Old Mac died. Have PE 9 and while it installs I get a licensing problem I have the original discs and the serial. How do I fix this? I don't need the new version and I just want to use what I have already paid for. Error 213:5

Did you migrate over the data from your old computer? If so, there's probably something you brought over that knows it's not on the same hardware as before. In that case you need to run this:

and then go around and manually remove all the bits and bobs, not just from applications but also from hard drive>library>application support>adobe and from your username>library>preferences. Spotlight will not help you. You have to go looking on your own.

CS2 cannot be installed on modern Macs (which use Intel processors) running OS X Yosemite (10.10).
CS2 is a PowerPC application which can only run on older PowerPC Macs.
Intel Macs can run PowerPC apps but only when Rosetta is installed. Apple discontinued Rosetta in OS X 10.7.

How do I transfer my boot disc data to a new disc and have the new disc become the boot disc?

My original 500 Gb boot drive is full (~800 Mb available). I purchased a 1 Tb drive and installed it (no problems). Now I want to transfer everything on my original boot disc to the new drive and have the new drive become the boot disc. I would then wipe the original disc and use it for data backup.
Can I simply copy all the contents of the original disc to the new disc (this seems too easy...)? I am in that process, now, but am feeling insecure about it. I do have Time Capsule. However, when I went into it to restore to the new disc it wouldn't perform the task - maybe I am overlooking something...

No, the system won't 'copy' but you can clone it.

You could also copy or clone /Users to the new drive and leave the system where it is and free up most of the file space being used. OS X only needs 100GB. That way all the data is on the new drive.
And I think you want to add CCC along with TimeMachine to your backup strategy.

Licenses are platform specific, so a Windows version will not install/activate on a Mac. Platform swaps are only supported for the most recent release (CS6). The only way you might be able to do that is to have a Windows emulator installed on the Mac so that you have the required environment.

Problem: Now my new macbook air thinks it is the old machine and that the remote disc is the mb air. I did exactly what you wrote, and when trying to click the vcf file on the iPhone the screen freezing, and then after few long seconds it goes alon to home.
So I tried less contacts in a Vcard, and i'm dividing my address book, doing little by little and it work.

I have a user on an iMac 10.6 connected to our domain. She uses Outlook web access for email on our exchange server. Last week she received the following message which is randomly preventing her from sending emails. She claims no attachment was involved in the original email when this all started. I have not been able to look at her account as she is out of the office but maybe someone else dealt with this issue. I realize this may not be Mac related but thought I'd give it a try. She did say it occurred once over two days while working on a PC but it continued over the past weekend.

This is because F-Secure Anti-Virus for Microsoft Exchange has detected a virus in the attachment. If the user tries to send the message again, the message will be sent but without the attachment. PS - have found other posts indicating that clips smaller than 2s or sometimes 5s, or "short files" can cause this. Modern style editing often uses short takes ! Good grief I cannot believe Apple. Well I deleted a half a dozen short sections and can export, but now of course the video is a ruined piiece of junk and I need to re-do the whole thing, the sound etc. which is basically taking as much time as the original. And each time I re-do it I risk again this lovely error -50 and again trying to figure out what thing bugs it via trial and error instead of a REASONABLE ERROR MESSAGE POINTING TO THE CLIP IT CAN'T PROCESS. What a mess. I HATE this iMovie application - full of BUGS BUGS BUGS which Apple will not fix obviously, since I had this product for a few years and see just hundreds of hits on Google about this error with disappointed users. On the online tutorials I've seen it shows that when you create a new iTunes library it should open as a blank account, but that isn't happening.

If you have iTunes 11 turn on the Sidebar. Go to iTunes>View and click on Show Sidebar. You can also do a Crtl+S to show the sidebar. The sidebar is where Devices appears. and Control+B to show the Menu bar

I do not have Aperture installed on my computer anymore but I do have my old library. Is there any way to extract the ORIGINAL image from the library without having Aperture installed?

I started using Aperture back when it first came out. I really had no idea what I was doing when I set everything up. I got a new computer but do not have my Aperture disc anymore but I do have my old library. I can get into the library and find the pictures in the Preview and Thumbnails folders, but these obviously are not the original pictures. The ones in the Preview folder are only 10% of the size of the original digial photo. I want to know if there is any way to get or reconstruct the original picture using the files in the library without installing Aperture.

Install the 30 day trial of Aperture. Open your Aperture Library, export the Masters and Versions.
Other than that I will make a strong recommendation not to muck within the Aperture library. Yes, you can find your photos in there, but if you ever decide to again use it may well be unable to be opened. The other thing is the photos are scattered around in a gazillion folders it would take a long time, of course depending on the number of photos, to retrieve them.
