If you don't have the option to play music by genre on your iPhone, try this step to find the Genre option:
Browse your music library.
You can browse your music by playlist, artist, or other category. For other browse options, tap More. Tap any song to play it.
To rearrange the tabs in the Music app, tap More, then tap Edit and drag a button onto the one you want to replace.

I had the same problem and did a reboot, for me that solved the problem.
How to reboot your iPhone:
1. Hold down the Home button (that’s the big button in the lower front) and the Sleep / Wake button (that’s the little button on the top right) down.
2. Keep holding until you see the screen go black and then the Apple logo appear.
3. Voila! Your iPhone has been rebooted. Resume your blissful life and forget that anything bad happened with your iPhone.

If I am playing a song in iOS 7 while the phone is locked, unlocking the phone seems to cause the Music app to skip to a different part of the song. It seems to be a random placement, sometimes ahead; sometimes back; sometimes very close to where it was, but rarely a continuous feed. Anyone have a clue what might be happening? Shake to Shuffle is off, only the Home Button has been touched. I also noticed that the display on the lock screen may be indicating where the playback will go once the phone is unlocked. Thanks for your help!
In reading other threads, I found a few that recommend a hard reset to solve the issue. I have tried it, and thus far haven't expereienced the problem again. Hopefully that's it then

White bright light on unlocking the phone while using the touch ID
Whenever i unlock my phone using touch finger id , a bright white light comes up on the left top corner.

It sounds like you are getting a flash of light in the upper left corner of your screen when you unlock the phone using Touch ID. I would start by quitting all the open apps first:
iOS: Force an app to close

Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.
When you have done that and restart the phone and test the issue again:

Yes, you can continue to use the same SIM and the same carrier even if the carrier unlocks your phone.

What you are attempting is not permitted by Apple as it signs iOS 6.1.2 for this phone.
Any way you need official SIM from the Carrier to activate locked iPhone. -
Music skips when I unlock my phone?
I just recently got an iPhone 5s, and today was the first time i listened to music on it. Everytime I unlocked my phone while listening, the music skipped and went back a couple of seconds, sometimes as much as 20 seconds. Can I fix this?
Should not happen (doesn't for me).
Try a Reset by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings. -
Is there a way to dismiss the alarm clock without having to unlock the phone?
This has been annoying and, quite honestly, I don't remember it being a problem before the iOS 5 update.
When an alarm goes off using the default clock / alarm app and the phone is locked, all I get is the option to Snooze. The only way to actually dismiss the alarm so that it does not go off again is to unlock the phone while the alarm is going off.
Is there a way - either by pressing a button on the phone or getting a dismiss button next to the snooze button - to dismiss an alarm in the lock screen without having to unlock the phone? I know if the phone is unlocked, the alert will give me the option of either "Snooze" or "Ok," but I don't get that same option in lock mode.
Any help with this would be appreiciated.The unlock slider at the bottom of the lock screen should turn off the alarm.

Everytime I unlock my phone I get greeted with the pop up that itunes terms and conditions have changed, I keep clicking OK because I am not prompted to read anything. Howver it says I must read and accept the terms, where is that?
When I plug in my iphone and purcahse material I am not prompted to review anything. How do I get this pop up to stop? Where is this magical location I can approve it?I have the same issue.

I just discovered that Siri can be accessed when your phone is locked. Allowing calls to be made, text to be sent and most importantly access to the Internet. Once you exit out of the Internet you are then on the home screen unlocking the phone without the need for the passcode. Very concerning and needs to be rectified ASAP.
Well after changing the settings which should prevent Siri from working when my phone is locked I've found that it still can be used when locked and I can still unlock my phone with Siri.
Kb - I simply asked Siri to search the web for something when the phone was locked which opened safari. When I was finished I pressed the home button and I was on the home screen. -

Only the carrier can unlock your iPhone.

Start with your finger at the bottom of the screen (about even with the home button) and swipe in an upward motion. There should be a row of icons at the top of a grey field. if the quarter-moon icon is bright white, tap it. If it was (and still is) dark, take the iPhone in to be evaluated by a qualified technician.
