Open ESB for Java SE

The Open ESB development team has completed experimental work to allow running Open ESB standalone in a Java SE runtime environment. You can read about the groundwork at http://blogs.sun.com/mwhite/entry/application_server_platform_independence_in
And you can read about how to download it and try it out at http://blogs.sun.com/babo/entry/running_jbi_stand_alone

  • How about the Open Inventor for Java?

    Because the project needs NURBS,so we try to use this product from TGS.
    But we found it's not good for Java project finally (not support Swing,Serialize...).
    We will greatly appreciate your help for choosing a good Java 3D Lib which support NURBS.
    Any advice is welcome.
    Thank you very much!

    But we found it's not good for Java project finally
    (not support Swing,Serialize...).I am a bit surprised, as I believe that the current version of Open Inventor for Java
    do support Swing with not more restriction than Java3D.
    Also Open Inventor has a scene graph serialization mecanism (file or buffer)
    that might fit your needs.
    Moreover, robust support for NURBS is not that common, so if you are looking
    for an industry-strength toolkit, Open Inventor remains an excellent option, at least.
    A number of 3D projects have been made possible with Java thanks to Open Inventor.
    Well I must say that I am a bit biased, having been supporting Open Inventor
    for years :-). May I suggest you to contact TGS hotline ([email protected])
    to give more details about your requirements or complains, as Open Inventor
    5 for Java is in preparation ?
    Cheers

  • Open Forte for java project in Sun java studio enterprise

    Hi Everyone, I am new to Java development. I have a java application developed in Forte for java 4 and I need to open and compile it in Sun java studio enterprise. Could anybody tell me how to do that? Thank you very much.

    The recent versions of the IDE (starting with NetBeans 4.1 and JSE 8) are based on a more-robust project system that is ant based. Projects from Forte for Java 4, unfortunately, cannot be directly opened in JSE8, NB4.1 and later.
    If you do have access to the original source code, pl. try the following in the latest version of JSE or NetBeans:
    - Create a fresh project in jse using File | New Project. (For a java standalone app, you would choose General | Java Application from the dialog).
    - Add the existing files to the empty project. You can do so by right-clicking on the project, selecting properties and adding the existing source directories under 'Source Packages' in 'Sources' category.
    Or from the new project dialog, you could select 'General | Java Project with existing sources' option.

  • Open ESB Aspect modules....Help

    Hi.... I'm evaluating Open Esb for our business but message tracking needs to be high on the list of requirments for the solution. Open Esb documentation states that this can be acived through the aspect module and there are some dmos on how to do work with aspects wth net beans.
    My problem is, when I create an aspect module in netbean I do not get the designer just the XML,XSD files. I am wondering if Aspect modules are just a part of Java caps (full sun product suite????) and not a real part of the open esb platform? or if My enviroment is not set up correctly..
    Can someone point me in the right direction...
    Thanks in advance....

    Hi
    Latest distributions of Project Open ESB are not compatible with Sun Java System Application Server 9.0 / Glassfish V1.
    JBI is integrated with Glassfish V2.
    If you download and install Glassfish V2, you will get JBI.

    The demo you loaded is for Weblogic server, not for glassfish. You can't just deploy the demo and run it.
    I'm not even sure it has been done jet, but may be someone has successfully done it.
    Have you searched (google) for a solution?

  • Any open source of simple statistical analysis tools for java?

    Hi ya,
    Anyone knows any open source of statistical analysis tools for java?
    A simple tool which is able to retrieve the coverage, the number of threads, and a list of methods within the code will be fine :)
    Many thx

    If what you mean is a profiler, you can get it from Eclipse's plugin, and it's open source.

    Problem opening Macroleads Firetool and and Omnileads in Webfire. Tried to see if I could download what it seems to be asking for "Java runtime environment 1.6 u29." Thought I downloaded it, but did not help
    I've lost track of what I've done to solve the problem, but in any case I still get the red bar message that says "If you accidentally clicked no to the security warning, please click here to reload".
    Can't be clicked...does not work and I have no idea what it means.

    It is likely that you either don't have Java installed, or you have an out of data version. Go to [http://www.java.com www.java.com], and download and install the version of Java that is for your computer. After doing that, you should be all good to go.
    Also, Update all your plugins (Flash, etc.): [http://www.mozilla.org/plugincheck/ http://www.mozilla.org/plugincheck/].

  • HL7 Binding Components Open ESB build 200802120006  Running Inbound Demo

    After Downloading the latest build of Netbeans I've tried to go through the HL7 Inbound Demo here:
    http://wiki.open-esb.java.net/attach/HL7BC/HL7InboundSeqNoDemo.wmv
    All goes fine until I get up to the part where I assign the various Input variables to the output variables in the Mapper. Looking at the BPEL code it generates I see:
    <variables>
            <variable name="SendHL7OperationIn" xmlns:tns="http://www.chw.org/wsdl/sendHL7" messageType="tns:sendHL7OperationRequest"/>
            <variable name="ReceiveHL7OperationIn" xmlns:tns="http://www.chw.org/wsdl/receiveHL7" messageType="tns:receiveHL7OperationRequest"/>
        </variables>
        <sequence>
            <receive name="Receive1" createInstance="yes" partnerLink="PartnerLink1" operation="receiveHL7Operation" xmlns:tns="http://www.chw.org/wsdl/receiveHL7" portType="tns:receiveHL7PortType" variable="ReceiveHL7OperationIn" />
            <assign name="Assign1">
                <copy>
                    <from>$ReceiveHL7OperationIn.part1/MSH</from>
                    <to>$SendHL7OperationIn.part1/MSH</to>
                </copy>
    ...I see the following warning when I validate this BPEL Component:
    WARNING: To: The element "MSH" can correspond to different schema elements. But all of them are qualified. So a namespace prefix requierd. The following namespaces are allowed: {urn:hl7-org:v2xml}. Expression: "$SendHL7OperationIn.part1/MSH"Any Ideas. The BPEL Spec talks about having the ability to copy in namespaces:
    <copy>
    <from>
    <literal xmlns:foo="http://example.com">
    <foo:bar />
    </literal>
    </from>
    <to variable="myFooBarElemVar" />
    </copy>But this is not supported.

    Well, found out that there was a change on how Binding Components processes XML Schema's. And the HL7BC wasn't updated yet, but the fix is in the latest Open ESB build 200802121221 available for download.
    The feedback from SUN was really quick, Open ESB is still in development, but find functionality with build 200802121221 stable enough to use in actual projects.
    Cheers!

  • Open ESB installation

    Hello,
    Trying to install open esb with Sun App Server PE 9.0_01 (build b14) and jdk1.5.0_09 and the latest distribution of open esb, and am running into issues.
    Wanted to check if the versions being used are OK to go with in this case / any known issues?
    Help much appreciated.

  • Does Open ESB run as standalone application?

    Hi all,
    does Open ESB run as standalone application (i.e. like ServiceMix) or it works only inside an AS?
    Thanks,
    Michele

    Hi,
    I have not tried it out yet, but there is en experimental version on openesb site to download:
    "jbi-javase.jar is an experimental version at this point which makes it possible to run without an appserver. Just unjar the version and run the container with the following command: "java -jar lib/jbi_framework.jar". This uses 8699 for jmx port. If you need to use a different port, use -Dconnector.port=xxxx where xxxx stands for the new port."

  • Download open-esb

    Hi,
    How do i download the open-esb from the jav.net site?I am already a registered user,but its saying :
    Your account does not have the "Project Document - View" permission needed for you to access the page you requested in the open-esb project (view your permissions). Either ask the project administrator for more permission, or log in using a different account.
    How do i get the right of doing this?I have already mailed the project administrator with no replies.
    Any pointers for this?????

    Hey,

  • With Open ESB CD in hand, how do I get started?

    I spent time at the Open ESB booth at JavaOne 2007 talking with the Sun representatives and engineers about Open ESB.
    I'm glad I did, but I'm having a heck of a time getting started.
    I have all of the requirements set-up running on Solaris 10 development server.
    I've used the Service Oriented Architectures using BPEL from Java BluePrints, which really helped, but I feel I don't know enough yet to apply it towards real world projects yet.
    What other resources are recommened to learn more about SOA, BPEL on the JBI Framework?
    Thanks,
    --Todd

    Pinstriped_Dude: That's a very good point which I totally overlooked, thanks.
    I've been tasked to learn (not really tasked - I'm always happy to learn) about ESB, SOA and JBI - so far I'm taking baby steps and making progress.
    Thanks again,

  • Open URL from Java in a new browser tab

    Hi OTN,
    Surprisingly can't find the implimintation.
    In an ADF managed bean I retrieve String url. I need to open a new browser tab with this url.
    Found this thread Open a url in a new window in the backing bean which shows using javascript "service.addScript(facesContext, "window.open(http://www.google.coml)");".
    But in my case in doesn't work. The code is executed, but nothing happens. Maybe because the bean is called from a taskflow inline popup.
    ADF 11.1.1.4
    Thanks.

    Well, I'm afraid that is not an option.
    The goButton is in a table row. There are lots of rows so if I use EL for Destination attribute the URL would be retrieved for each of rows.
    The method of URL retreiving is heavyweight operation which includes calling plsql functions, working with strings and others. So if I do it for each table row my application hungs and then I receive an exception of CPU usage.
    That's why I switched to normal commandButton witch actionListener which retrieves url on click - only once. So I need to open URL from Java.
