On startup, Firfox checks for add on changes and then goes to a Firefox page. I have selected to open in a blank page and I have disabled checking for add ons. This does not help. How do I fix this?

Spell check function in my iworks pages does not work, how do I fix this?

I have a new IMac (intel) and I am struggling learning to use the ipage part of the iwork suite. There does not appear to be a spell check feature working, since I'm trying to create some new documents, this is a real hassle. And does anyone know how to do a cut and paste of images from the web. I'm doing a presentation, have permission to use the photos and can't get it to work!! sigh I beginning to think I should have paid the xtra bucks and bought the window suite version, at least I know where they hid the bells and whistles in that one.

If there is an image on a website you want to use locally on your computer usually just dragging the image from the web page anywhere on your desktop is enough to copy the image. You can then drag the image from the desktop anywhere you want.
Alternatively you can right-click (or hold down the control key and regular click on the image) on the image and then choose "Copy Image. You can then perform an Edit > Paste into a Pages document for example.

I have an iPod nano, the newest version, it turns on, noticeable by a light that appears however it doesn't show the icons etc that the tactility of the iPod nano offers.

My Norton tool bar No longer is visable and does not work, how can I fix this

My Norton 360 that saves all my passwords for me does not work on fire fox 4.0. How can I go back to the previous version? I was not given a warning that Norton 360 wouldn't work until after I had already down loaded 4.0, or I would not have downloaded it!
I did not know that the tool bar was going to disappear!

Norton says they are going to update 360 in April for the Firefox 4.0.

I have xml files with css. IE displays them correctly but FF 4 does not. How can I fix this?

I try to use FF for everything but this is the one thing I can't get it to do and I hate to have IE as my only choice for viewing these files correctly.
They are for school, but I would still like to use them for websites I design.

I will also try there but this isn't just a web design problem.
XML files are used a lot and when formatted with CSS or XSLT can usually be viewed like a regular web page. So if I went to a website and they were showing me this file or I upload this file I would like to be able to view it. I know I can open IE and problem solved but I don't want to use it. I thought IE was behind me because FF did everything I needed until now.

I have a Rocketfish Bluetooth device that I use to stream music wirelessly from my Macbook to my stereo. The macbook and bluetooth pair then connect but once i activate the connection fails. I've used other devices (ipad) to connect with the Rocketfish and it works so the bluetooth device is funtional so the issue must be on my macbooks end. Any thoughts on how i can get this to work?

My iphone 3GS is sometimes recognized by the computer but it does not charge how do I fix this?

My iPhone is giving me ****. I don't know what is wrong with it besides that it will not charge. I've been scouring the internet for the last few hours and have been trying to figure it out. I've cleaned out the charging area with a toothpick that I discovered on another board, i tried plugging it back in, it acts like it is going to "connect" but it will not charge, I get the little indicator that looks like a plugin but I still do not get any charge, i have tried two different chargers and nothing is working. If it shows up in iTunes and you can sync the phone, could be that the docking port is damaged.

After updating from Firefox 3.6.24 to 8.01 I could no longer access my Hotmail e-mail in My.MSN web page. I believe Firefox 8.01 doesn't support this capabilityl. If this is not true, how do I fix this problem?

After installing 8.01, I logged into My.MSN.com web page and my e-mail messages no longer dropped down into my Hotmail menu. I believe Firefox said 8.01 no longer supports this capability. I therefore did a system restore to go back to 3.6.24.
How can I view my Hotmail e-mail messages in my.msn.com if I upgrade to 8.01?

I also have this problem and it just started in the last week or so. It seems to be dependent on my home network and the problem only exists with firefox. I have used chrome and IE8 with no issues. I can verify tomorrow that it only exists in my network but one thing I was able to test is that the problem exists even on my linux boot. I am totally dumbfounded with this problem and I can't find anything that will allow the gmail page to load. All other pages I have tried load fine, all be it a little slower than normal but they load. If anyone knows of a difference between firefox and all other browsers on how it goes through the router I would appreciate the info cause I don't know of any differences.

Check the setting in System Preferences > Universal Access > Mouse & Trackpad tab > mouse options.. button > check scrolling.
If you have an older mouse with the trackball, it might just need cleaning. Turn the mouse over and rub the trackball vigorously on paper or microfiber cloth.
