Open a pop up on click of a hyperlink

i have a image on my webcenter spaces application page which is hyperlinked to a document. i want this document to open as a pop up window instead of a new window/tab. Any help would be appreciated..!

Hi.
Hyperlink component is generated by following code:
<cust:showDetailFrame xmlns:cust="http://xmlns.oracle.com/adf/faces/customizable"
                                        id="#" text="#{componentExtensionBundle.IMAGE}"
                                        background="#{changeModeBean.inEditMode ? 'medium' : 'light'}"
                                        contentStyle="background-color:transparent;"
                                        displayHeader="#{changeModeBean.inEditMode}"
                                        showMinimizeAction="none"
                                        showResizer="never" stretchContent="false">
                    <f:attribute xmlns:f="http://java.sun.com/jsf/core"
                                 name="sdf_selection_rule" value="sdf_for_edit_mode_only"/>
                    <af:goImageLink xmlns:af="http://xmlns.oracle.com/adf/faces/rich" id="#" icon="/adf/pe/images/default_image.png" shortDesc="#{null}" />
                  </cust:showDetailFrame>Using this component you can't achieve your requirement to open it in a popup. You can find this component in the catalog-registry.xml that is used by your Resource Catalog.
One option is create your own component registering it in the catalog following next approach:
<cust:showDetailFrame xmlns:cust="http://xmlns.oracle.com/adf/faces/customizable"
                                        id="#" background="light"
                                        contentStyle="background-color:transparent;"
                                        displayHeader="false" showMinimizeAction="none"
                                        showResizer="never" stretchContent="false">
                    <f:attribute xmlns:f="http://java.sun.com/jsf/core"
                                 name="sdf_selection_rule" value="sdf_for_edit_mode_only"/>
                    <af:commandLink id="#" text="#{componentExtensionBundle.LINK_TEXT}"
                               xmlns:af="http://xmlns.oracle.com/adf/faces/rich">
                         <af:showPopupBehaviour ...>
                    </af:commandLink>
</cust:showDetailFrame>And the popup should be in the pageTemplate or pageStyle.

  • Safari 5.1.9 Why can't we set up Safari to open a new tab by clicking on a hyperlink?

    I have a MacBook Pro with Mac OS X 10.6.8, using Safari 5.1.9.
    I was wondering why Safari doesn't have the option so that a new tab is opened after clicking on a hyperlink, and to avoid the need to control click?

    I just learnt, by accident, that simply clicking the 'Open Apple' button the 'select' button opens a new tab when accessing a hyperlink.
    'select' is the word I am using for an older MacBook Pro button which is located at the bottom of the trackpad.
      Which is a satisfactory answer to my question.
       Cheers.

    Hi Jaya,
    This is how the code in get_p method should be,
    METHOD get_p_test_id.
      CASE iv_property.
        WHEN if_bsp_wd_model_setter_getter=>fp_fieldtype.
          rv_value = cl_bsp_dlc_view_descriptor=>field_type_link.

    I have a SharePoint list where i hae this title column which when clicked brings the display form.
    Can i modify it in such a way that it should pop up the edit form in place of dislay form.
    Thanks

    Open the AllItems.aspx page of that list in SharePoint Designer
    Select a title and right click on it. Format item As -> Hyperlink to -> Edit Form
    This will redirect you to edit form when the title column link is clicked.
    But if you want to show the modal pop up it edit mode, open the Allitems.aspx page in designer
    Select the list view web part, on the ribbon in the List View Tools -> Design tab -> Customize XSLT -> Customize Entire View

  • I try to drag a photo folder into lightroom 4 on my MAC, lightroom fails to open and a 'Corrupt Catalog Detected' screen pops up.  Clicking on 'repair catalog' does not work either.  Any suggestions?

    I try to drag a photo folder into lightroom 4 on my MAC, lightroom fails to open and a 'Corrupt Catalog Detected' screen pops up.  Clicking on 'repair catalog' does not work either.  Any suggestions?

    I'll have to get a better instructor on deleting the preferences since when I've doen it in the past nothing is there when I open LR the catalog is gone. I assumed that was what was supposed to happen so I start importing all over again.  But that is a different issue...
    The problem has been happening since at least the beta of 3 came out and I saw other posts back then saying they had similar issues but I assume it was a beta thing...  But since the full version came out and through each incremental change I haven't seen an improvement. If anything it has gotten a little worse with time.
    I have to try to be careful to not be in a hurry and start clicking around in the catalog as it seems fragile until it has cataloged all the photos in the library. When starting you will see the numbers populate the folders very slowly and I try not to click on a folder that hasn't had the number of photos pop up yet. Also draging the slider down to see more of the cataloge can have the same affect and crash the system.
    I wish I had more to go on.. I believe it may be a resources issue but as I went from 3-4 Gig I thought it would get better. I don't have big programs running but did have outlook and word running in the background along with firefox and chrome.
    And yes it only happens on this HP desktop (it's 2+ yrs old) and may be showing it's age a bit. My laptop which has less resources doesn't have the issue.. I have them sharing the catalog. (not at the same time) just when I'm working in other places in the house.

  • When I open last import and double click on a photo, a caution sign pops up. Any solutions?

    When I open last import and double click on a photo, a caution sign pops up. Any solutions?

    The ! turns up when iPhoto loses the connection between the thumbnail in the iPhoto Window and the file it represents.
    Option 1
    Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
    Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In Library Manager it's the FIle -> Rebuild command)
    This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
    Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

  • POWL OBN links do not open a pop up window in one domain

    Hi
    I am hoping to get some helpful information on a problem with a POWL OBN links not opening a pop-up only in one domain. The issue is described below.
    We have deployed the BP for Buyer 1.0, SP15. One of the iViews we use is the My Purchasing Documents and we have enabled the query POWL_PR_MY. Our Portal Version is 7.0 SP21, ECC6 (no EHP).
    Query POWL_PR_MY (My Purchase Requisitions) of POWL Application OPS-BUYER-POWL-PURDOC has links with the Purchase Requisition Number. Ideally when the links are clicked on, it should open up the Purchase Requisition transaction with the details of the item. This does not happen in our case.
    Our Portal Server is on the domain main.nex.com, but is accessed from the domain drs.nex.com. The ECC is also on the main.nex.com domain.
    When we access this application using "portal.main.nex.com", the links work fine as they should. But when we access the application using "portal.drs.nex.com", they do not open at all. There is no error message displayed. It just simply does not do anything.
    We have added *.main.nex.com to our local intranet trusted sites and have enabled pop-ups, added the proxy exception
    *.main.nex.com. All the Pop-ups are working from the other Custom Webdynpro application and from the other SAP GUI for HTML transactions in the portal from domain "drs.nex.com".
    I am not sure what the problem is, but we are facing a problem ONLY with this application's links. I am not able to see anything in the nwa logs too.
    Any pointers as to where I can look for issues?
    Thanks
    OJ

    Hi Malte
    No luck yet - so we are currently using portal.main.nex.com to access our portal until we find a solution. Will keep you posted. In the meanwhile, if you do find some information, please update.
    Thanks
    OJ

  • Safari -- can't open a pop-up I need to sign in to email

    To sign in to my email account, I have to click a button that opens a pop-up screen to enter my id and password but all of a sudden, now when I click it, the window won't open. I have everything enabled under security/preferences and I don't have "block pop-ups" selected. What could be wrong?

    Hi
    Welcome to Apple Discussions
    Might be a problem with the keychain entry. These entries are stored in the Keychain file.
    Go to the Finder: In your applications>utilities folder, open Keychain Access. In the spotlight panel, type the name of the site. When the related entries appear, delete them.
    Go to the Keychain Access menu and select "Keychain First-Aid". Select the "repair" option. If errors appear, rerun until you get a clean pass.
    Restart Safari. Go to the Safari Menu>Empty Cache.
    Enter the URL for your e-mail account. If the pop-up appears, enter the information. A keychain prompt ought to appear. Select it in the affirmative. That will store the keychain entry.

    I have made one Order Details page in OA framework
    In this page,when you click on one link, it opens a one popup and it works a modal window.
    There are many ways to come to this page
    When we come from Home page through function, it opens a Order details page,and if you click on link, pop up opens and it works as a modal window.
    Another way to come to this page from Quote details page
    On Quote details page, i have provided one link and if you click on this link,Order details page should open.
    so i have used jtfcrmchrome.jsp&page=<path> and it opens my Order Details page
    but on my order Details page when we click on a link, the pop up is not opening and it does nothing.it does not give any error.
    The code to open a pop up is following.
    public static void registerOpenSearchPage ( OAPageContext pageContext,OAWebBean webBean, String pageName , String imageID , String[] itemListToBeRefreshed , HashMap paramList, String refBaseFlag , String event)

    Hitesh, the javascript Api you are using for opening Modal window, is specially for oa framework, as framework uses the same method to open a LOV.While in JTT there is no such available API, for that you have to use normal
    window. open.... (in javascript)
    that you use in any web tech like jsp etc, and attach it to button or link click.

  • Open a pop-up from a chart

    Hi,
    I am trying to open a pop-up window from a chart (bar graph: user clicks on bar/column and pop-up opens). I can open another page using a url ('f?p=100:200:...::::' etc) as described in documentation / how-to pages;
    select
    'f?p=100:200: ...' link,
    a label,
    b value
    from my_table
    However is it possible to pop-up the page in a separate window ?
    Thanks for all and any help!
    sinclair

    You could use Apex's built in javascript popUp function:
    select
    ('javascript:popUp2("f?p=100:200: ...");') link,
    a label,
    b value
    from my_table
    You can pass two futher optional parameters to popUp2 if you want - width and height of window that pops up e.g. popUp2('f?p=100:200',300,400)

  • I want to open a pop-up

    I have Snow Leopard and am fully updated on Safari: Safari: Version 4.0.4 (6531.21.10).
    Safari will not allow me to open a pop-up at this site. Here's the site: http://ancientfaith.com/. On this page you will see a box titled Music and a button that says "Play in Popup." But when I click on it, it will only open a new tab. The pop-up works fine in Camino; it just won't work in my Safari.
    I have Block Pop-up Windows turned off in Safari. I also have Safari configured to open new links in a tab with Command-Click. I have tried unchecking that box in Preference and have tried various key combinations; but no matter what I do, the box opens in a new tab.
    Any ideas how I can get that button to open a pop-up window? Are you able to get that button to work in your browser?
    TIA.

    Thanks, Bee, for the suggestions. Yes, I do have Flip-4-Mac, and Safari is configured as you suggest.
    But I think I may have figured out the problem. A while back I configured Safari to open a tab instead of a new window with a single mouse click. I did this by opening Terminal and typing in this command: *defaults write com.apple.Safari TargetedClicksCreateTabs -bool true*.
    I imagine that this command is now preventing me from opening a pop-up window. Does that sound likely?

  • How do I get my computer to start opening up files instead of opening a pop up window rather than the file?

    My computer has started opening up pop up windows that say, "Step 1: Select File, Information Gathered Successfully, Step 2: Click Show Information Button", instead of opening the file I click on. This informaion windown has generated another pop up window that suggests I visit the iTunes store for an app that will open the file. Twice I have purchased apps that the iTunes store said would open the file. Twice the apps have made no difference at all. The apps did not open the file. Even more frustrating than being sold apps that don't work is that the files I'm trying to open are textedit files created with the software on the very computer that is now refusing to open them.
    How do I get beyond the pop-ups and open the files I created?
    Is it possible to return the apps that iTunes said would work, but did not?
