Is it possible to open contents in PDF format on 3120 classic?
Which app is suitable?

I think it is normal for books to take longer when they include multiple big size reports. I had a similar problem at a client. We ended up not including all the reports in one book and create several books instead. In another situation, we scheduled batches and the books ran automatically. This way, the users just received an email with the whole book in one pdf instead of running it on an ad-hoc basis and wait for the outcome.

I want to transfer ITAB contents to PDF.format. For this iam following above steps:
(Note: my output in Z-report1 is in classical format and year wise but in output it contain all 12 moths data so i want to generate new PDF file for each month separately if i run this report in background then it will generate only one spool request for all 12 months)
1) Z- report through which iam transferring ITAB comtents to memory ID.
2) then through SUBMIT iam calling new Z-report1.
3) then iam importing ITAB content to Z-report1.
4) Now to get the Spool no i want to execute Z-report1 in background (automatically it should run in background because iam calling Z-report1 in Z-report).
SO is there any function module so that i can pass report name (Z-report1) and it will run in background

Data present in internal table, now how to open it in PDF format

my Scenario is..
I have uploaded a pdf file in my database table through GUI_UPLOAD. It is uploaded.
Now when user click on some button then that file should be displayed again in pdf format directly.
(No download to user PC using GUI_download or something)

Now I need to open this PDF file in normal format as it opens usually rather than downloading it on users PC .

call the same smartform(Function generated from smartform) in your bsp application, get the otf outof it, convert that to pdf and show it. follow your previous thread and check the blog mentioned there.

Opening Adobe Reader PDF

Four months ago I wrote that when I tried to open Adobe Reader PDF for any reason, Photoshop Elements 4 took over and Adobe Reader was opened in PE4.
I was given advice toopen and check in a word document my file association and to "tell" the system to open in Adobe PDF format. I did that but whenever I open Adobe PDF for any reason (the last occasion was to download my travel insurance from Insure and Go), PE4 opens and Adobe PDF has to be printed from inside that programme. Nothing has changed.
I want Adobe Reader PDF to open in its own format, and I want to stop Adobe Reader PDF being opened inside the PE4 programme. How do I do it?
I do not want to get rid of PE4 as I use it extensively for photography. But I want it to stay with photos and stop opening for documents like my travel insurance. Thank you. Rod Colyer

Unable to open FR in PDF

Hi All,
We have upgraded our system to 11.1.2.2 from 11.1.2.1 and that moment we were able to open FR in PDF.
But the moment we applied 300 patches. from when we are unable to open FR in PDF format.
OS: Solaris
Does any one else facing same issue or recovered from this issue.

I have created a report region by selecting "PLSQL Dynamic Content".This region calls the procedure with some parameters.So i want this plsql dynamic content to be in PDF format.
For an easy understanding, I have created an application in Apex.Oracle.Com where i have created a Plsql Dynamic content which calls procedure do display in region.

SO, you want to print the output of the procedure in pdf format? If so, you can try apex Report Query feature. You can find a number of examples for the same in this forum and in the internet:

I have a requirement where I need to convert PDF form contents to base64Binary format and call the webservice to send it to outside world.
Detail Description:
I have two buttons on my application one "DISPLAY" & another "SEND". If user clicks on 'DISPLAY' then PDF form will be opened and printed. If user clicks "SEND" button then PDF form contents should be converted to base64Binary format and proxy class will be called to send to PI server. Please let me know any function modules or codes for converting PDF form contents to base64Binary format.

You can try one of the functions in function group SCMS_CONV (or search for others in SE37). My standard process uses older code which still works with SX_TABLE_LINE_WIDTH_CHANGE, then SO_SOLITAB_TO_SOLIXTAB, then

I created a table of contents in Indesign CS4 exported it to a pdf format. Now having an issue in viewing it in full screen mode.

When I open the pdf document it is in full screen mode and when I click onto a table of content link it is full screen vertical but not full screen horizontal. How do I make it full screen both ways.

You are not making sense. Are you referring to the way the PDF is opened into your PDF reading application? If so, what has that to do with a 'table of contents'?
In any case, it seems not related to a problem with InDesign. Try the Acrobat forum instead.

Are you still facing this issue?
Is this issue happening with all the documents you have. If yes, i would suggest try uninstall and reinstall. Or if the documents are located on some shared drive try to copy them on local machine and test again.
