Oracle Applications error in install

Hello everyone,
I have installed the OBI 10.3.3 version and I am trying to install the Oracle BI Applications. At the end of the installation I receive a message that an error ocurred during the copying of files (DWFilesBean). I look at C:\OracleBI\log\installApps.log file and I see this error message:

Hello all,
Looking at the log I am seeing a java error now. I already looked for information regarding this and it says that is a bug with no solution.. I downloaded the latestd jdk version and the error is still there, did any of you experience the same issue?

...I check all the related service and I can see all the related service are up except that the status of Application server is not running and the OracleCSService is in the starting status all the time.

Application Error when installing Oracle 7.3.3

Hi,
I am trying to install Personal Oracle 7.3.3 on a Windows NT 4.0 workstation (SP6). I am getting an application error during the installation. FYI, Oracle D2K (Forms 5.0) is already installed on this machnine.
Can anyone please advise me on the steps I need to follow to install both Personal Oracle 7.3.3 and Forms 5.0 on the same PC.

I don't think you can do it unless you first remove Forms and then install Oracle 7.3.3. Oracle 7 was not compatible with multiple ORACLE_HOMEs on one machine. Can't imagine why you would want such an old version anyway.

no, this is not the right area, you should post into oracle database forum, this one is for Oracle Collaboration Suite.
Your problem seems to be windows-related, if you want some help tou should try this on a standard windows installation, then if it still does not work post your configuration (in the right forum)

Seems to be an installation on Windows. Have a look into the installation guide and check whether all software and hardware requirements are met. At this time no further advices are possible.

Application error after installing NW 7.01 Trial version

Hello all together,
i have used the search to find threads with the same issue but there was non thats fits really to my issue.
I have installed the NW 7.01 on a virtual maschine with windows Xp sp2. as I did it before several times.
the installation finished without any problems. then I try to start the applicationserver but a windows popup occurs thats shows the following error "disp+work.exe Application error
the instruction at 0x0042d04a references memory at 0x00001724 the memory could not be written
then I have the possibility to terminate the problem by clicking OK or ok to debug the program.
I have cleaned the registry with the RegistryClean.cmd an deleted everthing and installed the NW 7.01 again. but the same issue occured again.
can somebody help me with this issue.

Uninstall minisap installation. Than change computer name lower than 13 chars. My suggestion a simpler name like "minisap" .In most cases Microsoft gives complex computer name like yunus-ax8323akdm . With minisap installation your computer name is host name like PROD QA.After change computer name restart setup and re-install. You will see everything is ok. Sometime you have to start manually database from SAP MMC (console)

Starting Discoverer Plus/Viewer from menu item in Oracle Applications R12 errors.
Here is some general config information that is suspected to be the issue.
1. Running Oracle Applications R12 over HTTPS.
2. Running Discoverer Plus/Viewer over HTTP.
3. Calling menu item that calls a function to start Plus/Viewer.
Function Definition called by the menu item is listed blow.
Properties Tab: Type=SSWA jsp function Context Dependence=Responsibility
Form Tab: Parameters="mode=DISCO"
Web HTML Tab: HTML Call=OracleOasis.jsp
Fact: Starting Discoverer Plus using a URL works fine in the browser. The login page comes up and I can look in to Plus.
The page that dose a redirection to start the Plus applet or Viewer web page fails with this error in IE 7.

Check that the ICX system profiles are set correctly for your Discoverer configuration. In particular the ICX: Discoverer Launcher and ICX: Discoverer Viewer Launcher system profiles.
When IE displays an error is the URL displayed in the browser a correct Disco URL?

Would you please provide more information about your OS and graphics card. Did you install the latest graphics driver for your graphics card?

SetupAdmin.exe-Application error while installing itunes and quicktime

Everytime I try to install iTunes or standalone QuickTime, I get the error SetupAdmin.exe - Application error :
"The instruction at "0x76c941a9" referenced memory at ")x76c941a9". The memory could not be read. "
and the installation finishes. After that I can see a QuickTime icon on Desktop which works fine but there is no iTunes icon.
I have followed all the steps of uninstallation properly as per these links :

I have also checked the msconfig startup taskbar, there is no Qttask.exe program running.
Please help me out.

Try installing QuickTime standalone, not regular

If that installs OK, perhaps the iTunes installation will go through.
If there is any error number druing either install, please post it.

Invalid Application error on install

I'm writing a mobile application for a final year project at university, and am trying to install the app OTA. I keep getting an Invalid Application error though, on several phones (a SE K700, a Samsung D900 and a Nokia s60). I googled the error, but none of the issues/solutions I found online (mostly incorrect version numbers) applied to me.

To add few more .
Generally the following contitue install errors in order of priority
1. Security and signing issues
2. Special permissions and JSR support
3. Issues in JAD file(there is a list of these)
4. COnfig issues in OTA server(this is the least possible) as most of the OTA servers will support.In case u running ur own OTA server, it can have issues.
Also same JAD/JAR combination can beahave differently on different device platform.

Oracle Clusterware error while installing

Hi all,
I am installing Oracle Clusterware (10.2.0.1) on solaris SPARC 5.10...and while installing Clusterware i am getting the following error
Exception PRKC-1044 : Failed to check remote command execution setup for node1 using shells /usr/bin/ssh and /usr/bin/rsh
node1 Connection refused
Then i executed the from node1
runcluvfy.sh stage -pre crsinst -n node2
Verifying node connectivity
ERROR:
User equivalence unavailable on all the nodes.
Verification cannot proceed
users id's on both the nodes are same.
I have configured SSH on both the nodes and its working fine for Public IP and Private IP.i can able to SSH wothout asking for apssword.
I have created Links for ssh and scp files.
ln -s -f /usr/bin/ssh /usr/local/bin/ssh
ln -s -f /usr/bin/scp /usr/local/bin/scp
then also i am getting the same error...here i have posted my etc/hosts

i have removed the login banner from both the hosts and now its working fine...
and now i am facing the problem with the IP address its not taking the correct IP address.....

Oracle 10G error - while installing 4.6C

Dear all,
I have tried installing 4.6c directly in oracle 10g in a HPUXIA64 server.
I followed the note 946141 and did the central instance and also installed Oracle and upgrade it to 10.2.0.2 then applied the interim patches.
After applying the interim patches I started the DATABASE.R3S file and it has loaded the data successfully and also statistics update was done successfully.
But it fails to start the database. when I checked the alert log it says.
ORA-00704: bootstrap process failure
ORA-39700: database must be opened with UPGRADE option

Error 704 happened during db open, shutting down database
USER: terminating instance due to error 704
Can anyone help me to solve this issue

But I got an error in the last step. mentioned below.

I start the service adautoconfig.
Other services like

But still i am getting errror.

Please post the details of the application release, database version and OS.
How do you get this error? Was this working before? If yes, any changes have been done recently?
Can you find any errors in the database log file?

Oracle application server 10.1.3.1.0 install - JAVA error

Hi Everyone,
I am trying to Install Oracle Application Server 10.1.3.1.0 on 32 bit Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 5.8 (Tikanga)
When running the Installer, I use the -ignoreSysPrereqs option because 10.1.3.1.0 is only supported with Linux Server 4, I believe. But I know people have installed it on Linux 5.7 and 5.8
anyways, Oracle application server gets installed and asks me to run root.sh. I run root.sh and then hit the OK button to proceed,
At this point, it tries to run the configuration assistant and fails right away with the following error:

Re-install Oracle application (OID)

Hi all,
I have Oracle application 10G already installed on the server running as specified PORT (not default 389). there was an issue (long story) so I blew everything away and re-install.
when I re-install Oracle app, even I specify to use the port in staticports.ini file but for some reason, it's use different port rather than the port I have in statisports.ini. from the installation process, I found that Oracle start opmn and it said already started which I don't understand (I already shut opmn down, the database down- blew eeverything away before the re-installalation).
How can I be sure that Oracle app use the port I want to use now?

Are you sure that no process is listening on port 389?
You can check that with netstat.
If you are running on windows, check the registry.
