Ok, I have deleted EVERYTHING off my 16gb ipad. Photos, music, apps. All I have are the standard apps. It says I have used 11gb and only have 1.6 left. When I first bought it I had up to 4 movies and lots of apps, no problems. What's going on please!?

With an iOS device, the “Other” space in iTunes is used to store things like documents, settings, caches, and a few other important items. If you sync lots of documents to apps like GoodReader, DropCopy, or anything else that reads external files, your storage use can skyrocket. You can remove the storage-hogging application and all of its data directly from this screen, or manually remove the data by opening the app. Some applications, especially those designed by Apple, will allow you to remove stored data by swiping from left to right on the item to reveal a Delete button.

Once you update your device to iOS7 it will not work with the older version of iTunes so it will not connect.
Is your contacts backed up to icloud? If so you can reset the phone and erase all content and restore information from icloud..

I am not much of a computer technician. I bought a time capsule thinking I could use this for an external hard drive and keep my MAC hard drive free. Was I mistaken? One I back everthing up on the TC, can I delete everything off of my MAC?

TC was designed to backup your Mac. The TC literature is pretty clear about this:
If your Mac's hard drive has a problem....it will sooner or later....you can use your backup on the TC to rebuild your Mac.
But.....if you move all of your data to the TC from your Mac....you only have one version of that data now, and it is on the TC.
Have you thought about what will happen when....not if....the TC has a problem? Since the only version of your important data was on the TC, and the TC has failed......you lose all of your data.....because you have no backup.
A much better plan would be to add a USB or FireWire hard drive and connect it directly to your Mac. Move the data on your Mac over to the hard drive.
Then, the TC will backup both your Mac and the hard drive. So, you have original data on on one drive and backups on another drive.
That would be a minimum backup plan. Most of us have more than one set of backups.

I deleted everything off my Ipod touch and now I can't get my music back on.

A few days ago I deleted everything off my Ipod as there was stuff on there that I didn't want and that was taking up room. I seleted the 'erase all contents and settings' option as I thought that it would simply be a case of reconnecting it to my computer in order to restore my music. But now when I connect it to the computer it doesn't pick it up in iTunes at all, its not under devices or anything. Also, when i turn it on now all that comes up is the apple logo, nothing else. I've tried everything from uninstalling iTunes and reinstalling the latest version to trying to restore my Ipod to its factory settings through iTunes but nothing works. I don't know if this makes any difference but i think it may have been jailbroken a couple of years ago (this was done by someone else not me) and that was what I was trying to delete, all the music and apps that they put on. Please help.

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Ok, so the songs were renamed for some reason after my update to iOS5 (possibly human error) to things like $ROV22LD (***?!) I have deleted them off the phone first, then tried to delete them off iTunes under 'my device' i just want them gone! Now to further complicate the issue, I have deleted some of the songs and re-infoed others that i really wanted to keep. This worked fine in the 'music' file in iTunes but no change to 'my device'.... sorry lol.

HT1386 how do I sync a full I touch to an empty Itunes? It keeps telling me it wants to delete everything off of my I touch.

I have gone into itunes and deleted songs from my playlist and tried to update my ipod but even when i delete playlists and songs it still says that i dont have enough room to add any more. Try restoring your iPod. Restoring will erase the iPod's hard drive, reload the software and put it back to default settings. it won't remove anything from your iTunes library. Once the restore is complete follow the on screen instructions to name the iPod and automatically sync your songs and videos onto the fresh installation. Press Done and the iPod will appear in iTunes and start to sync. If you want to update manually or using selected playlists uncheck the box beside the sync automatically instruction and press Done, it will default to manual mode and you can choose whatever setting you like: Restoring iPod to factory settings with iTunes 7

No need to worry. Assuming you have an ipod with an LCD screen, make sure you are signed into your iTunes account by opening up iTunes on your device, scrolling down to the bottom, and viewing the correct email.

Make sure you are in the home screen of the iTunes store of your ipod
Once that is accomplished, search for the music you lost using your itunes store. You should be able to install all of your music as long as you remember which ones you lost. You will not have to repurchase anything as long as you had i before and the item was succesfully installed.

You can't restore and erase everything without connecting to your computer. Have you had a chance to look at these troubleshooting documents? They may be of some help:
