    also on reporting errors, please provide exact error(s) with error codes as you see and not the error described in your words. that helps clearly understand the problem.

  • Reports run in LAN but not in WAN from Oracle Application Server 10g R2

    Hi,
    I am using Microsoft(R) Windows(R) Server 2003, Standard Edition (Version 5.2.3790 Build 3790) & Oracle Application Server 10g Release 2 (10.1.2).
    I run my forms and reports in Oracle Application Server 10g Release 2 (10.1.2) successfully in client server environment. But when I run my application in WAN (our private network between different cities) then forms are run successfully but reports does not run.
    i am calling reports from Forms using following code.
    PROCEDURE PRINT_REP_WEB IS
    RO_Report_ID REPORT_OBJECT;
    Str_Report_Server_Job VARCHAR2(100);
    Str_Job_ID VARCHAR2(100);
    Str_URL VARCHAR2(100);
    PL_ID PARAMLIST ;
    BEGIN
    PL_ID := GET_PARAMETER_LIST('TEMPDATA');
    IF NOT ID_NULL(PL_ID) THEN
    DESTROY_PARAMETER_LIST(PL_ID);
    END IF;
    PL_ID := CREATE_PARAMETER_LIST('TEMPDATA');
    RO_Report_ID := FIND_REPORT_OBJECT('REPORT183');
    SET_REPORT_OBJECT_PROPERTY(RO_Report_ID, REPORT_FILENAME, 'C:\cheema\qdir_store\reports\pmms\backlog_jobtype.RDF');
    SET_REPORT_OBJECT_PROPERTY(RO_Report_ID, REPORT_COMM_MODE, SYNCHRONOUS);
    SET_REPORT_OBJECT_PROPERTY(RO_Report_ID, REPORT_EXECUTION_MODE, BATCH);
    SET_REPORT_OBJECT_PROPERTY(RO_Report_ID, REPORT_DESTYPE, FILE);
    SET_REPORT_OBJECT_PROPERTY(RO_Report_ID, REPORT_DESFORMAT, 'PDF');
    SET_REPORT_OBJECT_PROPERTY(RO_Report_ID, REPORT_SERVER, 'rep_pap_10gasmid');
    Str_Report_Server_Job := RUN_REPORT_OBJECT(RO_Report_ID, PL_ID);
    Str_Job_ID := SUBSTR(Str_Report_Server_Job, LENGTH('rep_pap_10gasmid') + 2, LENGTH(Str_Report_Server_Job));
    Str_URL := '/reports/rwservlet/getjobid' || Str_Job_ID || '?server=rep_pap_10gasmid';
    WEB.SHOW_DOCUMENT(Str_URL, '_SELF');
    DESTROY_PARAMETER_LIST(PL_ID);
    END;
    when clients in WAN press the reports button from Form there is a message "Page can not be displayed" appear.
    How can I run my reports in WAN, please suggest me solution.

    This sounds like a configuration issue. Are there different firewall rules that are enforced on WAN connections versus LAN connections?
    Hope this helps.

  • Deploying  Jave portlet on Oracle Application Server 10g

    I have installed Oracle 10g Application server, donwloaded and installed JDevleoper 9.0.5.1 and the latest Java Portal Development and as well as the JDeveloper portlet-addin. Now, I followed the instructions from the http://portalstudio.oracle.com/pls/ops/docs/FOLDER/COMMUNITY/PDK/ARTICLES/BUILD.JSR168.PORTLETS.USING.JAVA.PORTLET.WIZARD.9IJDEVELOPER.HTML
    On using JDeveloper addin wizrd to create a java portlet and so far so good. However, I am stuff on the last bit on deployment. http://myserver.uk.oracle.com:8888/my-portlet/portlets?WSDL
    Now use this URL to register your portlet with OracleAS Portal.

    Hi FormsEleven,
    When you say you can do this or you have done for demo then considering following directory structure if I have two forms having common form names how it will be resolved?
    Or how the url to access these forms will be?
    As shown in the following structure consider we have Form1 in sub directory1 as well as in sub-directory2 then how the link to access these forms will be?

  • How to Setup SSL on Oracle Application Server 10g Release 2 (10.1..2)

    Hi All,
    Can anybody tell me How to setup the SSL on Oracle Application Server 10g Release 2 (10.1.2).
    I have all the required documents like
    1. Oracle Application Server Portal Server Configuration Guide.
    2. Oracle Application Server Web Cache Configuration Guide.
    3. Oracle Application Server SSO Administration Guide.
    I tried to follow all this documents but still i am not able to set SSL for Oracle Portal Server.

    The Portal Configuration Guide, available on OTN at http://www.oracle.com/technology/documentation/appserver1012.html does provide some very specific information on how to set up OracleAS Portal.
    Section 6.3.2.1 Configuring SSL for OracleAS Portal describes various configurations, such as:
    SSL to OracleAS Single Sign-On
    SSL to OracleAS Web Cache
    SSL Throughout OracleAS Portal
    External SSL with Non-SSL Within Oracle Application Server
    For larger enterprise configurations, you can refer to the Enterprise Deployment Guide.
    Can you give a bit more background on what you are trying to set up? Which scenario, what sort of hardware, software versions, and so on.
    Regards,
    Pete

  • Integrate OC4J 10.0.x in Oracle Application Server 10g

    Ok, i have a Oracle Application Server 10g Enterprise Instance including Infrastructure on a Linux-Server. Its OC4J is a 9.0.4 OC4J following the J2EE 1.3 standard.
    So now Oracles offers a newer 10.0.x Developer Betarelease of OC4J wich will be in Production soon and happily enough this release implements J2EE 1.4 with real JAX-RPC Web Service Support (I need Web Services with Attachments!).
    My question: How to integrate a 10.0.x-Version of OC4J in an Oracle Application Server 10g Enterprise (v 9.0.x) Installation ??? Whitepapers? Documentations? Internetlinks would help alot !
    Thanks and keep the good work alive, oracle rules!!!
    bye from germany, marc

    Marc,
    I don't have an answer for you (sorry), but actually, OC4J stand-alone is a complete application server -- unless Oracle have hacked it so much as to intentionally turn it into a not complete application server (it wouldn't surprise me ;-) Perhaps OC4J stand-alone will be sufficient for your requirements?
    In case you are unaware, OC4J is derived from the "OrionServer". Unfortunately, their Web site is down temporarily, but these other sites may be enlightening:
    http://www.orionsupport.com
    http://kb.atlassian.com
    Good Luck,
    Avi.

  • Oracle Application Server 10g Release 3 (10.1.3) to 10.1.3.5.0

    Hello,
    I'm trying upgrade Oracle Application Server 10g Release 3 (10.1.3) to 10.1.3.5.0. Let me give a background first:
    I tried to install Oracle AS 10.1.3 but it ran into error because windows firewall was blocking javaw.exe opmn.exe. I had cancelled the installation. So ORACLE_AS1 failed initiatlly. After i identified the issue i installed ORACLE_AS2. This went through successfully without issues. I'm able to login to BPEL Console. But only after executing opmnctl startall in DOS Prompt. I have installed Windows 7.
    Now when I try to upgrade to 10.1.3.5.0 the installer automatically selects destination location ORACLEAS1. I change it ORACLEAS2 where (10.1.3) is installed. After clicking on a next i get and issue as shown in the below link:
    [http://www.mypicx.com/09172010/issue/]
    Can anyone please help me resolve this issue?

    Hi,
    When i am trying to install OAS 10g R3 on windows7. I am getting the error as:- Not supported OS press enter to exit the setup.
    Please help me is there any other way to install.

    hi all
    i am looking for Oracle application server 10g R1 version 9.0.4
    but i did not find on oracle site.Is it still available?
    can anyone help me out?

    Forms,
    I don't really have a demo per se, but it's not so hard.
    For example, say http://foo:7777/reports/whatever?param=foo&param2=bar is the URL. Simply put an af:goLink on your page and set its target to http://foo:7777/reports/whatever?param=#{an_el_expression_that_evaluates_to_the_parameter_value}&param2=#{ditto}
    Just treat them like a web link.
