4.) Reconciled all the UNIX users into OIM. (New users are created since my OIM doesn't have any user)
5.) The problem is when the new users are now created in OIM, they don't have entitlements or accounts linked to the UNIX server which they have been pulled upon.
I would like to ask whether I need to configure something to have the entitlements/accounts linking possible?
If not, what are the ways I can achieve this?
The only way I can think of is have the UNIX users be created in a flat file first then load via GTC then have reconciliation to have OIM to link these users to UNIX which I believe should be able to do the scenario I am asking upon.
    Thanks in advance!
    Regards,
    Jeff

By the way, checking target resource recon by default will not create new users when OIM is not able to establish a link.
In my case, OIM doesn't have any users since this is a fresh install hence even running target resource at start will won't create the new users in OIM right?
    based from this:
"You configure application (AD, OID, OVD, HR) etc in Target Resource Mode if that OIM is source of truth for user provisioning (All users are created in OIM and OIM then provision accounts in Application. Any changes in Application are reconciled back to OIM)."

  • Urgent! OIM database application Connector

I am using 9.0.4 OIM connector pack. How can I make sure the database application is properly deployed and reconcilation is taking place? And also how do you make sure it is configured properly?
    Iam using SQL Server database.

Are you performing a trusted reconciliation? (Trying to create OIM users from the recon events) or are you trying to just match the user's to their profile on the target system?
You need to look at the following places for your reconciliation pieces.
    1. Resource Object - Reconciliation tab. These are the fields that will appear in your processed data. You need to also check the rules tab in the same location. The entity match occurs based on your reconciliation rule (the bottom most item on the menu from the java client). This rule matches a value that comes in from the target system and a value on the user's OIM profile so the entity match can be made. This event triggers the Reconciliation Insert task which creates the resource profile for this user.
    2. Proces Definition - Reconciliation Data Mapping. The values here represent the mapping from the fields noted on your resource object recon tab onto the resource's process form. After you have an entry for the resource available on the user's resource profile, these fields determine your "process match". You must define a key field here so that OIM can determine what to continue matching the user's profile against with any new recon events to update the process form for the user.
If you are performing a trusted reconciliation, you need to define all these items on the Xellerate User object because you are mapping the target system data to your OIM user profile. You must also provide at a minimum, the following fields: First Name, Last Name, Password, Role, Type, Organization (this needs to be the key in the end, but hopefully the connector converts from the name to the key).
