Opacity not working?
My photoshop brush isn't working right and I can't figure out why. The opacity seems to be stuck between 30-70% or so, and doesn't change. I have set the opacity at 100%, turned off all tablet options, and turned off fade. The opacity doesn't change. When I use a smaller brush, the opacity seems lower around 40%, and when I use a very large brush, the opacity changes to about 90%. This is without me fiddling with settings, just changing between the regular, round, hard brushes. Also, when the brush is very big, it appears to be fading in at the beginning, and fading out at the end, even though I have the fade turned off.
I have already reinstalled photoshop, reinstalled my tablet, restarted my computer, and tried using the brush with all kinds of settings. Nothing is helping. I am using a wacom bamboo, photoshop elements 5, and window's vista. I would really appreciate any help!
It sounds like corrupt preferences. Reinstall won't fix that. You'll have to do a reset.
First, reset the brush tool and see if that corrects the problem. (With the brush tool selected, look in the options bar (not the toolbox) for the first brush icon on the left hand side. I believe, it will be a slightly different color in E5 than the other icons. Click the little arrow next to the icon and select "Reset Tool".
If the above does not work...
The next step is to reset the application preferences. (Click the icon to launch the editor. Immediately after clicking the editor launch icon, press and keep holding in the alt, control, and shift buttons. Continue to hold these three keys in until you get a dialog that says something like "Delete the Photoshop Elements setting file" click Yes or OK. If the program loads normally without this dialog, you did not grab the three keys fast enough and need to start over).

So the scroll opacity will only trigger when the user is able to scroll down the page. If the browser is too large, then it will never get to trigger. Is there a specific size you want it to trigger at? A screenshot of desired vs undesired is probably the easiest
I don't see when the bottom one changes opacity, but I do see the background image getting resized which makes it change color. Is there a particular browser you are seeing this effect at?

Opacity Effect Not Working As Expected
Hi,
I noticed that whenever I animate the opacity of a clip that has a gamma correction efftect applied to it, the opacity does not work. Has anyone else seen this?
thxI believe that if you do not use the automatic ken burns effect you need to set the effect for each photo - pick one or two and with the KB slider to the left set the view for the beginning photos and then slide the slider to the right and set the end view - then it will transition between those two (I'm thinking that you can turn auto automatic and override it for just the first slide by making the start and end the same so the transition does not really do anything
Try that first (it is easier )

See the above post for more information - here's a synopsis:
CTRL+SHIFT modifiers are not working while running LabVIEW in a Parallels 7 virtual machine. This problem affects both LV2011 and LV2012. I'm not certain that this is a LabVIEW bug - could be an issue with my virtual machine environment or it's configuration - except that CTRL+SHIFT modifiers work in other applications on the affected VMs. It's just LabVIEW that appears to ignore shortcuts with the CTRL+SHIFT modifiers.
Any ideas?

Still well and alive in Parallels 9 and LabVIEW 2013 SP1. Of course I could upgrade to the latest versions to check whether things have gotten any better.

I am trying to add lightbox widget to my site but its not working NEED HELP
i can create the light box widget as a new page but when i paste the codes into the actual site it will not work and the images will not enlarge

SPRY menu bar not working in IE 9
Hey! I recently just finished building my very first website using Dreamweaver CS5.5! It looks really great and works perfectly in firefox and safari however the SPRY menu bar does not work in IE 8 or 9. Does anyone know what i can do to fix this without messing up how the website looks in firefox and safari?

This file handles the JavaScript for Spry Menu Bar. You should have no need
to edit this file. Some highlights of the MenuBar object is that timers are
used to keep submenus from showing up until the user has hovered over the parent

Spry Menu not working correctly
Hopefully this is the right part of the forum to post this question, if not, I apologize.
I have created a site in dreamweaver and am using a single Spry Menu Bar. I have read tons of forum postings about Drop down menus not working in IE, however, mine don't work in any browser or in the Live View either. I have a feeling it has something to do with either the div containing the menu bar or the sizing, but I can't tell. Please help.

I have a site http://www.webworksnow3.com/src id:src, pwd:src12345. There is a spry horizontal menu and a spry vertical menu on the pages under "About Us". When on one of the children pages with an active vertical menu, the horizontal menu "About Us" drop down does not work. Check it out on any of the pages "Our Firm" or "Our Team". It works in Firefox but not ie.

I was using a template for the sub pages and I was sticking things in the editable regions, not paying attention to order. I pulled the DOMUtils out and put it as the first <script> on all pages and it works!

Photoshop not working properly in Mavericks 10.9.1
So i have major issues in Photoshop since upgrading to Mavericks!! Ive seen this all over the internet, but didnt find a real definitive answer to the issue, so im just going to post my own delema in the hopes we can find a solution.
Since the "upgrade" to mavericks 10.9.1 my photoshop does not work well at all. Using my CS6 is a headache. All of my brushes "stick", that is, they fail to react to me if i want to, say, change a brush size, opacity, or even change a tool. This happens after about 3-4 minutes of masking, or painting in general. It even sticks when using the polygonal lasso tool. i'll have to click away from my project, say, to the layers palette, or off photoshop altogether, to re-stimulate the tool to react again. Strange. This slows down my workflow to a crashing hault. I like to use shortcuts to keep my work going and the sticking(as i am calling it)reverts me to go through a series of on-the-fly remedies in order to correct a problem that i never had to begin with, that is, until the lovely Mavericks update came out and was installed.
Additionally i had the other popular "white wall" photoshop problem, but after downloading a plug in that i saw in a similiar forum, it appears to have fixed that issue. Drop down menus would go blank, or white, creating a white-wall effect where you couldnt read any of the windows. The only solution was to auto save your work frequently, then shut down Photoshop and start over again. Thank god for that plug in. MAvericks you suck.
any one else having this problem? questions? comments? You godda be out there becaue ive literally read hundreds of issues like this.

I use Photoshop cs6, with a BRAnD NEW imac late 2013 w/ 32G RAM, 256G flash storage. i use a Wacom intuos5 touch tablet, and notice a connection between these key elements:

PhotoshopI am having a different problem, using Mavericks (10.9.3) with Photoshop CS 5.1 and a Wacom Intuos 5 tablet (6.3.8-2).
I used to have the white menu problem, but lately I'll be working along and then suddenly my brush tool, say, will turn into the hand tool, but still shows the brush in the tools palette. If I click on another tool, no matter what, it continues to show the hand tool. I can't brush with it anymore, so it isn't just a display problem. I'm often in full screen mode, and if I hit the "f" key to return to standard screen mode, the normal grey background switches to blue, hitting it again switches it to black, and if I keep hitting the "f" it will continue to cycle through the colors.
I've tried quitting Photoshop and relaunching, and would still have the hand icon. In the past, I would restart the cpu; today, I walked away and when I returned (within 10 minutes, probably) it was acting normally again.
This scenario plays out sometimes once a week, sometimes multiple times. I can't find anything relating to this particular issue doing a google search. Any suggestions? -
Text in Spry Slideshow, not working in Explorer.
Hi,
I have attempted to search for a similar topic, but am not able to find anything.
I have input the spry slideshow into my page, and it is fully functional for safari, chrome, firefox, but seems like it is only not working in IE.
The text that is supposed to be showing up to the right of the images is not showing with IE.
I had read a couple things on opacity, or such but am not sure if it applies to the text as well.

Effects and key-frames not working on some clips Premiere CC 2014
Hi. I am having an issue where effects and key frames applied to both audio and video are not working, but only sometimes. Even after I render or export the video, the effects are not showing up. For example, trying to adjust volume using key-frames on some clips works fine, and not at all on others. The key-frames show up and I can see the volume changing in the effects panel, but it is not happening. Another example is changing the opacity on some video clips and it does not work sometimes. Same thing, I can see the key-frames and the values changing, but it's not actually happening. I have uninstalled and re-installed premiere pro and media encoder with no luck. I have uninstalled and re-installed the latest Nvidia drivers with no luck. Just to restate, this only happens on some clips and rendering or exporting the video does not help. My computer specs are:

Is there really something that I'm doing wrong here? Or am I forgetting something? Is there some special "adobe doesn't let keyframes work on mpg's" rule or something silly like that?
I wish that I could post a video, but I don't know how.
Please let me know what I need to do to make this work properly.

Spry Horizontal Menu Bar not working in IE
Hi! I am new to this forum and new to Dreamweaver. I recently used Dreamweaver to build a website to display my digital portfolio. I am not very good at this and don't understand much of this works. I inserted a spry horizontal menu bar for my navigation. I did change the original set up to have the background the colors I wanted and I also changed the size so it would go across the top of my page. This looks fine in Firefox and Safari but in Internet Explorer the bar displays vertically, which does not look good. Can anyone look at my code and tell me how I can fix this problem?
I appreciate any help I can get with this as I have tried everything I know.

}but seems .button:armed not work,why?If I take only the button:armed property, it works well (but defining -fx-color instead of -fx-background-color looks nicer).
If I take all your definitions, it no longer work.
If I take out the .button:focused out of the CSS, it works again. Looks like there is a conflict between armed and focused (because an armed button is also focused?). Not sure how to manage this conflict... I see that caspian defines focused as a background color, and armed as a simple color. -
Clone/Heal not working in LR 4.2 RC
I downloaded the Release Candidate, Lightroom 4.2 and found that the Spot remover is not working either in the Heal or Clone mode.
It works for me and others. What tool-settings are you using for opacity and size and have you pressed H to make sure you can see the circle?
