Open ogg (Vorbis) in AME and convert to mp3

I'm looking for a way to convert around 1000+ ogg audio files to mp3. Just wondering why ogg files can't be opened with AME because Audition can.

BTW: I'm using CS6 updated to newest version.

Audition can also open Flac, but PP can't.
Two different programs, with different capabilities.

You don't have the right to convert any "purchased" file. You can download content (purchases) that can play on a TV by using the Apple TV appliance.

Mixdown and convertion to mp3 making sound speed up + iTunes problem

Suddenly, when I Export to mixdown to mp3 in Auditon 3, I get a track that has speeded up slightly and sounds almost 'chipmunky'. I have tried to look at the MP3 conversion status and that all seems to be as it was with CBR and MP3 selected. Everything 'appears' to be as it was but the sound tells me something different.
Also, I don't know if anyone can help but everytime I try to import audio from a CD, I get .cda tracks that are iTunes which means I can't import them. I have uninstalled iTunes (don't know what possesed me to install it anyway!) and have gone through everything to see if anything iTunes related remains on the computer but can't see why it is still making all CDA files into iTunes versions?

First of all: Tried the CDA solution and went into Folder Options and
changed the CDA option to Windows Media Player but the tracks still appear
as iTunes.cda and will not import into Audition - we have to play in real
time to record anything to the program. That one is driving me round the
bend!!
Secondly: the answer to the question below: I mix the session in Multitrack
and then go to File/Export/to Audio and choose the MP3 option from the
dropdown list in the box that opens. I type in the name of the track and
then click on Options to make sure the correct settings are in the MP3 box -
that is CBR and MP3; 192kbps, 44100 Hz, Stereo (7.4:1) - then I close down
that window and click Save.

Well the title says it about all. I have a newer Pavilion 23 A6 VISION AMD
I wanted to play a music CD and have the tunes converted to MP3 on a flash or on my Motorola Xoom. Let's just say a flash drive for now. What's the procedure?
Do I record them and save them somewhere first and then convert them? Does the Pavilion 23 come with software that does that? How about Realplayer or Media Player? I also have the Cyberlink Media Suite bundled.

Using Windows Media Player... typically, you would insert the CD and rip the songs (or all tracks) to the media/music library. After you are done ripping the music, you can copy the files to a USB stick or other storage device.

Opening .NEF files in Bridge and converting them to .jpeg files for Photoshop CS3

I currently have CS3 on one of my computers, and CS2 on my other. I cannot open my .NEF files into Photoshop, even after I try to convert them through image processor. It tells me that it cannot be done. On one of my computers, I cannot even open the images in Bridge. I know that my programs are outdated. Do I need to download something to make it all compatible and begin to work?

Ripping audio out and converting to MP3

Hey guys,
I have some footage of a local band that I'd like to strip from the actual footage and then convert the audio to separate MP3's for the guys. The audio turned out excellent from the show and I was wanting to basically make a cd of this performance with the audio using imovie 09.

When you export, select export to Quicktime movie then select sound to AIFF, you will need to use itunes to make a final conversion to MP3.

Ogg vorbis and streaming

I have several questions, any help is greatly appriciated,
1) I have been looking recently into the Ogg vorbis audio encoder, and i wondered if anyone had come across a java based version of this encoder, there are no licencing problems as it is free, unlike mp3.
2) Does anyone have any examples of how to stream audio files via the internet, i have found some examples that stream midi files and this seems relativly straight forward, but i cant seem to find anything on streaming other file formats such as .wav or .aiff
any help on either of the above would be great!

CONVERT TO MP3 ON ITUNES

I hv done the changes (Mp3) in preferences. When i try and convert to Mp3, I get the he create mp3 in grey whilst the create for ipod etc are in bold black.
What can i do to activate the convert Mp3 ?

tried with different files all mp4 but still remained grey. I used another programme to convert them.
Maybe i need to reinstall itunes ?

Convert to MP3 script

OK, I know if I go into advanced and importing and change my importing encoder to MP3 then I can right click on a DRM FREE song and convert to MP3. However, I always forget to change it back and then when I mean to import songs using AAC it imports using MP3.
Is there any script out there where I can just right click and choose convert to MP3 without changing my import settings? I have to convert to MP3 quite often and would love to not have to do that every time.

Take a look at QuickConvert. If that won't do the job for you, there might be something else on Doug's AppleScripts for iTunes that would do.

how can i open and convert raw nef images from my 35mm nikon into pdf using ps 7? Raw is listed under OPEN as a category but i cannot make it happen.

You need to first open the NEF file in Photoshop, and if you are really talking about the very old version 7, there is every chance that will be a problem. I don't even know if Version 7 supported Camera RAW, but I think it did. So I am having to guess because of the age of the version you are using, but you will probably need to download the free DNG converter.

I never use PS or other pro photo SW; only iPhoto.
My last PS is v7.
I run the latest Snow Leopard on my new MBP 17 iCore7.
All I want is to recover these files and convert them to the highest quality and most accessible format without having to spend my $, only my time.
Can anyone put me near this goal?

I'm not sure what you mean by "PS3 format"--do you mean they are psd files that were created in Photoshop 3? As far as I remember Photoshop 3 simply created standard Photoshop files that, if one chose to have extensions (which you didn't have to way back then) had a .psd extension. If the files are indeed Photoshop files, but without the extension, you can simply copy them off the DVD and add the .psd extension to them. Preview will usually open psd files. I do have at least one VERY old psd file that Preview won't open, it displays a note in English and French, that Photoshop 3 is required. It does open with Photoshop Elements 8 and the free GIMP. Why it won't open in Preview I don't know, perhaps because it has three layers, two of which are text layers. Other psd files with layers DO open in Preview, although they often look a bit peculiar, and files with just one layer, created at the same time, open fine. Also, iPhoto will generally open psd files, and even display one with layers correctly (as if it had been flattened), but will not handle files with alpha channels very gracefully, nor will Preview. The GIMP has no problem with layers nor alpha channels.

You need camera raw 8.4 for your camera, if it’s Digital Rebel T5 EOS 1200D EOS Kiss X70. It is not compatible with PSE11; so it’s a bit odd if that software was bundled with the camera except that it will work with jpegs. I suggest you download and install the free Adobe DNG converter to convert your CR2 files to the Adobe universal Raw format and the DNG files will editable in PSE11(keep your originals as backups and for use in the camera manufactures software)
