OnSync question need answer plz help
Do I have to specify a remote shared object in the onsync
event of my main application ? What are the consequences of not
setting the object in the main applications onSync events?
Because i have a remote shared object that works properly as
long as i don't specify it in the onsync event of the main
application........the object is being set as SO.data.slot0 =
SO.data.slot0*1 +1; in the main application
The initial value of SO.data.slot0 is being set outside the
main application in an admin console to the value of 1.
the reason it was causing problems is because i was
incrementing the number so it continued to fire ..........this is
the code for the problem [code] SO.data.slot0 = SO.data.slot0++;

I'm not 100% positive why this caused onsync to fire
continueously but when i removed it the onsync function was normal
and the app continued to work perfectly so i thought i would ask an
expert if there is any light you feel that is important to shed on
this subject plz feel free to add your 2 cents.

to use the USB Mic, be warned Logic can only use one Audio Device at a time, so if you use the USB Mic as Device, Logic will find no outputs. <G> You can work around this FRRREEEEEQUEENTLY asked question by establishing an aggregate device. Just to have you warned before The Aggregate Device must contain the USB Mic as input and your speakers (maybe the built in speakers of your mac) as output.
However, i would not recommend an USB Mic. Buy a decent 150$ Audio Interface and a 100$ SM58 instead, and you'll be happy for a mac's lifetime.

From EXE to Flash. Need Answers Plz.
Currently I have a game that is in 3D using OpenGL. I'm
exploring the idea of posting this on the web, and so far the only
Avenues that are open to me are Flash and ActiveX. I have been down
the ActiveX route and its ugly. So I'm asking you guys for some
help.
My Project:
- It is a 3D game which uses a physics engine to do
collisions and movements. I have looked up a Physics library for
flash that does exactly what I need called APE (Actionscript
Physics Engine).
- For the 3D drawing capabilities, I can use PaperVision's 3D
rendering library to render all of my 3D geometry. I have seen that
it can draw 3D fairly well for what I'm hoping to use it for.
- Also, I'm looking into using Flex as the builder and for
the availability of widgets for on-screen interaction.
My Questions:
- Is it possible to do what im asking?
- Is Flex really necessary for widgets or should I just use
something else?
- Can AS3 accommodate the types of features a 3D based game
has, such as realtime keyboard event capturing, Fast rendering,
read/write form hard drive, SOAP/XML parsing?
- Lastly, can all this be done using nothing but AS3 and
without creating any sort of visual design using the Flash studio??
Any answers/suggestions/comments are more then welcome. I
greatly appreciate the help.To the best of my limited knowledge it would seem to me that
this would be just as ugly as the activex rout there will be a
large amount of rebuilding necessery.
However take this with a grain of salt for I am no expert at
this.
I however am shure that it is possible just the difficulty

Numbers question need answer asap
I am in need of a solution that will take a running total and post that total to another spread sheet.
Such as a running total on a check book. The last line in that column i want to automatically have it posted in the second spreadsheet, but since it will always be another block once something is either credited or debited it makes it impossible for me to think of a way to take that last value and post it since that value will only last a moment. Does anyone understand my dilemma. Please help.Hello

at this time we can't exchange values between spreadsheets.
The only available soluce would be to replace the second spreadsheet by a complementary sheet in the main spreadsheet.

Upgrading from 10.4.11 to Snow Leopard - Questions needing answers..

I am currently running Tiger, 10.4.11 on my MacBook and want to get it up to current Snow Leopard. My laptop is about 4 years old now and need to know if I can upgrade it.
Secondly I tried to install it with the Leopard system software I received with with my Mac Pro and when I started the install it hang for about 30 seconds and then I got an error message to inform me I could not install that version of OSX on my computer. Did this happen because I was trying to install it with a disc that came with another mac or simply it isn't possible to upgrade anymore? I would be surprised if the laptop is no longer upgradable. Is the problem memory?
Do I need to buy the Leopard software and will it work.

I am in URGENT need. Plz help me.
First I will tell what I am doing -->
I am storing a table that was displayed in JTable, in a file.
Then when I click a button(Display table), a file chooser allows me to select that file in which I stored the table.
Now when I open that file I should see the table which I stored previously being displayed now in a JTable
My doubt -->
How will I read from the file the rows and columns. If I have the data being stored in resultset then I could very easily read and populate datas in table.
But now as I can't use Resultset as the data is not from querying a database; I dont know what I should do to read my rows and columns.

I will be upgrading from AMD Athlon X2 6000+ to AMD Phenom II X3 720BE, but b4 i do tht i just wanted to know tht:
My question is tht will there be any games fps improvements on 2.8ghz phenom II ???? ( not Overclocked ).Rather than get very technical, it is likely you will see a slight performance gain from the phenom II since it is 45nm architecture and has more cache.There are not many games at the moment that take advantage of the extra core. If you have a good GPU go for the CPU or vice versa if your GPU has some age on it.
