Oracle finacial has different module and lot of tables.
Anybody built dimension or star schema based on oracle finacial source table.
If it's pls give me some sample of requirement,source table ,dimension and star schma.

I'm a PL/SQL developer and supposed to learn Oracle Apps - Financial Module from Technical perspective as a part of my new job requirement. So, could you please help me figure out the softwares required to start learning Oracle Apps. ?
I think, I need servers and clients of E-Business Suite & RDBMS (10 g or 11g). I'm afraid whether 200GB of free disk- space & 3 GB RAM on my Desktop may not be sufficient if I install both servers & Clients.
So, please suggest the essential components of E-business Suite and RDBMS I should get to start learning Financial Module considering the above limitation.

Oracle 11g - Memory used for sorting

Hi everyone,
I would like to know how I could analyze memory used for sorting in Oracle 11g. When I run the below query, it returns 1531381.
select value from v$sysstat where name like 'sorts (memory)';But when I check sort_area_size parameter from v$parameter, it returns 65536. Does it mean my database is using more memory for sorting than sort_area_size. Or is the way I interpret v$sysstat view and sort_area_size wrong? What is the best way to monitor the memory usage for sorting? Thanks in advance.

JUst as Tim_S said. YOu will want a external battery pack. Unforatannly the 430 does not have the option to plug in a external battery pack so will want to pick up a 580 or one of the new 600 series.

Looking for app to use for reminder of customers service days

I am a Chimney Sweep and I'm looking for an app i can have on my iPad & iMac that i can set reminders for customers service days, they could be a year ahead but its reminder for me to then tell the customer its time to have your chimney cleaned.

Have you looked through the Mac App store yet? If you have and haven't found anything then I'd suggest using a database such as FileMaker Pro to manage that. You may even find a template where someone has created a FileMaker Pro program that you can download and/or buy that does what you want.
