On my email, my delete boxes that I check to delete old emails have become doted lines and I can no longer check so many at one time to delete
I have a local internet provider and when I log onto my account thru Firefox there use to be a square box to the left side of the email that I could check to delete how ever many I wanted to on that page at the same time. Now those boxes have become little dots and you can't check them to delete them. The boxes are still there when I log on thru Google chrome. Please let me know what to do. Thanks, Daryl

My Nano is full and I can no longer sync more music. How do I delete duplicate songs on the Nano to make room for syncing more songs?
I had the same problem today and was able to resolve it without having to do a restore or reset. The problem had something to do with my mail accounts. The upgrade reset my mail settings, switching both my gmail and my .mac mail to "archive all mail". I went into the General Settings, disabled that setting, and resynced the phone. The "other" storage allottment dropped back down to less than a gig.
Before you restore or reset, I would try that first. -
I am trying to delete duplicate content in my iTunes library. I have stopped the download and I can see them on VIEW>Displaying Duplicates, but cannot delete them with the Delete button. Can anyone assist?
If you've paused the download (they are partially greyed out on the duplicates screen ?) then you will need to delete them from download window, you can't (as far as I know) delete partially downloaded items from that screen. When you have items downloading, or downloads that are paused, you should have a downward pointing arrow at the top right of the iTunes screen
If you click that arrow you should get a popup window with the items that are downloading/paused - and you should be able to select and delete them (or resume their download) from there. -
I have a site that i'm working on for class and i need to be able to have people comment on my blogs and stiff and they can't because im using FTP because I don't have a mobileme account. WIll this be changing soon that you can all comments to your site using IWeb.

The colors denoting my different calendars have disappeared.
To the right of "MAIL" I have blank boxes.
When I click on the boxes to the left of in box emails instead of a check mark, there is a straight line on the far left side of the box and the mark disappears as soon as you click on another entry.You can control this from Mail Preferences on your computer. Open Mail, go to Preferences, and select Accounts.
Go to your MobileMe account and select Mailbox Behaviors. Next to Trash, select Store Deleted Messages on the Server. -
I am trying to create a signature for my emails. The box that asks to 'choose a signature' won't allow me to. Any suggestions?

I have changed my icloud email in my iphone but in macbook still using old email. I tried to delete the old email in macbook but it requires password and it does not accept the old password for the old email anymore. How do I remove this old email?

If your Apple ID was changed from your old account, you may have to change it back to your old account to be able to sign out and then change it back after that is done. Take a look at the article below for more information.

I am trying to delete the iCloud account on my iPhone that is associated with an old email address no longer in use, so I can set it up with my new email address. I am unable to delete the account until I turn off "Find my iPHone" which it won't let me do unless I log in under the old email address..... Problem is, I don't remember the password for the old address/account. It is no longer functional so I cannot request a reminder. I've already updated my iTunes/Apple ID with my new email address. I'm stuck!! Help!
You remember the answers to the security questions or you call Apple, talk to someone in account security, and prove to them that you own the account.

if the music that is on an iPod can no longer be accessed through iTunes because it was deleted, is there anyway to recover the music on the iPod if it wasn't purchased?

When I plug in iPhone (5.1.1) to computer, playlists show up on the iPhone (when plugged in), that do not appear when it is not plugged in. And I can't erase them. I have iTunes match, and deleted all my music on the iPhone, but that had no effect on the phantom playlist that shows up on the PC when I plug in the iPhone to the PC. I cannot manually move songs or playlists from the PC to the iPhone

Hi, how can I limit the number of emails I can see on my iPhone 5. Every time in delete one and older email gets added from my live.co.uk account (where I want to keep my 2500 emails) I just don't want many on my phone. Thanks
You can't. Why on earth would you attempt to manage 2500 emails with setting up a folder structure or some means of doing so? Simply keeping them in an single inbox is not realistic, no matter what email client you use.

I recently had a data migration from old iMac to new iMac 11.2
How do I use that data file to get old email contacts, Safari bookmarks, etc ?FireWire cables are dirt cheap and that's how you should be doing the migration. You might have to start over, wiping the new machine's HD, and restoring the software as described in the Everything Mac manual that came with it. Having the email address is not necessary. It is just the username for the device. All you need is that Apple ID and password. Now, if you forgotten the password, then you have more work to do. Since that email is no longer active, you would need to send the reset to your rescue email, if you remember that. Or you will need to contact Apple Security for help. Transferred backed-up data from external hard disk to new hard drive on my MacBook Pro which seemed to be successful. I now find that some (or maybe all) old emails have been resent. Can anyone tell me what has happened?

I've never seen this issue, and I handle many iPads, of all versions. WiFi issues are generally local to the WiFi router - they are not all of the same quality, range, immunity to interference, etc. You have distance, building construction, and the biggie - interference.
At home, I use Apple routers, and have no issues with any of my WiFi enabled devices, computers, mobile devices, etc - even the lowly PeeCees. I have locations where I have Juniper Networks, as well as Aruba, and a few Netgears - all of them work as they should.
The cheaper routers, Linksys, D-Link, Seimens home units, and many other no name devices have caused issues of various kinds, and even connectivity.
I have no idea what Starbucks uses, but I always have a good connection, and I go there nearly every morning and get some work done, as well as play.
You could try changing channels, 2.4 to 5 Gigs, changing locations of the router. I have had to do all of these at one time or another over the many years that I have been a Network Engineer.

I Have an iPhone 5S and I can't open photos that emailed to me. It just says Zip archive when I click on the JPG file to download it. Help?
whoever is emailing you the photos is sending them as a .zip file not a .jpg most likely because there is more than one photo. unfortunately iPhone does not have a .zip file reader so whoever is emailing the photos has to make sure they are not zip ing them and resend them as .jpg files. (usually gmail tries to convert several images into .zip files)
