Open a terminal which is running screen inside the specified directory

I'm dabbling around with screen and so far I have conjured the following sheme:
I start my terminal with
terminal --hide-menubar --geometry-120x45 -e "screen -d -R SessionName"
What I want to do is this:
When I right click in a directory in thunar I have a custom action for opening a terminal at that directory. How could I do that with screen (because it just restores the previous session) ? Possibly open a new tab with the shell in the working directory ?
Bah, I know I'm not making too much sense but whoever can make something out of this and come with a suggestion I would be grateful

VMM 2012R2 UR4 - Version 3.2.7768.0
Not sure when this started happening since I haven't had to update or create a new RunAs account in VMM in some time, but every time I do, either through the console or through PowerShell it throws an error about The specified directory service attribute
or value does not exist. The VMM Service account is the same as it always has been, and other than this issue everything with VMM is working fine. The full text of the error message is below.
I am hoping someone has some ideas because I don't have any more at this point.

Hence if playing around with drivers on this system I would use glxgears to check that 3D acceleration is working but not to benchmark. Glxinfo does not give you all this evidence.
But to clarify, I wouldn't use glxgears as a benchmark, benchmarking is different and I do a lot of that too.

When Opening a file in TextWrangler it defaults to the same directory

When i open a file in textwrangler and a couple of other applications it defaults to the same directory each time. Normally it will remember the last opened directory.
This was only an issue when i upgraded to Snow Leopard from Leopard.
Does anyone know if there is something that can be done to fix this issue.

When I open Firefox it says that Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. And that I may not have the permissions to access this item.

There is only one user profile on the computer which is obviously administrator and the file that it says can't be accessed doesn't actually have a pathway in the section.

Everytime I open a website apart from popular ones, firefox shows ads with open/hide buttons which are not served by the website actually. What to do?

if i could show you a screen shot.... that would have cleared the situation. ads show up in left bottom corner with open/hide button in a frame. and the same ads show up in every html plugin on the webpage especially in facebook social plugins. however on google, mozilla, facebook, twitter there comes no ad like this. Its very annoying. I recently uninstalled firefox for the same reason but nightly is having the same problem. and let me tell you there is no such thing in other browsers like chrome and i.explorer. Use SMA to run commands inside VM created from WAP

I didnt find any SMA specific forum, so I post here.
Im new to SMA and have a question that I cant find the answer to.
We are about to deploy a new Hyper-V/SC/WAP enviroment.
We use virtual networks and I have problem to connect and execute powershell on the virtual machines.
I want to do some cutomizations on the VM after they are deployed (Windows Server 2012R2) from a Gallery item in WAP.
In VM Clouds in Service Management Portal I have activated an Automation with Object = MicrosoftCompute VMRole and Action = Create.
In my Runbook I check the status on the creation of the VM and when the status is complete I want to execute some powershell on the new server.
So far so good, but here is my problem, I cant connect to the new VM.
I have tried:

It looks like SMA have no clue how to access the new VM.

I get same error.
Because I use Network Virtualization it looks like SMA or VMM cant find the VM.
But how does it work if you for example make a gallery item that will install SQL.
In that case the server will be installed from the original image with only the OS and then the SQL server will be installed after.
How does the VMM/SPF communicate with the VM to install the SQL server? Bacause when installing the SQL server it mounts a VHD with the media and trigger the install localy on the VM.
So, somehow it must be possible to communicate with the VM without using NAT and go through the Gateway server?

What is advantage of opening a terminal as a login shell?

In many websites/tutorials I see that a lot of people like to open the terminal as a login shell. Is there any particular reason or advantage to do so?

There are a few settings you'd definitely want to only apply once, such as additions to your PATH. If, for example, you add
export PATH="~/bin:$PATH"
to your ~/.bashrc, the new directory would get appended for any additional login shell you start from within your shell.
As a hands-on example: I'm opening a terminal, so ~/.bashrc is sourced for the first time. Then I'm starting ranger, a console file manager. From within ranger, I start a new subshell because I want to do some complicated task. Upon starting that subshell, my ~/.bashrc would be sourced for the second time, and my PATH variable would look like this:
$ env
PATH=/home/runiq/bin:/home/runiq/bin:<rest of PATH>
This isn't exactly a major thing, but if you throw things in your ~/.(bash_)profile and ~/.bashrc willy-nilly, it will eventually come around to bite you in the ass.
Edit: Some more examples:
You want to start a certain kind of program only once: Put it in ~/.(bash_)profile.
You want to define aliases: Put them in ~/.bashrc.
A very specific example. You'd like to use the fish shell for all your interactive shells, but you can't just do "chsh -s /usr/bin/fish" because fish is not POSIX compatible. Put the following in your ~/.bashrc:
exec /usr/bin/fish
and this bit of black magic in your ~/.bash_profile:
[[ $- == *i* ]] && source ~/.bashrc

Finder window shifts content off screen to the left.

This is posted in the Finder discussion also. I post it here also in the chance this is a Retina display issue. I never experienced this problem with Lion on my old MacBook Pro, just on my new Retina display.
On several occasions the window in my Finder shifts the contents off screen to the left. For example, in column view, the left most edge of the Finder window might be displaying files listed in column 2 or 3. And even that is only the rightmost sliver of that column, showing maybe the last 6 to 10 characters of the file/fold names. There is no horizontal scroll bar and there appears to be no way to force the leftmost content (which is off screen to the left) to come back onto the screen. This appears to happen randomly; at least I've not noticed a pattern. I'm usually in Column view. When this happens switch between view options provides no solution. Minimizing and resizing also have no affect. Scrolling does not work, nor does using the arrow keys.The only solution is to close the window and open a new one.
Anyone have this happen? Any ideas as to cause or cure?
Closing the window and opening a new one is not a "major" crisis, but the fact such a bug is running around is undermining my confidence in the system.

Please post a screen shot of what you are seeing. If you mean to the left of the Finder Window, it goes under the Sidebar area this is normal if your focus is in the Next to right most column. Like this?
That is completely normal. The left hand side has to go somewhere when the focus in more to the right.
Although myh scroll bar does allow me to go back to the left.
