Open hub exporting hierarchy

Hi
It there a way to export hierarchies inside BW using open hub? We need to send out hierarchies using open hub to BO Data Services.
We use BW 7.0 SP 22.

You can use TCode RSANWB to goto APD and u can export data from any infoprovider to Flat File .

Open Hub export of file without meta file?

Hi Gurus,
I am daily exporting delta files with Open Hub Services to server.
The name of the files include dates, so every day a new file is created and also a new meta S_ file is created.
How can I export with Open Hub just data file without meta data file?
Because every month there will be 30 meta files which will be of no use for me.....

Hierarchy Extraction using Open hub Destination

Hi,
I need to extract hierarchy data for Application code(YAPPLCD) using OHD. In the Hierarchy there are 4 components(Industry, Market, Application Group and Application Code). i need to get all the 3 details for the Application Code(i.e to which Indusrty does it belong, Market and Application Group).But HIerarchy table is having one record for each apllication code, Market, Application Group, Application code.
How to get relevant data for the application code?
My file format should be:
Appl.Code | Appl.Group | Market | Industry.

The SAP Open Hub service enables you to distribute data from an SAP BI/BW system into external data marts, analytical applications, and other applications. With this, you can ensure controlled distribution using several systems. The central object for the export of data is the InfoSpoke. Using this, you can define the object from which the data comes and into which target it is transferred, leveraging SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) as the transfer/transform mechanism.
SAP BI objects such as InfoCubes, ODS objects, or InfoObjects can act as open hub data sources. You can select database tables or flat files as open hub destinations, and then use those destinations as actual sources within SSIS. To automate the extraction using SAPu2019s Open Hub Service, youu2019ll need to setup a process chain. Note that both a full and delta modes are also available as the extraction mode.
As stated already with direct extraction from SAP R/3, once data is extracted out of SAP NetWeaver® BI (SAP BW), the destination of that data could be any relational database (such as SQL Server), and then reports (from SSRS) and multi-dimensional cubes (from SSAS) can be created from that database data. The resulting SQL Server reports/cubes could then be used within the Microsoft Business Intelligence delivery mechanisms, such as through Excel, SharePoint, PerformancePoint, etc.

Export Quanityfields with Open Hub

Hi,
i want to export an field (with type Quanity with fixed unit kg) with an Open Hub into a csv-file.
All other fields (type currency and characteristics) are written into the csv-file. Only the quantity fields are blank.
Do I have to use any conversion exit? Anything special in the Infoobject or transformation to care about?

RFC connection.......... You can check in SM59 tcode...Double click on the the desired Source system
or
RSA1-->Source systems and then right click on Source system and Check
To test RFC connection...RSA1 ....Source system....... Right click on desired source system >> Connection Parameter.....Test connection

Export data from BW to oralce with open hub service.

Hi Dear all,
When I tried to export data from BW to oralce with open hub service. There is no available RFC destination for this oracle system. That means i need to create a RFC destination for the oracle server.
How can i achive this, in SM59? But U don't know much how to configure this. Is there any expert can help me there?

Make a CSV using OPEN HUB including some nodes of a hierarchy

Hi People:
I have a requirement that needs to make a CSV using OPEN HUB DESTINATION in BI7. I'm taking the information of a virtual cube (SEM ). However, I have the detail in 0CS_ITEM. In this Infobject there are some nodes that have to be displayed in the file, but this nodes are the acumulated of some 0CS_ITEM.
My question is: Do I have to make an abap program to read de hierarchy and make manually the adittion of the acumulated and display it into the file? Is there any other way to get this target without making abap code?
Any clue will be great

Instead of ABAP program I suggest you to create infospoke..and it will show a message in which format you want to save..

Hi Experts,
I would like to create a multi source universe between SAP and non-SAP system. As we know the Jco connection to create a relational connection to access infocube data is not that great. I'm thinking or may be wrong in my approach that I would like to create a open hub destination of type database table on top of the infocube so that I'll have a new OHD table (/BIC/OH*) is created in BW database. Here comes my question that, can I query this new table in BW database via universe by creating a relational connection to the BW database server ?

Yes...In IDT...To build a universe on SAP NetWeaver BW, you must create a multisource-enabled data foundation based on a secured relational connection to SAP NetWeaver BW. Then build the business layer on this data foundation.
I would like to create an open hub destination of type database table on top of the infocube so that I'll have a new OHD table (/BIC/OH*) is created in BW database.
Creating universe on top of OHD tables is new idea, but while creating universe in IDT, we can able to select only below info providers.
Info Object
Info Cube
DSO
Multi Providers
Virtual Info providers
So we are not able to create universe on top of OHD tables. Please find the below screenshot.
Here comes my question that, can I query this new table in BW database via universe by creating a relational connection to the BW database server ?
No.....In 4.0 IDT, OHD tables is not one of the info provider to select while creating universe. So it’s not possible.

yes the best way for you is to use the DataSource 2LIS_11_V_SSL. You have here the following status fields: LFGSA (Overall delivery status of the item) and LFSTA (Delivery status) and also the quantities like:
WMENG     Requested Quantity of Sales Order Sched. Lines in Sales Unit
BMENG     Confirmed Quantity of Sales Order Sched. Lines in Sales Unit
VSMNG     Delivered Quantity in Sales Unit of Sales Order Sched. Lines
Only if you need also Open Quantity you have to use a combination of two DataSources in one ODS Object. As example 2LIS_11_V_SCL. Here you will find the field OLFMNG (Open quantity to be delivered).
You have to consolidate the both in one ODS object with the same key figures and both should update different InfoObjects.

Open Hub Destination - Hierarchies

Hi all,
We have a Open Hub that is based on the InfoCube FGL_CIFRS ie FGL Transaction Figures.We are exporting the Infocube data on to a Flat File . This Cube is built on Infoobjects like 0GL_ACCOUNT, 0PROFIT_CTR etc.
We also have Individual Hierarchies on 0GL_ACCOUNT,0PROFIT_CTR. We have a program Z_SAP_HIERARCHY_DOWNLOAD that can be used to export the respective individual Hierarchy Data to a Flat File .
We are now looking for a logic/Routine in the DTP for Open Hub so that we can combine these two things ie hierarchy selection screen( the output Screen we can have after execting program Z_SAP_HIERARCHY_DOWNLOAD ) for the Objects is also available after the Filtering option for DTP .The Result.. Flat file containing the Infocube Data as well as the Hierarchy data for the given selections.
Can this be Possible ?? Is there any other way we can think about this.Any light thrown on this is welcome.Promise to award points for right answers,

Open Hub Destination question

Hi,
We want to be able to extract data from a cube and would like to use Open Hub Destination for it. We also want to extract deltas.
The question is ..
Should we be making a single info package for this with delta capability ..
or 2 separate info packages .. 1 for full mode and another for delta mode.

Yes what you said it is write
from which cube do u want to retract the daat that cube will be the source
first create the open hub in RSBO tcode and
in open hub destination select aht and create the transformation between the table( to where u want to export)
then create the DTP between the cube to the table
and directly u can use the delta DTP first all the records will come and later onle delta records will be updated.

I have created an Open Hub Destionation with file as an data targert.In the file which i have generated which is having volume as one of the filed,with the data 00015(data length of the volume is 5,thats why i am getting 00015.So i need not get 000 before the actual volume 15,is there any possibility to change the length of the infoobject in the open hub destiantion or in the transformation.

While mapping in the transformation select type as routine then write below code,
Data : v_OUTPUT type string( or define someting for Numeric).
CALL FUNCTION 'CONVERSION_EXIT_ALPHA_OUTPUT'
EXPORTING
INPUT = SOURCE_FIELDS-volume
IMPORTING
OUTPUT = v_OUTPUT .
RESULT = v_OUTPUT.
then actiavte the transformation .
It would work...

ABAP routine in Open hub transformation

Hello Experts,
My BW consultant created a Open Hub service. For creating a .csv file from a cube.
For that he had a transformation defined between the source and destination fields.
I was asked to write a routine to bring the negative sign to front for one of the fields.
I wrote the following code.
>    DATA V_OUT(25).
>
>   CLEAR V_OUT.
>
>    V_OUT = SOURCE_FIELDS-G_AVVWHC.
>
>      CALL FUNCTION 'CLOI_PUT_SIGN_IN_FRONT'
>        CHANGING
>          VALUE = V_OUT.

>      RESULT = V_OUT.
there was no error in the syntax check.
Now, when the open hub is created/ran without routine(direct assignment) it works fine.
But when the above code is ran, it TIMED OUT!!!!
I am unable to find any reason for that.
Could anybody please provide some guidance on this.

DTP to Open Hub - How to delete failed previous request?

I have instituted the use of an open hub destination to export data to a csv file using a process chain.
Occasionally, the attempt fails and subsequent runs of the process chain also fail because the previous attempt is "red".
Is there any way to specifically delete the failed request from within the process chain?
The error message speaks of setting the "Automatically Repeat Red Requests in Process Chains" indicator, but I have not found it!

But what I am asking is how to embed this in a process chain so that each time it runs, it first deletes all previous requests. There is such a command for regular DTP's but not for the ones that export to open hub. At least they do not appear in the F4 list when trying to generate this command in the process chain.
Therefore, I am still looking for either the mentioned indicator which can be set for (all) DTP's or for a way to delete all related requests from within a process chain.
