On 12/23/11 I update the adobe flash player and have had problems since- unexpected closing and freezing. Remove the adobe flash player and those problems resolved. How do I go back to the earlier version of adobe?

I was prompted by Firefox to update my adobe flash player on 12/23/11, which I did. Ever since then the web site has frozen and/or crashed. I run a internet business and can't have this continue. I uninstalled the flash player and the problems have stopped. I would like to reinstall the earlier version of adobe, since that didn't seem to impact the web site.
This is the flash player I installed on the 23rd - Flash Player 10.3 for Mac OS X 10.4-10.5 (Intel)

Your above posted list of installed plugins doesn't show the Flash plugin for Firefox.<br />

  • How do I go back to an earlier version of I-tunes? Since I updated to version 11.1.3.8 some stereo songs only play in mono and some only play through the front center speaker.

How do I go back to an earlier version of I-tunes?

My I-tunes hasn't worked since August and apparently its my fault, despite everything working fine until the update in August. No solution offered on these boards has worked at all.

Restore from the backup you had prior to installing Mavericks.
However, the upgrade should not have altered your partition scheme. Did your erase and format the drive prior to upgrading?

  • How can i revert back to an earlier version of Firefox? I have had nothing but slow, slow loading eversince I upgraded to4.01.1. I hate this version of Firefox. I hate the toolbar, it's a horrible colour and I can hardly read it.

Ever since I upgraded my Firefox to 4.01.1, everthing loads much, much slower.......I can go make a coffee while the page loads. Sometimes, it is soooooooooo slow, that it times out and I have to start all over again. Even when I sign on and load google, sometimes it takes forever.
I also do not like the toolbar at the top. It's grey and hard to read, what is wrong with white?
Can I revert back to the earlier version of Firefox? It worked much better. I use ancestry.com a lot and they even recommend a 3.??? version of Firefox.
Anything is better, so I don't have to sit and wait and wait and wait.

Thank you, Zenos. I tried rolling back to v31.2.0, since I had not encountered problems prior to December. However, that didn't help. So I followed your valuable suggestion to revert to v24.6; that seems to have done the trick.
I would like to mark this problem as "Solved" -- the rollback seems to have worked. However, since my original post was a complex mix of things, before I do that, should I post the individual problem sets that I had noted (address fields/nicknames problems -- numbers 1-3; default font problem -- number 4; attachment reminder problem -- number 5) as separate issues which have not been solved?
Do you know if these various issues are being worked on? I'm glad to have the temporary fix of rolling back to an earlier version, but I'd like to get back on the current update schedule at some point if and when these problems have been corrected.
    Thank you again!

  • How do I roll back to an earlier version?

I recently updated my Firefox to version 7.0.1. Unfortunately it's generating all kinds of 403 and 404 network errors on the app software I use for work, so I need to roll it back to an earlier version (I believe I was using 6.7 before) as quickly as I can, but would like to retain as much of my configuration (e.g., add ons) as I can. What's the best way to do this?

This isn't working well. As directed, I first downloaded the Firefox 6 installer; backed up my profile; unistalled Firefox 7; and finally ran the Firefox 6 install. All this ran fine, but when I then tried to run the new Firefox 6 install it pops an alert dialog saying "Firefox is already running, but is not responding. To open a new window, you must first close the existing Firefox process, or restart your system."
I couldn't find a Firefox process running in the task manager, and restarting didn't help; the same alert apears again when I try to launch again after the restart. I also tried unistalling and reinstalling Firefox 6 again (figured it couldn't hurt) with a restart in between, but the same thing happened again. I finally shut the system completely down (versus restarting) for about 5 minutes, but the problem once again presented after starting up again.
So, how do I get around this? Is this a known problem? Is there a process (perhaps running automatically at startup) I should kill manually to enable Firefox to launch?

  • How can I go back to an earlier version of Firefox?

Firefox 3.6.8 often crashes when I scroll with the mouse wheel. I have had no such problems in the past, and I want to restore an earlier, more stable version.

Version 3.5.11 is still available and has the latest security fixes:
    http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html
However, updates are scheduled to end this month, so really we should try to get your 3.6 working.
(Before changing your version, please make a backup of your profile folder. More info: [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/backing+up+your+information Backing up your information].)

  • A very important site, does not function properly anymore, how can i go back to an earlier version of firefox

Before i downloaded your firefox 8.0.1, I used firefox to 'save as' the ''Unrealized gain/loss page'' from a brokerage account, - for my ongoing historical financial records file (safari doesn't work for this site).
On the Unrealized gain/loss page, there is a '+' symbol (in front of each stock owned) that one needs to 'clic' on (turns to a -) to see the various dates (and financial data) when you purchased different lots of the same stock. (say, ''IBM''; purchased IBM shares on 21-10-'11, 100 shares, @ $147, current price @ $180, gain of $33/share, total gain $3,300 / 10-14-'11 purchased 200 IBM shares, @ $191, current price @ $180, loss of $11/share, total loss $2200 / - and so on for however many individual 'lots' one has of that particular stock. ). This information is very important to me, and now i can not 'save' it.
    - So I want to know how I 'fix' this - or - how I can go back to the earlier version, that did work.

To downgrade to Firefox 3.6 first uninstall Firefox 4, but do not select the option to "Remove my Firefox personal data". If you select that option it will delete your bookmarks, passwords and other user data.
You can then install the latest version of Firefox 3.6 available from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html - it will automatically use your current bookmarks, passwords etc.
To avoid possible problems with downgrading, I recommend going to your profile folder and deleting the following files if they exist - extensions.cache, extensions.rdf, extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite and localstore.rdf. Deleting these files will force Firefox to rebuild the list of installed extensions, checking their compatibility, and reset toolbar customizations.

  • How can I roll back to an earlier version of OS 7 software

Can anyone advise me on how to roll back to an earlier version of OS 7?
I installed v 7.0 Bundle 2406 a few weeks ago and have had constant synch problems since. Most of these I have been able to fix by deleting 'problem' calendar appointments I have identified on the synch log. However, I have no idea how to solve the latest problem (see below). Sorry to hear you are having issues with your BlackBerry® Torch™ 9860 smartphone.
It is not recommended to downgrade your software, however, if you wish to do so you will need to consult your mobile carriers download site at www.na.blackberry.com/eng/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp and see if the previous software version is posted. If so, download and install it to your computer then use the BlackBerry® Desktop Software to install the older software version.

If your disk was wiped, presumable you will not need to worry about the library as a new blank library will be created.

  • How can I go back to an earlier version of Bridge CC?

I am using a MacBook Pro. Running OS 10.6.8
I am NOT ready to upgrade to a higher OS at this time.
Unfortunately, I let Adobe Application Manager do an upgrade of Bridge CC for me and now it won't work. The version it upgraded to will not run on this OS.
    1. The Application Manager should be aware of what system I am using and block such an upgrade.
    2. I should be able to 'undo' that upgrade and go back to what I was using before.
I also do not have a TimeMachine backup of the earlier version of Bridge.
    Please help.
