One Warning regarding oc4j

OC4J's level of compliance to specifications is very high... and unfortunately Oracle's thin JDBC drivers are not completely JDBC2.0 compliant. You will find that oracle's drivers have several different non-standard ways to write LOBs which is what all oracle's docs are based on... but the JDBC2.0 compliant way of writing LOBs gives the thin driver problems. Basicly writing LOBs over 4K doesnt work. The OCI8 drivers does work though. Unfortunately an OCI8 driver does not yet exist for Linux :(
Hopefully oracle will change this soon!!!

I think I have mountain lion OS X....I have done I think almost every suggestion I've seen in discussion boards.
Boot in recovery repaired disk...ok...repair disk permission...all repaired but one warning...I've tried to reinstall lion (without losing data) and it Got all the way to one minute to be done and then the time change back two hours and kept doing this all night long. I haven't done a back up due to no external for time machine.
I hope someone can please help me I've been going crazy for a week now trying to figure this out. I use my computer for school and I'm currently very behind from in my school work thank you
Also I've checked my available space 424.91 free of 750 gigs....disk is verified

Try holding the Shift key while your Mac is starting to start into safe mode. Then, after starting in safe mode, open Finder, select Go menu (on the menu bar) > Go to Folder, and type /Library/StartupItems. Then, empty this folder and restart the Mac.
If your Mac starts after doing this, it was a problem with a third-party app that starts automatically when you turn on the computer. It won't start automatically anymore after doing that

I'm using Oracle JDeveloper 10.1.3.1 to develop some app. Database is Oracle XE 10.2.0. Application server is Oracle Aplication Server 10.1.3.1
After create a needed code, I' v tried establish Connection Pool. When I' v tested connection, next errors was occurred:
Unable to establish connection for one or more OC4J instances<<
Home on admin.FRIEND-6843859F - Failed due to error: "Exception occurred testing connection. Exception: java.sql.SQLException: invalid arguments in call."<<"FRIEND-6843859F " is Computer name where Application server is installed.
--Database is started.
--App.server processes are started.
How can I solve this problem?

I have the following questions on deploying applications on OC4J:
1. What is the best practice for deploying applications on OC4J?
2. Should I deploy only One application per OC4J Instance or multiple applications per OC4J Instance.
3. If I decide to deploy more then one application on one OC4J Instance, for this OC4J Instance, should I increase default_island property to add the number of processes within an OC4J Instance

You really should read the 9iAS Performance and Tuning Guide. There is no specific recommendation. It is
highly dependent on your specific applications.
You can deploy more than one application per OC4J instance and if you have a high performance machine you will probably want to run more than one JVM per OC4J
instance. If you are running applications which create sessions and replicate state across JVM's then
you may want to create multiple islands to limit the scope of replication.

Why does Test-EcpConnectivity throws a warning regarding the internal URL property not being set, when in fact it is set?

I have setup an Exchange 2013 CU6 environment which contains the following:
1 machine with client access role
3 machine with mailbox role
1 machine with both client access and mailbox server role.
When I run the Test-EcpConnectivity against the machine which has both roles I get the following:
WARNING: The test couldn't test the internal URL of this virtual directory, because the InternalURL property isn't set.
But when I run "Get-EcpVirtualDirectory|fl" against the same machine, it shows that internal url property is set.
Why is this happening and how can it be solved?

The Test-OwaConnectivity cmdlet has been deprecated. It is recommended to use the
Get-ServerHealth cmdlet to monitor server state.

To add this, i recently faced the similar issue.
1)Stop OBI server
2)Stop Presentationserver
3)Stop OC4j
4)Kill if any other process manually which says port already in use.
start the oc4j,do MORE OC4J - if u need any assistance.
This doesn't even start or stop if someone opened the OBI web page (port already in use) unless we kill it manually.

How to return more then one value in OC4J

Hi,
do I really need to create a serializable object + interface with an reader and writer to pass more then 2 variables back to the client ?
Must this object a java bean ?
.. or does anybody know an easier way to solve this problems.

What is your client, and what are you using on the server? Are you trying to return values from a servlet to a web page, or from a servlet to a JSP, or from a EJB to a Java client?

We have some services currentliy implementet as PL/SQL stored Procedures on Oracle. They are now accessable with DCE and C-clients.
The task is now to implement the services as Web-Services with SOAP. For that we want to use the OC4J. - as an SOAP Server.
But unforunatly the only examples I found are returning only one parameter.
The Java books learned me to create a class and an interface to pass more parameter to the client. This interface should be inherit from Serializable.
The compiler is happy, the deployment is ok. But when I try to get the wsdl and stub I get something like: "must be an bean" or "have to be a reader and write property.
From my point of view this looks very complicated. I want to use SOAP and therefore all parameters should be passed with one call and the parameter should be explained in the WSDL so that they could be used independed of the programming language and plattform.
When I implement the read and write methods I will pass the parameters in one stream. When I only use Java I think this is a solution - but what is with C or other languages.

One issue regarding update open Qty. of PO in PP/DS after goods receipt through interface.

Dear experts:
We are implementing APO-PP/DS integrated with Non-SAP ERP system, as the standard CIF can’t be used between ERP and APO, we have to use BAPI to transfer data.
Now we are facing a problem, after final confirmation & goods receipt of production order in ERP, the open quantity of production order should be updated in PP/DS, but we can’t find any BAPI can help on this.
We’ve tried BAPI_MOSRVAPS_CONFHEADMULTI and BAPI_MOSRVAPS_CONFOPRMULTI for production order confirmation, but failed, as SAP said, confirmation without goods receipt will not update the order open quantity. We also tried BAPI_MOSRVAPS_SAVEMULTI3 to change the receipt quantity, but failed, as after partial confirmation, the quantity of production order can’t be changed, but we can’t find a field of “open quantity” (open quantity = total quantity – delivery quantity) in the BAPI. So how can we update the open quantity of production order in PP/DS after goods receipt from ERP?

One query regarding custom report of FBL5 trnsaction.

I had had to add some additional fields to the custom report of the transaction FBL5. up till now i have added the fields to the display layout variant,its getting populated also.But thing is whatever header information it was coming on the top of ALV list in the output of the standard report FBL5,it is in not coming my report.
I am not able to locate it from the code that where is it happening.
can anybody help me in this regard.

What is the warning you are reading about ?
This is probably not really a Firefox support question if it relates to Search engines.
The Google Search used is an HTTPS version and so that helps with security. Firefox itself has some security features built in. You may find these articles of interest.

Warning regarding disk not being ejected properly

I continually and sporadically get a screen warning that "the disk was not ejected properly" when no disk has been removed from the system. What problem would this indicate? How can it be resolved? Thanks for any help you can give me.

Many of those WD drive cases, the drive was part of the case, which was news to me.

maybe you can cut down on clutter in the process.
The ideal would be a PCIe SATA controller in your Mac Pro, then connect drive cases, and you can have 2-4 drives per case and their own power adapter and supply.
It may have seemed cheap and simple to just start with a single drive for a need but at some point... consolidate your drives if possible.
I would not use a Passport unless you travel with it, they are more commonly used by laptop owners. They tend to put 5400 rpm drives in those, or green type, rather than a standard desktop or WD Black that is most common, to reduce heat and lower power requirement.

OWC would be a good place just to check - Sonnet and CalDigit are popular and supported, USB3 cards do tend to cost more, and support has always been at the whim of OS X and changes.
The above USB3 card though does say "10.8.2 and above" and is cheap.

Unless I'm mistaken, K would be a network drive, no?
Unfortunately RoboHelp is only one of a host of applications that doesn't fare well if you try to make edits to a project while it resides on a network drive.
Try copying the project to your local C drive. Perhaps create a folder named Projects and copy your project to a folder named Primo Intranet inside that folder so it looks like this:
C:\Projects\Primo Intranet
Once you do this, try opening your project again and you will likely have better luck.
