On my desk top there are no pictures in my web site but there are on my lap top & others can see pictures

I have automatic Firefox update so I think I have the newest version.

Additionally, please be aware that unless that photo is at least the size of your desktop (in pixels), you will most likely get a fuzzy and/or pixelated image. It is easy to make pictures smaller, but making them larger will mostly end up with a not-so-perfect result. So, you should check your desktop size (Displays Pane in Sustem Preferences, then check which resolution is highlighted - that is your desktop size in pixels. Now check your photo to make sure it is the same size, or almost as large or larger.

When in iTunes on the computer,my our ipadmshould show under devices.
Click on your ipadmunder devices then go to music at top center of the iTunes window, check what you want to sync for music. You need to set it to a folder if I remember which would have your music in it you want synced.
Same with PDF files.....there should be an option for data or even PDF files at the top center area of iTunes when the iPad is clicked under devices.
If your iPad does not show or you cannot click on it under devices which is in the leftane of iTunes, the iPad is not being seen by the computer.
Try unplugging the USB cord from the laptop then give it a few and see if the computer picks it up.

I am using version iPhoto'11. Since I installed this version I experience some difficulties. After importation of pictures I can see the pictures under Library/Pictures but not under Library/Events. However I can see the event and the number of pictures.

I am using version iPhoto'11. Since I installed this version I experience some difficulties. After importation of pictures I can see the pictures under Library/Pictures but not under Library/Events. However I can see the event with the event title, the number of pictures and the pictures itselve as small thumbnails. BUt ounce I want to open the event to see the pictures in full screen the event title annouces 0 pictures and no pictures are visble anymore to mee. I have checked if the pictures are marked as hidden and this is not the case. What's going wrong. All the other events are visible in a normal way.
The albums with the same pictures into them are visible.

Make a temporary, duplicate copy of the library and try the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your Home/Library/Preferences folder.
2 - delete iPhoto's cache files that are located in your Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder.
3 - reboot, launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding the the Option key. You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.
Fix #2
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys depressed and follow the instructions to rebuild the library. Select options #1, #2 and #6.

From things you are saying, such as "shared folder" and having both machines on, it doesn't sound to me like you truly moved the whole iTunes collection.

do not confuse moving your whole folder and library with moving just media files as in

Quick answer if you let iTunes manage your music: Copy the entire iTunes folder (and in doing so all its subfolders and files) intact to the other drive. Start iTunes with the option key held down and guide it to the new location of the library.

I'm not sure what you are asking, but if you want to watch TV stations you can watch on your mac in a web browser on the Apple TV instead, I'm sorry you can't do that.

I want to be able to use 2 different scanner machines (A4 and A3). I have installed the 2 drivers. When I switch usb cables to use the other scanner in I get the message saying there is no scanner installed. I can see the 2 machines in the printer list.

I just install Photoshop CC. I try to open the file picture. All open as solid black picture. But on the right side under layer I can see little pic preview. Please help!

If you migrated your MobileMe account to iCloud, on your phone you should be able go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Add Account>iCloud and enter the Apple ID associated with your iCloud account. I think that the tech probably meant that your photos would be in the backup. If he helped you backup your iPad on your computer, then you have to restore from the backup in order to recover your photos.
Did you bring your computer with you when you got this help from the tech backing up your iPad, or did he talk you through this over the phone?

Iv'e had my mac for 2 weeks & now have a problem with safari since I changed to a wireless super hub. It will not open a web site I use my iPad & windows lap top will. Apple support say it's the DNS settings cable say there okay please can anyone help

Iv'e had my mac for 2 weeks safari was working great until I changed to a wire less super hub. Safari will not let me open & log into a web site I go on a lot. My ipad & windows lap top will on the same network. Apple have said it's the DNS setting my cable provider say it's not it's a problem with my mac. Iv'e phoned apple lots of times same with cable provider Iv'e tried a few things it has not helped solve the problem. I'm now advised to return my mac to the shop for a check. Has anyone else had this problem I would appreciate any help because I'm going round in circles.

Adding a couple of DNS numbers sometimes helps:
System Preferences>Network, select your wifi or ethernet network on the left and click on the 'advanced' button and then the DNS tab. On the left side of the window make a note of any DNS numbers listed so that you can re-instate them if necessary and then click on the '+" button bottom left of the window. Type 8.8.8.8 and click the + again and type 8.8.4.4 save the settings and try the website again.
BTW, I have the same problem with Firefox not letting me input my password in secure sites. I did find a workround in the network settings in Firefpx prefs, but it didn't stick so I reverted to using Chrome as alternative browser. No problems with that so long as you don't mind Google looking over your shoulder
