On a MS Vista platform I just "upgraded" to Firefox 10.0.2 and now cannot connect. My wireless devices go throught the same DSL line and work. fine. 9.0.1 (previous version) worked fine. Suggestions?

We have just installed Lion and now cannot connect to MyExpat
we have just installed OS X Lion, v10.7.2 and now cannot connect to MyExpatNetwork on my Macbook pro. Any suggestions?
yeah-find out where you're downloading stuff to, and stick with it. I'm using FireFox and tell it to save the driver and stuff on the desktop, and when I quit FireFox, there it is on the desktop. you'll also need your admin password. It should show up as a .dmg file, then double-click on it to open it. You should see "Brother.pkg" . start up brother.pkg (double click??) and folow the instructions that ought to appear to install the printer driver. If the .dmg file doesn't mount, use Disk Utility** to mount it and get it working. Then you should see the package. and then you can install it.
** you may have to click on the .dmg file and choose "Get Info" then Open with, then choose disk utility, and then open with then change all. then close it. Hopefully that ought to work. If you cannot remember your admin password, I can't help you right now. Looks like you'd need it, to let Brother install that printer driver.

Depends upon the version of Roboform you have. Roboform Pro v.6 needs to be updated to v.7 for Firefox 4.0 compatibility.

The OP is correct, I have done many tests. With IOS6 there appears to be a dns issue in some cases with IOS for both ipad(2) at lease (my wife won't let me upgrade here v1) and the iPhone4s in my case. Pretty easy to diagonse, I wish Apple would fix it.
1.) I use a Juniper 5GT wireless firewall and all of my other devices (many apple, ipad, MBP, iMAC,3 ipods etc) are fine: Not ipad2 or iphone4s running IOS6
2.) after upgrade nothing worked. narrowed it down by messing with dns (I have my own dns server)
3.) Strange thing; dns works over MiFI (Verizon) and Carrier
4.) confirmed that it is a dns and not network issue.
-down load free tool called ping-scope-lite. (obviously you need to turn off wifi to do this)

- ping Level3 dns server 4.2.2.2 or Googlesdns servers 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4 these worked.

Apple did say that they would give me another iphone 4s: I just wasn't sure that would fix my issue. I tried downgrading to 5.1.1 but I got an error saying my device wasn't able to do so (tried even blocking itunes from contacting Apple) I whis this could be fixed. I did even have it working using my own dns server but now I can see that my phone over wifi isn't even trying to make a dns request now.

I recently upgraded to mountain lion and now cannot connect to my Brother QL-570 Label Maker
I recently upgraded to Mountain Lion and now cannot print out on my Brother QL-570 printer. I get as far as typing in the label name and then the labeller or computer disconnect. I just upgraded to ff 6.0.1 via an automatic push. Since then, ff hasnt been able to connect to the internet. Error message:

IE has no trouble connecting to the internet.After upgrading, your firewall may not be recognizing the new Firefox version and is not allowing it access to the internet. On your firewall progam's allowed applications list, remove Firefox, then re-start Firefox, try going to a website, your firewall will detect the new version of Firefox, then give the permissions needed for Firefox to have internet access.

My eMail outbox won't go online. I can't send eMail messages but I am currently receiving my messages.
Just upgraded my older iMac to 10.6.8 but kept the same eMail addresses (Google), the same provider (Cricket Broadband), and entered all the same settings in Mail Preferences and Accounts as before.
Any suggestions as how to get my outbox online so I can send mail?

In Mail's Window Menu, choose Connection Doctor, any red dots for status, if so what is the message?
Then click the Show Details button & Check again.

We run a SBS 2003 Exhange box, however since an over-the-air update this particular handset has refused to recieve mail from Exchange (apparently Yahoo had issues too).
Authentication is fine, it will happily recognise the account if it is deleted and set up - once the user tries to recieve mail however it will annonce that the connection to the server failed.
We have several other devices on the same iOS version and others below which are working fine!
Mobile access is enabled along with all expected services with no errors being flagged in the event manager for this user - I'm not wondering what might be the cause! Something in his mail box that iOS 5.1.1 doesn't like?!
Short of a backup/restore of the device I'm can't see anything to help...It would worth your asking in the Final Cut Pro X forum - someone else may have experienced the same problem.
I assume you have already trashed Preferences/ByHost/com.apple.dotmac... (several files beginning with this) and (same path) com.apple.idisk - though I suspect the problem lies rather with the individual programs which are trying to access something on the non-existent iDisk. -
Have just loaded iOS7 and now I cannot send or receive mail . Device message is : cannot open mail cannot connect with server. Any ideas?
Had the same problem. Deleted my account and readded it...still didn't work. Had a call with Apple, and they couldn't figure out why the Exchange server wouldn't work. They had me set up mail through Gmail, and that finally worked. There must be a bug they need to fix for the Exchange Server.

Updated to newest version of iTunes and now cannot connect to iTunes Store
Please help! I have tried everything suggested by Apple to remedy this problem to no avail. I even have removed iTunes completely and downloaded/installed the newest version again. I did not want to update, but the store would not let me purchase a new release with my older version for some reason? I always hate modifications/updates. They never seem to work properly. Thanks for any suggestions in advance!
i had the same thing happen to me. as usualy new version of something stops something else from working. its final cut pro updates all over agian. anyway... the above posts helped me get a solution so i will share it;
since i didnt have any virus protection it appears to be the built in windows firewall doing the damage. on my machine i had to navigate to the windows security icon which is burried : start -> programs -> accessories -> system tools -> security center. then scroll down to "windows firewall" to the "exceptions tag". "iTunes" was already selected as an allowed program so i deleted it and then added it again (manually add program, then browse to wherever you saved iTunes to. likely in program files). the newer version came up as "iTunes.exe" not just "iTunes" as before.

I have upgraded to OS X 10.9 and now I cannot connect to my Canoscan LIDE 90 Scanner. Cant find a new driver anywhere. Any ideas??
Like Dan White, I have found that I can still run the Lide 90 under Mavericks. As Dan says, the buttons on the front of the scanner don't work but I rarely if ever used them.
I have just tested the scanner using Acrobat Pro and it loads up the Scangear software to capture the scan, with no problems at all. I didn't have to reinstall anything as it was all there already and working in Mountain Lion. Photoshop CS 5.1 is different; it does not recognise the scanner, presumably because it can't find a TWAIN driver for it. Image Capture does not recognise the scanner either, but I don't have the latest (10.8) Canon MP Explorer and Explorer Opener software installed. -
Upgraded to iOS5 and now cannot connect to iTunes Store
After upgrading to iOS 5, I cannot connect to the iTunes Store. I was having the problem at home where I was connected to my home network, and now when I'm not connected to a network.
Suggestions?This appears to be an Apple ID issue. I was forced to change my username to my email (which I had already done years ago) after searching and searching for reasons why my password all of the sudden didn't work on my iPhone. This started about 3-4 weeks ago.
So my password needed to be re-set when I tried to access my iTunes on my computer, and my iTunes balance disappeared. My username was still my email address (as it had been for years) but my gift card balance was gone and so was ownership of all my apps and music
Now, after upgrading to iOS5 my ONLY Apple ID now works with the re-set password, but it lost all of my apps. They are there, but when I go to update them through the iTunes store, I get that "cannot connect to itunes store" error message because after that weird 'update' to my Apple ID it seems to have lost all history I've had with Apple.
This is so upsetting, as I'm finding out that Apple does not allow recovery of these purchased items between these ID's. So, now I'm wondering where in the heck is my "old" apple id?? I can't sign in with my "old" info....

After installing the new update for Firefox 3.6, no matter what I do, I cannot connect to the internet using Firefox. I can get on the internet using my other browsers (Google Chrome and Internet Explorer), so Firefox is the only one that doesn't work. I have already checked my firewall and have added and removed Firefox from my firewall to no avail. I've also already uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox, but so far it hasn't helped.
I have already tried removing firefox from my firewall. Even when I do that, my firewall doesn't detect firefox and prompt me to add it. And when I manually add it, it still doesn't work anyways. I've already tried the link as well, but it has been unhelpful. :/
I'm not sure if it matters, but a few weeks before this, I did download Microsoft Security Essentials.
