Open Items with customer and vendors

Hi all,
I have to develop a aging report for all customer open items that also includes vendor open items where the customer and the vendor are linked.
Does someone knows how to determine when the customer and verdor are linked?

Hi,
In the LFA1 which is the Vendor Master Table , there is a field KUNNR which will not be blank if the vendor is linked to a customer.
similarily in the table KNA1 there will be a field LIFNR (vendor number) which will also be populated if they are linked.

    We are currently working on conversion of Open items. We already have data extracted from legacy system.
    Question : I understood that open items extract will have vendor number from legacy and conversion of vendor master will generate new vendor numbers. So what is the best way to update open items extract with new vendor numbers.
    Should be done via ABAP program using custom table to store old and new vendor numbers?
    What is the best approach to old/new number updation as this issue will again pop up during other conversion objects.
    Any help on this will be highly appreciated.

    In relation to your question about what is the best approach to  the old/new recoding, I donu2019t know it exactly.
    One option is yours: the custom table to store old and new vendor numbers.
    Another is to use the u201CSearch termu201D field in vendor master to store the old vendor number, and the ABAP program will look for the conversion in it. Furthermore in the future the user will be able to know the old code in case he/she needs to consult something in the legacy system. If you choose this option, I would recommend make this field only u201CDisplayu201D (not u201Centryu201D) in order to prevent the user from modifying it, once you have loaded the master.
    Other option could be to respect the legacy vendor numbers. It depends on the goodness of the legacy coding, technical-wise. If you selected this option, you must define the number range with u201Cnumber range flagu201D = external. In this way, when you register your vendors, you have to assign the vendor number, in this case this would be the legacy code. After the vendor loading process, you have to change the u201Cnumber range flagu201D = internal, and to change the u201Ccurrent numberu201D, typing the bigger vendor number. From that moment on, the system will assign vendor numbers automatically.

    In FBCJ after payment you have clear manually vendor balance in F-44.
    If you want SPL GL in FBCJ then write a Substitution .
    1. step 001 - Special G/L Substitution
    2. Prerequisite - Transaction code = 'FBCJ'
    3. Substitution posting key -- Exit (need help from abap) exit name
                                              G/L Exit (need help from abap) exit name
                                              Special G/L Ind Exit (need help from abap) exit name
    you can't do this without ABAP help

  • Opening Balance for customer and vendor

    i wana Find the opening balance of a customer and vendor. How do i do it? Shoudl i calculate it or is there any database table for that. PLz do help me.
    I have been recomended few tables like BSID, BSAD, but i dint find any field for opening balance. i didnt even find it in FD10N.

    Hi,
    Opening balance of Customer means:
    Get the data from BSID and BSAD tables.
    You have to segregate the data based on the Posting date field(BUDAT).
    If you calculate all the open items amount (all DMBTR or WRBTR)  till 31.12.2006,
    then as on 1st January 2007 this amount will become the OPENING BALANCE of that customer.
    Similarly for Vendor calculate all the Open Items from BSIK and BSAK and do the similar exercise using the posting date.
    So this concept of Opening balnce is always with respect to a Date.

    I did the query that shows all the open items by customer, and i want to know where can i put the filter to input a key date, and only shows the open items until that date.

    When you have created the Restricted keyfigures for Open Items, You have to add the date characteristic on which you are looking open item and add the variable there.Here you have to use a variable of type Interval and select the operator "<" the date of the Variable.If you go through, there are standard variable for keydate, which you can use directly.

    you need to have the intercompany settings in place and if they are there then you can youse all SAP transactions for your entry, Use F-02 or FB50 with the cross company compnay code as input for the 2nd line item.

                What is customer and vendor open items.

    Hello Shailesh,
    When you procure some goods from a Vendor you create a "Vendor Invoice" for it & similarly when you sell goods to a customer you create a "Customer Invoice".
    So in simple accounting terms you need to pay money to a vendor & get money from a customer (i am not getting into complicated cases).
    The vendor invoices for which you have not paid money are called "Vendor Open Items". Similarly the customer invoices for which you have not received money are called "Customer Open Items".
    The SAP tables for this are:
    BSIK --> Vendor Open Items
    BSID --> Customer Open Items.

    I have checked with the below table :
    Customer-KNC1, KNC3,BSID, BSAD
    Vendor-LFC1, LFC3, BSIK, BSAK.
    But these are not working properly for all customers and vedors. Also, in open items, there are items with clearing documents.
    Plesae let me know, how to go for it.

    Unless you are on New GL with document splitting functionality, no items on vendor and customer will be posted with Profit Center.
    You run 1KEK periodically to transfer the receivables and payables to PCA.

  • Clearing between customer and vendor invoice with F110 transaction

    I have an issue related to the functionalities of the transaction F110.
    I'd like to clear the vendor invoice with the custome invoice.
    Customer and vendor records are linked properly and the flag 'Clrg with Cust.' is set on vendor and 'Clearing with Vendor' is set on customer.
    Both the invoice are in USD and the amount in document currency of the vendor invoice is > of the amount in document currency of the customer invoice.
    I entered in both the invoice the same payment method (outgoing payment method).
    The error that I can see in the proposal log is related to the customer invoice and is:
    Payment method selection for items due now to the amount of USD          500,00
    Due items with currency USD, pmnt method  - items total is > 0
    ..none of the payment methods defined can be used for these items
    information re. vendor xxxxxxxx / customer yyyyyyy / paying company code TS01 ...
    .. payment not possible because of reported error
    According to the log of the proposal the vendor invoice can be paid.
    If I click on display proposal and double click on the customer invoice (with red light) I can read the note:
    No pymt possible because items with a debit
    Following the settings of the payment method used:
    Payment method in the country
    - Payment method for outgoing payment selected
    - Bank transf. selected
    - allowed for personal payment flagged
    - Bank details flagged
    - Document type for payment XX
    - clearing document type XX
    - Use classic payment medium program selected
    Currency allowed: This table is empty (will mean that all currencies are permitted)
    Payment method in company code
    Minimum amount: 0,01
    Maximum amount: 9.999.999.999,99
    Distribution amnt: 0,00
    Single paymentfor marked item selected
    Foreign business partner allowed selected
    foreign currency allowed selected

    Through BTE1650 you can fetch it . for this you have to  do some development.
    You can add additonal field to FBL*N reports with using BTE exit.

    i have one doubt we have activated the new GL in one of client for profit center level. while posting through any of financial transaction particularly customer and vendor there is no filed for input parameters for profit center. while booking these kind of transaction system pick up the dummy profit center. even our field status group for  gl master data and posting key made as optional PCA filed not displaying.    client want it should be pick up  automatically from line item and should be input parameters.
    how to resolve this issue please let me know.

    Hi,
    You are saying that u have activated New G/L, but are u gone for document spliting also or not? if you have activated document spliting customer and vendor line items not at all required any profit center because it will petch the profit center from oppsite line item automatically for giving tallyed balance sheet at profit center leavel, so no question profit center required or going to dummy profit center because dummy profit center will be locked automatcially once u activate document spliting.
    if you have not activated document spliting then customer and vendor line items may require profit center its depends on your field status settings, if you feel that it should not go to dummy profit center then maintain some profit center in 3keh & 3kei settings for customer and vendor reconcliation accounts, so that it will post to that profit center.

  • Charge off difference whening clearing customer open item with bank receipt

    Hi,
    Our company users will use F-32 to clear customer open item with bank receipt, sometimes, our invoice is 100 RMB issue to customer, the customer finally pay 99.98, then in F-32, we use charge off difference to post 0.02 difference to a account.
    The user then want to control this, saying for example, if the customer pay only 90, whening using charge off differnce, the system will pop up a error message.
    Can this be done in SAP, or we need to use user exit, then which user exit?

    This is done through customer tolerance group using transaction OBA3. Here enter the maximum amount in Loss under the Permitted Payment Differences. you are able to hold tolerance for customer clearing.
