On the Comcast mail site, I cannot get past the "Inbox Preview" page. If I hit anything, including "View Entire Inbox" or on a particular message, or anything else, I'll just be returned to the "Inbox Preview" page. This only happens on Firefox. When it started happening, I finally gave up and tried Internet Explorer, which works fine. I'd prefer to access email on Firefox, so please tell me how to correct this.
I don't know if this is related, but immediately before this started happening, I may have hit something on my laptop, which caused the Comcast email screen to magnify to the point where I could not view the message window on messages. I couldn't figure out how reverse this, so I did the above (went to IE, which was fine). When I next attempted to access Comcast email from Firefoxe, the site was no longer magnified, but I had the above problem with being unable to get past the Inbox Preview page.

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache.
Note: ''This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to.''
To clear cache and cookies do the following:
#Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
#Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
#Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
#From the details list, check ''Cache'' and ''Cookies'' and uncheck everything else.
#Now click the ''Clear now'' button.

I get that every once in a while on my 3GS, and that's what I do to get rid of it. Probably not a bad idea to power down the phone every so often, anyway, gets rid of any crud waiting to cause a bug.

I cannot open my comcast mail since they changed their opening page for inboxes

I have always been able to access my Comcast email inbox UNTIL Comcast changed their opening page for email. When they changed their opening page, it now shows just a portion of your new email and you have to click on "View Entire Inbox" to actually read your mail. I can navigate to this page, but when I click on "View Entire Inbox" it simply gives me the exact same page and will not allow me to view my entire inbox. I phoned Comcast and they said it is an issue with Mozilla. I can still view my email via Safari. Any ideas? I miss Mozilla! I hate Safari!

Yeah, Comcast didn't bother testing that new interface properly with Firefox, so it is a "Mozilla problem". They did the same thing two years ago with the last major re-design of their web mail interface, but they fixed it a little faster then.
The Xfinity Connect Lite interface works properly in Firefox 6.0, so you need to open Preferences > General near the top of that page and switch to the Connect Lite version. See the screenshot below.

Firefox will often close in the middle of use with no error msg. How do I fix this?

I currently use an aspen a701 tablet. When I first open firefox it takes over a minute to load the first website or two then works fine. After a few minutes of surfing firefox will just close with no warning or error msg and when I reopen it, it opens to the home page and not my previously viewed page before it closed. Its an interesting scenario .Anyways to add an email link to the confirm.jsp all you need to do is to add the below javascript and html to confirm.jsp

Adding these lines will you a link for email on confirm.jsp on clicking on which you will get a new window with the Cc and all
the required fields and it is used for sending the mails. But your issue for sending the item data from confirm page is still left.
I will also try to find out the easiest way to send this data.

When using Preferences to change the email to Xfinity Lite you loose certain valuable features available in the full verfsiion. This may work for some but I enjoy attaching photos in some emails and having them show in he message boz along with a message. It's a shame that two multi-national companys can't get their act straight. Comcast blames Firefox, Firefox blames Concast. In the meantime users are forced to use Internet Explorer. I hate this kind of stupidity. Millions of consumers are inconvenienced. I suspect that Microsoft and Comcast are schemeing in this matter.

Go to Mail Preferences>Accounts, click the '+' button below the list of accounts and insert the settings, username and password as instructed. Some account types can be set up automatically as soon as Mail knows the emails address (because the server settings are built in), in other cases you will have to get them from your ISP.

Two people with the same comcast email adresses on two phones

It used to be that My wife and I shared the same Comcast email address and the mail came to both of our Windows phones. Something happened and she does not get Comcast mail anymore

I fixed mine in the Contacts application on my MAC. One of the sections under my contact details had "cards". Here was listed myself and the other person with (almost) similar name.
I deleted the entry under "card" and the accounts were unlinked and the merged data were gone.
In my case the "Google" card were the offending one. Once that were gone, problem solved.
