Opening elements 11 photo editor

I cannot get my newly purchased elements 11 photo editor to open. I've tried opening it on the first pop up screen and I've tried opening it after opening the organizer side of the pop up. This is very frustrating and I have to pay to talk to someone on the phone!

I JUST BOUGHT IT AND INSTALLED IT. I have never had this problem with any adobe product. Just the thought of uninstalling it and reinstalling it makes me not happy. IT SHOULD WORK THE FIRST TIME. I don't understand how the main photo editing company makes a product that has this many problems. My elements 7 worked better than this crap.

Good to hear that you are running at the moment.
The causes for organizer and the editor to stop working are usually different. For both to be affected, I would tend to suspect disk space problems. Probably a good idea to check that you have plenty of free space.
Please let us know if you have problems again and we can try troubleshooting.

Problem with PS elements 11 photo editor

I have just bought the PS elements 11 and Premeire 11 . After installation (on Windows 7) and registeration the PS elements 11 photo editor constantly failed to open. An error message says" Unable to continue because of hardware or system error. Sorry but this error is unrecoverable". What is this error? and How it can be fixed. Clearly I need to use the editor. Please Help.

I think you need to do a clean reinstall.
Please follow the below steps to do a clean reinstall
1. Do a normal uninstallation from the control panel
2. Go to C:\Users\[USER]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\ and delete everything there
3. Go to "C:\Users\[USER]\AppData\Local\Adobe\TypeSupport" and delete everything there.
4. Go to C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Photoshop Elements" and delete the 5.0 and 11.0 folder there.
5. Go to C:\Program File (x86)\Adobe and delete the following folders if any of them is present. The folder to be deleted are--"Photoshop Elements 11" , "Elements 11 Organizer" ,"Photshop Elements 5", "Elements 5 Organizer".
6. Restart the system.
7. Right click on the "Setup.exe" and choose "Run as a administrator" and install PSE again.
8. Restart again
9. Now launch PSE 11 Editor.

Elements 12 Photo Editor stopped working

I recently purchased a brand new HP with Windows 8. I downloaded PS Elements 12 from Amazon last month and a few weeks in, Photoshop Editor stoped working. I ended up uninstalling it then reinstalling and it worked great for a few days before the Editor crashed again. This pops up: "Photoshop Elements 12 Editor has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."
I am beyond frustrated. I am trying to get a photography career going and I don't have time for this. I'm not very computer savvy when it comes to issues like this and honestly have no idea what to do. I obviously can't keep uninstalling it. I also don't know if this is a Windows issue or Adobe. Please help!

I'm replying from my e-mail so I hope this works! Couldn't figure out how to reply on the Adobe discussion board. But I checked the updates and it said they're all up-to-date and to answer your questions, yes it crashes every time I try to open a photo. If I'm in the organizer then right click a photo to open in Editor that notification pops up. So yes, the organizer works just not the Editor.
As far as the admin rights, I right-clicked the icon and ran to do so if that's what you're talking about. Like I mentioned before, I have NO idea what the heck is wrong. If it's Windows or Adobe...all my friends say I should've gone with an iMac. Haha. Sigh

First run Help> Updates to update PSE to v12.1 which is a stability update.Does it crash with every photo you try to open?Does the Organizer work?Does your user account have administrator rights? Cheers,

Have you tried updating PSE12 to the latest update and checked?
Standard troubleshooting steps :
> Disable all Non-Microsoft Startup Services. (Ref : http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/disable-startup-items-services-windows.html )
> Disable all the Antivirus softwares like CA, Norton,Mc Afee etc. temporarily from the computer.
Try launching now and check.

Photoshop Elements 11 Photo Editor won't open, trial info keeps popping up

Okay, I own Photoshop Elements 11 but the Photo Editor refuses to open. When I click it, a pop up shows up for the trial version of PSE 11 saying I should buy it. I already have the lisence for PSE11 so i don't know what the problem is. (Also Organizer works but won't upload images and I tried the CRT+shift+Alt things but the delete preferences popup doesn't show.)
I might have deleted a plug-in or something by accident, not sure if that would effect it but I did a systems restore.

I don't want to re-install because my account says I can't.
What exactly is the message you're getting?

Photoshop Elements 12 Photo Editor will not open

When I get the opening Organiser/Photo Editor page if I click on Organiser it takes me in, but if I click on Photo Editor it asks for my Adobe ID etc and then just goes back to the opening page, it won't take me further.
I've tried opening from the Program files and I've installed the trial online and then entered my product key, but still the same.

Photoshop Elements 11 Photo Editor does not open.

I needed to do a Win 7 System Restore, and now upon relaunching Photoshop 11, the Organizer will open, but Photo Editor will not open.

Your disc should not be corrupted and I am not sure why it wouldn't have worked. It is always possible that not deactivating caused problems, but I doubt it since you are installing to the same computer. The time you need to deactivate is if you move to a different computer.

Sorry for the trouble.
If you are working on Windows
Please follow these steps:
Try to rename SLCache to Slcache.old in the following location
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe
and
SLStore to Slstore.old
C:\ProgramData\Adobe\SLStore
and Right Click on the Photoshop Elements 12 icon and run as administrator.
Let us know if this works.

Elements 12 Photo Editor will not start - why?

Here again, everything is loaded and works except the photo editor. Organizer and Premiere work but when I try to use the photo editor it just looks like it is trying to start but then stops. I have tried from both the file folder and the hello screen, also as as administrator. No luck at all.
Anyone have an idea? Any ideas are better than none!!!!

Try making a shortcut to launch the Editor directly, bypassing the welcome screen. Go to:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 12
Find the file called PhotoshopElementsEditor (click the image below)
Right-click on the application and choose:
Send to >> Desktop (shortcut)
Go to your desktop and double-click on your new shortcut icon to launch.

Elements 12 Photo Editor crashes

Hello. I purchased Photo Elements 12 today via Amazon to use on my desktop running Windows 7. The dowload went fine, as well as entering the product key. When the install was complete, I tried to use it, but it told me that my trial had expired and then prompted me to purchase it thru Adobe. I had already entered the key so not sure why it was asking me this. After a reinstall and getting the same result, I went to Adobes website and registered it that way.
Now I do not get the "Trial" message, but when I click on Photo Editor, it asks me to log in to use this product and access membership info. Once I log in, it returns to the Welcome Screen, acts like its loading for about 2 seconds and then goes right back to asking me to log in again. This has happened more times than I can remember now.
How do I get past this to use the the Photo Editor? The Organizer starts no problem. I did have a trial of this software on my computer before my purchase today, but I completely removed it before I did the install of the paid version.
Thanks for any suggestions. This has been frustrating so far.

Unable to open application | e6 photo editor

I have formatted my phonr (e6).
After that I am unable open Photo editor. It says "unable to open application".
Also unable to see photo edit option in the gallery.

Hi Ziyaul Islam,
Thanks for your post and welcome to the Nokia forum.
In order to fix this issue, I would advise you to perform a hard reset. First of all, back up your data using Nokia Suite (Tools > Back up). Once your data is fully backed up, type *#7370# on the keypad. Default lock code is 12345.
The hard reset will dellete all your personal information, that's why a back up is very important.
Alternatively, you may also check for updates on Nokia Suite (by going to Tools > Updates).
If the problem persists, I would suggest you to contact your local Nokia care.

Photoshop Elements 13, photo EDITOR will not open.

Purchased Photoshop Elements 13. Install seemed to work with no issues. Organizer opens with no issues. Editor does not open; when I click on Editor, the blue loading bar moves for about 6 seconds, then stops, and nothing opens.
Any help would be nice... first time Photoshop buyer.

I don't know if you solve your problem, but I solved mine...
Editor would not open, I had to sign in, then Accept the terms of the license and it would bring me back to the Welcome page where a had the choice of ''Organizer or Editor''
The problem was created bye Internet Explorer. I had to go in Internet Options, Connections, LAN Settings and Remove the check at the bottom ''Use proxy server for your lan''
After that I restarted my program and It start working. I did notice that the check on ''Use proxy server for your lan'' comes back but do not affect my program to start after. It was on the first time that I was
trying to run the program after the install (what I mean, is I did not run photo shop before this install)

PSE doesn’t like your monitor profile, for some reason. It would seem that either your monitor profile is defective or PSE11 cannot read the monitor profile, now.
Try changing it to sRGB and see if the message stops:

The instructions are for Windows 7, so instead of what the very first screenshot shows, to search for Color Management, right-click on the Win 8.1 Start button and choose Control Panel, then choose View By: Large Icons and click on Color Management.
