I can view trailers with no freeze or pause issues. Just the actual movie when I download. Is there something I am missing here?

You must have a slower connection if it took 2.5 hours, did you pause it or exit out to the main screen? I've paused movies many times and it resumes..it could be due to the connection as well so what is your actual speed? Check www.speedtest.net Wifi or ethernet? Have you changed the DNS settings?

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

Well yes, of course your phone will have been locked in Japan because the Japanese phone companies do not offer unlocking to anyone, so you have effectively jailbroken your phone and can't get any help here.

Help. I tried to get sat tv on my mac and it turns out you need to have windows vista and parallel desktop installed. I downloaded the windows media player and flip4mac prematurely and now downloaded installer for quicken 2006 for mac with .dmg.hmx extension opens in quicktime and I can't install it. Very complex.

Flip4Mac, as you may know, is for viewing WMV video on a Mac. It will also convert to other formats thru Quicktime.
Windows Media Player isn't supported on a Mac anymore...stick to F4M.
If you have a file that appears to be associated with the wrong default app to open it, you have to change that detail within the "get info" window. Select the .dmg file (or whatever file desired), and press command i. At the bottom of the get info window you'll see "open with". There you can assign what program/app will open that particular file type.
Don't know why this can happen to files, but it's not a F4M problem, just a Mac quirk.

I have lost my CD's with the software and instructions for my SX30 IS.

Yesterday my laptop was making some noise and I took it to a repair shop. They installed Windows 7 (Previously was using windows Vista). They wiped my hard drive completely. Yes I am furious.
I had my Canon software and also instructions loaded on the hard drive. I cannot find my CD's and need to reload them on my computer. Canon must have a copy somewhere that I can borrow or purchase or a place that I can download this software and instructions.
I am not much of a photographer only about 1300 pictures since I bought the camera but the SX30 IS has made it so easy for me to photograph construction progress without spending my life learning how to use a camera. Thank you Canon,

Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 n above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

I downloaded the software and now my ipod touch will not work. It has the itunes logo and the usb cable on the screen and nothing works. I have held down the top right button and the center button and the apple logo comes up, screen goes black and then the itunes and cable pictures are back on the screen
