Oracle 9i Developper Suite Run form

Hello everyone
I have oracle 9i Developer Suite and Oracle 9i Database installed on my PC on Windows Xp .
When I am running the form the first time I am able to run it but the next time when I run it I get an error
FRM-92050 :Failed to connect to the server /forms90.i90servlet
FRM-92102 : A network error has occurred . The forms client has attempted to reestablish its connection to the server 5 times without success.
If I reboot my pc and run I am able to run it once and again get the same error messages .
Any help from you will be very helpful to me ,
Thanks

I suggest you edit the DEFAULT.ENV file in the <ORACLE_HOME>\forms90\server directory and add the directory where you are saving your forms to the FORMS90_PATH entry. Most likely what is happening is that the OC4J can't find the Form you are trying to run so it displays an empty Java Applet window.
Hope this helps.

  • Unable to run oracle 10g developer suite

    Hi,
I have installed both on oracle 10g express and oracle 10g developer suite on my laptop running XP home edition. The database is running , but I can not get form developer to run. The error message as "ORA-12154-TNS:could not resolve service name"
My questions are: 1) does 10g developer suite have to run as client-server platform? Can it be stand-alone? 2) or, it is because XP Home edition? 3) Can 10g developer run on Express edition?
    Thanks.

    but I can
not get form developer to run. The error message as
"ORA-12154-TNS:could not resolve service name"Is the form builder software opening (appearing).
Are you able to connect through XE's SQL Command?
The error you are getting is because forms cannot connect to the database, and not because it is not running.
You need to configure the tnsnames.ora file found unde
    %ORACLE_HOME%/NETWORK/ADMIN/tnsnames.ora.
you can either configure it manually or by using the Net Configuration Assistant found under Start -> My programs ->%oracle_home% -> Oracle configuration and migration Assist.
    Manual:<Service_name> =
      (DESCRIPTION =
        (ADDRESS_LIST =
          (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = <hostname> or localhost)(PORT = 1521))
        (CONNECT_DATA =
          (SERVICE_NAME = <sid_name>)
)If You have XE installed your connection identifier would probably must look like something like this. you can just copy paste it.
    XE =
      (DESCRIPTION =
        (ADDRESS_LIST =
          (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = localhost)(PORT = 1521))
        (CONNECT_DATA =
          (SERVICE_NAME = XE)
)The port number 1521 is the default, if you changed it during installation then use the port number you have specified during installation.
    1) Orcale Developer suite 9i and above are for web deployment and not client server.
    2) what you mean by standalone? do the configuratin above and it should work.
    3) Oracle products are not certified for windows home edition (but I have seen them working) but keep in minde that you will face many problems since the OS is not supported one.

  • Server fails when installed the Oracle Developper Suite 10 g

    Hi all,
I am facing a problem which is that the server fails to connect after I istalled the Oracle Developper Suite 10 g. I am using Oracle 10g for vista and I followed exactly the instructions that were posted before.
I typed in the command prompt 'tnsping <my_database_name>', and I got the follwinf error: TNS-03505: Failed to Resolve Name.
When I deinstalled the Oracle Developper Suite, I could easily get connected after typing the same instructions.
    Thanks in advance
    Michael

The server does not work once the Oracle Development
Suite is installed. When I deinstall this Oracle
Development Suite, the server starts working again. I
mean by "server fails to connect" that when I type in
the command prompt 'tnsping <my_database_name>' the
operation fails. I do not mean that the client fails
to connect to the server, of course the connection
between the client and server could not be
established as the server is already down.Hi Michael,
On Windows each new Oracle install puts itself at the front of the system path, i.e. assuming that you want to use the new environment by default. You can correct this either by editing the path manually or else by firing up the Universal Installer, selecting the "Installed Products" button and then clicking the environment tab.
Name resolution is (ignoring fancy things like directory service support etc) done by each Oracle Home by first examining the contents of the network configuration files in a directory pointed to by the TNS_ADMIN environment variable, then by examining the files in the %ORACLE_HOME%\NETWORK\ADMIN directory where %ORACLE_HOME% is the oracle home for the executable being called. Thus when you've run tnsping you've picked up tnsping from the new developer suite install and it uses the files in it's oracle home to resolve the service name (and fails).
    You can correct this by
    1) setting TNS_ADMIN and maintaining files in one location.
    2) copying the network configuration files from the server oracle home to the developer suite oracle home.

  • Internal error while running forms in oracle application server 10 G

I am getting following error while running form in browser for oracle application server 10 G
    "Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, [email protected] and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log."
where to find the error log and how to rectify it.
    Arun

and at what time does the error occur? Upon starting the form? When you browse data? When you execute a query?
Also: do you use Bean Areas in your form? How do you initialise them?
Have you compiled the form against the same version of database and PL/SQL libraries as the ones you use in the runtime environment? Have you compiled the form in Form Builder? If so, try opening the form, hit Ctrl-Shift-K twice (!), then Ctrl-S, and only then Ctrl-T.
Do you start the form from another form? If so, has this calling form been compiled against the same environment?

  • Problem installing Oracle Internet Developer Suite 1.0.2.4.1 (Forms & Reports 6i)

    Hi all,
I am unable to install Oracle Internet Developer Suite 1.0.2.4.1 - specifically Forms & Reports 6i, Designer, Discoverer (ALL Products on Quick Install option on Windows 98 system). The installation proceeds to Install screen when the various files start to load ... Then the whole process stops after showing 100% load (sometimes the screen freezes, sometimes I get error message - illegal instruction etc) when the following file is being loaded :
    Extracting ... ewt_swingaccessbridge.jar
    I have another question :
I have Personal Oracle 8i (8.1.7) installed on D:\Oracle\Ora81 already.
During the install process (before I get the above error message) the 8.1.7 RSF-based product install location screen presents itself with the option to create a new Oracle Home and location (The preferred Oracle Home name iDSData and preferred Oracle Home Location D:\ORACLE\iDSData are already entered in the boxes) or Select an existing ORACLE_HOME. My existing ORACLE_HOME is
D:\Oracle\Ora81. What am I supposed to do at this point ? The installation guide is not explicit. Any help with these topics will be greatly appreciated.
I will be greatly obliged to anyone who can assist me with installing Forms & Reports 6i. Many thanks in advance.
    Sincerely,
    Partha Sur
    [email protected]

Had the same problem too. It won't install in the same directory as your database. You need to create a new directory on your hard drive and have it installed there. Worked for me.

  • Oracle Forms loading slower with Sun JRE in Oracle E-Business Suite 11i

    Hi,
After Deploying Sun JRE (Native Plug-in) for Windows Clients in Oracle E-Business Suite 11i (Note 290807.1) we find that Oracle Forms are loading slower than using Jinitiator.
Also the PDF reports are opening in a minimized fashion. Meaning the PDF reports are opening correctly in new browser window (as expected) but is minimized.
Customer is not willing to go live with Sun JRE due to these issues.
Plz advice is there is any additional configuration I need to do.
    Rgds,
    Thiru

When the JRE was installed/configured on the workstations was the jar cache placed on a LAN drive instead of the local drive? We have experienced poor performance with both the JRE and Jinitiator when the Workstation Sysadmins configured the jar cache to be located on a LAN drive. Also is the size of the jar cache on the workstation sufficient to hold all of your required jar files. It could be downloading the jar files all the time.
Overall our performance with the JRE is comparible to the Jinitiator.
Sorry I have not experienced the problem that you are having with you pdf reports so I can't provide any comments on it.

  • Run forms in oracle 11 g r2

    hi all ,

so  iam not able to run the form on firefox it's require plug in after install it nothing happen
    what can i do ?

Well actually in terms of running on a client machine it says this (under chrome):
    1. Browser support is no longer based on Operating Systems but strictly tied to the browser themselves, no matter which Operating Systems they are installed on.
    2. For information on Browser issues, refer to the Oracle Fusion Middleware Release Notes 11gR1: • "Restrictions on Specific Browsers" http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E14571_01/doc.1111/e14774/intro.htm#BHCEBHFC • "Rerouting to Original URL After SSO Authentication in Firefox and Safari Browsers" http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E14571_01/doc.1111/e14774/install.htm#BABCJGBJ
    3. Oracle Forms client is supported only on full desktop / laptop installations. Oracle Forms client is not supported on non-desktop clients such as mobile devices.
    4. 64-bit browsers might not support all features. If you observe any feature failure, use 32-bit browsers.
    5. Oracle Forms is supported on both 32 bit browsers with 32 bit Oracle JRE & 64 bit browsers with 64 bit Oracle JRE combinations.

  • Unable to run forms in oracle forms developer 10g

I am using oracle forms developer 10g on oracle application Release 12.
When i run form i am getting error that weblistener is not running on default port 8888. Then i changed it to 8000. But still i am not able to run the forms.

    Nivas,
In addition to running OC4J, you must also have your browser configured to use a Java Runtime Environment. The easiest - and preferred - method is to install the Oracle JInitiator as there is not configuration needed other than the installation. You can also use Sun's JRE, but you would have to research how to configure your PC correctly. The other option is to change your FormsWeb.cfg file to use the Browser Native JRE. Edit the formsweb.cfg file and find the IE= directive. The Default is IE=jinitiator. Change this to IE=Native, save your changes and you are done. This is not the preferred solution, but it does work.

  • How to disable direct forms access in Oracle E-Business Suite R12.1.3

    @Hussein Sawwan
    Hi Hussein,
I don't know if I have well formulated the title of this discussion. But I will try to explain.
I have a problem on my TEST Oracle E-Business Suite R12.1.3 instance. After login into the homepage, some forms automatically start opening. I don't know why, last week the system was working fine. This TEST instance is used by users to train themselves.
How can I make sure that the forms are opening only when someone clicks on them? I don't want the forms to be popping out automatically after someone logs in.
    Thanks in advance.
    Clamarion.

    Hi Clamarion,
Login as those users and check the preferences, or you can check the value from the backend (through FND_USER_PREFERENCES table).

  • Running Forms on oracle Application 10g(9.0.4) on terminal Server

oracle application Server Installation guide for windows states that
Oracle Application Server is not supported on Windows operating systems that
include Terminal Services (for example, Windows NT Terminal Server Edition and
Windows 2000 with Terminal Services are not supported).
My Remarks : It means Oracle Application server cannot be installed on the Windows server on which Windows Terminal Services are on.
Please consider the following deployment scenario
    Server 1
    OS : Windows 2000
Software Installed : Oracle Database 10g
    Server 2
    OS : Windows 2000
Software Installed : Oracle Application Server 10g(9.0.4) on which Forms and Reports are deployed
    Server 3
OS : Windows 2000 as Terminal Server
Software Installed : IE 6.0 , that will act as Client Machine.
    I have following Queries
    1. Oracle does not allow OAS installed on Terminal Server, will it allow Terminal Server( Server 3) to act as Client and to run web base forms and reports on it.
    2.
In case It allow to run forms and reports on Terminal Server ( Server 3) does it means thin client machines connected to Terminal Sever can access Forms and Reports.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Ankur Diwan

The bottom line is that we don't certify running Forms using the features of a terminal server to serve up any part of those Forms. That doesn't mean it does not work, but its not certified or supported.

Can you guide for me how can I run form on Oracle Application Server?
    Thanks all!

    Posting from another thread :-
    http://www.orafaq.com/forum/t/76916/2/
    i have resolved the problem
    the solution is to :
-download jacob.jar and jacob.dll and frmwebutil.jar all directories (com and jini), you put them into the both directories ORACLE_HOME/forms/java and ORACLE_HOME/forms/webutil.
-download webutil.pll and webutil.olb package , copy all files into ORACLE_HOME/forms/java and ORACLE_HOME/forms/webutil.
-create a new user webutil on your data base and create the package webutil_db using script create_webutil_db.sql
after that you compile again webutil.pll and you forms.
all this steps are described in this document:
