One of the frequencies on Verizon FIOS TV does not work, and I can't get certain HD channels

So I've had two techs out to check the box outside my house where the wire comes in from the pole. The problem is I cannot get HD TBS, TNT, Fox Sports 1, Comedy Central and many other channels. These channels come in over the frequency that kicks out a fault (I saw when the 2nd tech came in and hooked my coax from the box outside my house directly into the tester)
The tech confirmed it was not coax in my house, but connections outside. he changed those connections and then all of a sudden it worked.
Two days later, not working again.
Verizon is incapable of figuring this out or setting me up with an appointment that is not in the middle of the work week at 2pm (i've already taken two days off from work to try and get this fixed...shall I just take a week long vacation and devote it to them?)
Anybody ever run into this and figured out a way to fix it yourself, since Verizon hasn't a clue?

Your issue has been escalated to a Verizon agent. Before the agent can begin assisting you, they will need to collect further information from you.
Please go to your profile page for the forum, and look in the middle, right at the top where you will find an area titled "My Support Cases". You can reach your profile page by clicking on your name beside your post, or at the top left of this page underneath the title of the board.
Under “My Support Cases” you will find a link to the private board where you and the agent may exchange information. This should be checked on a frequent basis as the agent may be waiting for information from you before they can proceed with any actions.
To ensure you know when they have responded to you, at the top of your support case there is a drop down menu for support case options. Open that and choose "subscribe".
Please keep all correspondence regarding your issue in the private support portal.

You must get 10.6 if they still have it, install it & update to 10.6.8 so you have the App Store to buy & download the huge 10.8 Installer.(10.9/Mavericks is the only download avaiable now without specially calling Apple).

The window to select dimensions simply does not appear and I can't move forward, due to variables exit in the report

I am having an issue when I try to create a WEBI document using Bex query through OLAP connection (Bics).
Due to variables exit, it is not possible to open query pannel in webi to choose wich dimensions to add to the webi document.
The window to select dimensions simply does not appear and I can't move forward!
In RSRT ou Bex Analyzer, the query is running fine without errors.
CMOD code is like this (I believe there is not any error as it is working flawless on other reports for other variable names):

I solved it.
The problem was due to date coming to exit - as you know some time intervals start at 01-01-1000, and as I was calculating 1000-1 = 999
I was getting and interval from 99901 to 201405. Do not know if it was not working because CHAR NUMC6 was failing trying to recognize interval 99901 - 201405, but probably, this was the issue.

What iPhone do you have? You can check in settings>>general>> about.
If you have a 3G you cannot update beyond iOS 4.2.1. The 3G is over 4 years old an was discontinued over 2 1/2 years ago. You need the latest ios to run the latest versions of some apps. If you have a 3GS you can update.
If your phone is not responding, reset it by pressing and holding down both the home button ad lock/ sleep button simultaneously until the Apple logo appears.

Permanent vertical blue line the screen and a red one has just popped up too. What does it mean and how can I get rid of them?

I have had a permanent vertical blue line on the right side of my imac screen for some time now. It does not affect the use of the computer. A red one has popped up on the right side of the screen and is not going away either.

Best guess is that either your GPU or LCD is failing. You should take it to the nearest Apple Store or AASP for proper diagnostic. Once you know what the problem is you can decide wether or not it's worth repairing.

One of the USB ports on MacBook Pro does not work.

I purchased a MacBook Pro in Jan '11. Both the USB ports on the laptop were working fine. Recently, I have noticed, any external device connected to the USB port, towards the battery side does not recognize the connection.
Any solutions ?. Is this defect covered under warranty ?.

Try resetting the SMC.
SMC RESET
Shut down the computer.
Plug in the MagSafe power adapter to a power source, connecting it to the Mac if its not already connected.
On the built-in keyboard, press the (left side) Shift-Control-Option keys and the power button at the same time.
Release all the keys and the power button at the same time.
Press the power button to turn on the computer.

Iran Malware antibytes and Spybot search and destroy after updating them both for the latest updates and so far not one of the pop ups .It is mid afternoon here in Australia and tonight will be the biggest test. Ack! Spaces is not working and I can't get to the system prefs!

So i thought I'd give "Spaces" another try. I clicked the button to turn it all and everything went haywire.
2 dozen apps open, several with dozens of windows each.
And now I can't get to them. I can switch to them via dock or command-tab, but none of the windows are visible. This includes, unfortunately, the actual system preferences window, which would allow me to shut spaces off.
If I press F19, all the windows for everything become visible, but if I try to click on any of them, they all disappear.
I have tried navigating through the spaces using my arrow keys, and while I do get the spaces indicator window popping up showing me shifting from space to space, most of the applications fail to appear.
I know I could just reboot and that would probably let me back in control, but I don't want to just crash out the apps I have up with the multiple windows open!

Rebooting won't just 'crash' the apps. They are told to quit by Finder so that the restart will proceed in an orderly way.
If an application has a file open, it should pop up with a request to save option.
If it does, and finder won't let you click on the option you want, then you're in a bind anyway. If you can't bring up Activity Monitor and quit applications from there, then you will need to do a 'force quit' - Command + Option + Escape and choose to shut down the applications you can.
Although it's never recommended, you will probably need to just force the system down and reboot. Repair Permissions whenever you have to 'force' anything.

I seriously doubt that Apple will accept your iPad for service/exchange since it sounds like it's a real basket case. If they
Do accept it, the cost would be 99USD, but if it is a 64Gb model it will cost 199USD. The best thing for you to do is to take it into the nearest Apple store to see if they will accept it for repair/exchange. I can tell you that they definitely will not give you an iPhone in exchange.

I have an image sequence in JPG and when I select open image sequence, select all does not work and I can only highlight one frame at a time. I want to import these frames into QT7 to make a time lapse clip. Any suggestions

I have an image sequence in JPG that I want to import into quitck time 7 for making a time lapse clip.   It has an option to open the image sequence, but when I do, it only lets me highlight one frame at a time. The select all option seems to do nothing when I click on it trying to highlight all the frames.
      If QT7 is not designed to perform this function, is there another alternative?   iMovie is non intuitive for this kind of operation and I cannot find a clear tutorial for using it to make time lapse clips from a sequence of still frames.
       The tutorials Ive found on YouTube are well intended, but they all seem to leave out a vital step that eludes detection.
Anyway, any help appreciated.

Yes, I tried that.   The files were ordered by their original numbers as imported from the camera, but I batched them through Phocoshop to downsize all of them into a more manageable file size.   I opened that destination folder from quick time from where it said select image sequence.   I clicked on the first one and opened it.   The result was a large image with an arrow indicating a movie was ready to go.   When I pressed the arrow, though, I realized it had only imported that one frame so there was no movie.   The files are Jpgs and are about 450 KB each.
    To your knowledge are there any links to iMovie tutorials or quick time tutorials that may address this situation? Maybe there will be one I haven't looked at yet.

I went through this a couple of years ago when I built a new desktop. I needed to move my copy of PS CS5 to the new desktop and couldn't get the Deactivate system to work. I had installed PS CS5 on 2 different computers, older desktop and newer notebook.
After calling Adobe, IIRC (that was when you could actually call them), I was told not to worry about it. Just uninstall from the old computer, and or Don't Ever Use CS5 on the old computer again, and install it to the new one. I didn't have any problems. Activation went through without any problems.
